Just Stomping By...

Another card I made with no one in mind=)  I've seen the CAS-ual Fridays Challenges since they started but have yet to play along.  So finally, I'm giving it a go=)  For this weeks CFC37, they had a sketch challenge...my favorite=)  I also wanted to play along in Denami Design Theme Challenge #9, which is anything goes.
I started off stamping the Polka Dot Background in Lucky Limade then stamping the Elephant on top of the polkadots and cutting it out.  Nesties for my Basic Black and Poppy Parade panels.  I stamped the Three Line Border in Memento Ink on Lucky Limeade then ran it through a CB Folder.  I stamped my Sentiment in Memento Ink on Neenah, using SU's Photo Corner Punch to make my tag.  Prima flowers and a black rhinestone.  This is also my entry for this week's SCS CC359, Basic Black, Lucky Limeade, and Poppy Parade.

Thank-you for stopping by.  I hope ya'll have had a great weekend.

I had a Pampered Chef Party earlier this month for my friend Lindsey.  It was her Grand Opening Show to her new her Pampered Chef Business.  My goal was to have a $500 show and get 2 bookings...I did just that=)  I wanted to make some quick and simple cards for my guests thanking them for attending, booking, or placing a catalog order.  I appreciated their support and I know Lindsey did as well.
I've had these prefolded note cards from A Muse for some time and thought they'd be perfect for my card base.  I stamped the Silverware  in Going Gray and the sentiment from Noteworthy on top in Peach Parfait.  I ran both through my Cuttlebug and wha-la...done=)

Have a Great Day...

For this weeks MFTWSC56.  I think this is the first time in a long time that I've made a card for a challenge "just because".  It's always nice to have a few cards on hand to send to someone to let them know you're thinking of them=)
I really liked this sketch a lot.  I stamped PI Feeling Froggy in Memento Ink on Neenah then fussy cut her out.  I paper pieced her overalls.  Lucky Limeade, Taken with Teal, MME Lime Twist ( Happy Go Lucky) paper, Die-Namic Dizzy Doily Duo, Denami Design Ribbon, Bella Dots, and SU Photo Corner Punch.

I got some Happy Mail today...my 12 new Copic colors arrived...happy dance=)  I think I will be enjoying these new colors!

Thank-you so much for stopping by.  I hope ya'll have a fabulous evening.

The Lucky One...

My book club read The Lucky One by Nicholas Sparks for December.  It was pretty good, except how the book ended.  I won't ruin it for anyone who hasn't read it, but it just seemed rushed to me.  Anyhow, I made this for Lauren, our hostess to thank her for opening up her home and hosting the meeting for us.
This week's Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge 112 is In the Spotlight.  We were to highlight an area of the stamp or only use part of the stamp.  I decided to just use part of the stamp.  It worked perfect for this months SFYTT.  Lauren's decor was Chocolate and blueish aqua, that's where my color inspiration came from=)  I started off stamping Lucy in Memento Ink on Neenah, coloring with my copics.  I sponged the edges with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo and Old Paper Distress Inks.  Chocolate Chip, Denami Design Aqua Shimmer and MME Stella & Rose (Mabel) paper, Nesties, MME, SU, and Michael's Ribbons.  The photo seems a bit off but the colors match a lot better in person=(

Thank-you so much for stopping by, have a great day!

Memory Bear...

This is a very late thank-you card for my sweet (step) sister Kori.  For Christmas she had one of my Dad's Hawaiian shirts made into a Memory Bear for me.  My Dad passed away 5 years ago this month from esophageal cancer.  No words can express how thankful I am for her extremely thoughtful gift.

My card is for this week's MFTWSC55.  I flipped the sketch on it's side.  I stamped Jolinne-Friends Forever in Memento Ink on Neenah, coloring with Copics.  I used Prismacolored Pencils and OMS for the ground shading.  I paper pieced the teddy bear with some DSP I had on hand, it was as close to Hawaiian print paper I could get=)  Chocolate Chip, Bashful Blue, Marvelous Magenta cardstock, CB folder, SU Ribbon, and Rolled Rose Die-namic

Sharp's Hospital in La Mesa, CA has some very wonderful volunteers that make these Memory Bears.  If you would like to know more about the program, donate, or see how the process is done, please read here.  I can never thank them enough for their volunteer work that has touched so many people's lives.  I sobbed when he arrived...he will be cherished forever.  Thank-you so much Kori for my Memory Bear...I love you, more=)

Thank-you for stopping by.  I hope ya'll have a great week!

Bellariffic Friday and SSSC150...

For one of my customers.  She requested pink hair, a pink bow, and the MME paper.
For this weeks Bellariffic Friday Challenge, to use your favorite stamp.  I don't really have a "favorite" anymore and hear myself saying, "this is one of my favorites".  So, I used one of my favorite stamps Everyday Princess by Christy Croll.  I stamped my image on Neenah in Memento Ink, coloring with Copics.  I used Stickles for the gems and the heart on her shirt and a glaze pen on all the "silver" stuff and her shoes then fussy cut her out.  Crumb Cake, Denami Design Magenta, and MME Lost & Found Paper.  CB Folder, Nesties, SU Photo Corner Punch, and Denami Design Raspberry Ribbon

My customer also requested a couple of cards of mine that she had seen in my gallery on SCS.  Since I already made them before, I didn't want to make a seperate blogpost for them, but wanted to post them to show the changes in my coloring skills from September until now.

This is the card that I made for my customer.  I ran out of the blue flower so I made my own with one of my cricut cartridges and the MME paper.

This is the original card that she saw in my gallery and wanted me to duplicate for her.

I know they are just subtle coloring differences but I feel I've improved ever so slightly...what do you think?  Do you have a card preference?

Thank-you for stopping by.  I hope ya'll have a great weekend!

My Nephew-to-be...

Happy Friday the 13th!  In my house it's actually a good day!  13 runs in the family...my daughter was born on Friday the 13th (in October!).  My nephew-to-be is due May 13th, (my dad's birthday) I can go on and on, but I won't bore you with my number fascination, lol=)  This is for my little brother (and his girlfriend) who's getting ready to have his first baby.  I am so excited and happy for them.
This is my entry for this week's Bellarific Friday Challenge which is a sketch challenge.  I stamped Expectafellabella in Memento Ink on Neenah, then colored with Copics.  I added Smooch to the flowers.  Lucky Limeade, Island Indigo, Summer Sun, and EP Little Boy Paper.  CB Folder, Nesties, $1 Stamp from Michael's, and Bella Dots

Ya'll have anything fun planned for the weekend?  I'm having a Pampered Chef Party tonight, my friend Lindsey is doing it...crazy girl just had surgery yesterday!  Saturday I plan on crafting/fulfill a card order then go to my book club meeting that evening.  Hope ya'll have a great weekend!  Thank-you for stopping by!

Get Better Lindsey!!!

My dear sweet friend Lindsey is having surgery as I type.  She's having a lump removed from her leg.  I made this card for her to brighten her day=)

For my sketch I used this weeks MFTWSC54.  I started out stamping PI Better Get Better in Memento Ink on Neenah, coloring with Copics.  I used Smooch on the Teddy's bandages and Glaze Pen on her shoes, heart, and pole.  I didn't have a diecut pole thingie as in the sketch so I made my own using Banner Day Die and a thin strip of cardstock, stamping the sentiment from PI Better Get Better on the banner.  Very Vanilla, Lucky Limeade, Summer Sun, October Afternoon Paper, CB Folder, SU Victoria Ribbon, Denami Design Button, and SU Linen Thread.

Blogger was back to working normal today!  It went back to looking like it's old normal self and I was able to upload pictures without the help of my hubs, yay!

Thank-you so much for stopping by!  I hope ya'll have a great day!

Me and Lindsey last Saturday night.  We got together with our book club for a girls night out.

Cause for Celebration...

Sigh...oh my heck it's taken me forevah to try to make this blog post=(  I'm so not computer savvy and blogger decided to change things on me, eeek!  Luckily my hubs came to my rescue.  So here I am over 2 hours later finally getting this post made, double sigh, lol.

I did want to share my happy news with ya'll...well to toot my own horn I guess.  I was selected as one of Card Patterns Super 6 for this card.  I didn't win, but it still made my day=)

Anyhow, this is my for MIL's birthday, her birthday is in the morning.
I stamped PI Cause for Celebration in Memento Ink, on Neenah, coloring with Copics.  I stamped her dress and paper pieced it.  Then stamped her ribbon, colored it with copics and paper pieced it as well.  I added a glaze pen to her shoes.  I made the tag using the SU Photo Corner Punch.  Lucky Limeade, Going Gray, Cherry Cobbler and EP Victoria Gardens paper.  Nesties.  I'm also entering my card into the EP FB Color Inspiration Challenge.  The colors are, Black, Gray, Red, Pink, and Green.

I hope ya'll have a great Wednesday.  I'll be getting my carpets and couches cleaned, yay! (and stamping of course)...

Congratulations and Farewell MSgt Rodriguez...

Earlier this week I went to an Awards, Promotion, and Going Away Ceremony for one of my hubs co-workers.  She's going remote to Korea for a year.  It's not normal to have 3 ceremonies in one, but that's how the day went=)

I started off making my pinwheel from My Mind's Eye American Made, with a Denami Design Button in the middle.  I wrapped ribbon around foil to make the stick.  Finishing it off with a navy bow.  I made my tag using the SU Photo Corner Punch, sentiment from Service & Sacrifice and a Denami Design Button.  Night of Navy, Riding Hood Red and Neenah Cardstock.  CB Folder.

The goodies from my SFYTT Win have started to arrive so I'm going to spend the rest of the weekend playing with them=)  Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Quick and Simple Christmas Gift...

I put these together in record time to give out to my neighbors for Christmas this year.  Sadly, I didn't even do any stamping with them like I intended to=(  Ah well.  You may remember I did a similiar treat jar as a door prize for my spouse's group back in November.  My hubs was kind enough to pick up 10 1lb bags of peppermint kisses for me to make these and I still have 3 lbs left, sigh...I think I'm going to put the peppermint cheesecake recipe on the bag to use!  Anyhow, like I said, these are super quick and simple to make.  All you need is a quart size mason jar, goodies to fill the jar, a votive cup, votive candle, and ribbon.

Thank-you so much for stopping by.  Have a great weekend!

A Christmas Thank-you...

I made a few of these Thank-you cards to send to a couple people who put on my hubs Squadron's Children's Christmas Paty a couple of weeks ago.  Jessica, our spouse's group President always does a good job at planning everything and putting it all together.  Her husband was our Santa this year.  I wanted to let them know how much their time was appreciated=)  I also sent one to Santa's Elf.  He (Sgt. Manso) was such a good sport by dressing up in the little Elf costume, complete with tights and all=)  It was a fun evening for all, I think the kids had just as much fun as the adults did=)
This is for SCCC5, Christmas Thank-you's. I started off stamping the snowflakes from SU on Neenah with Memento Ink, then filled in with smaller snowflakes with Versamagic Sea Breeze.  Denami Design Iridescent Auquamarine and Black cardstock.  Tiffany Blue Ribbon from Michael's and sentiment from Silhouette Sentiments.

Below are some pictures from my hubs Squadron's Christmas Party...
