Hi...

This is for Denami Design Product Challenge #8.  I just love this Kitty.  It is too cute!  I stamped it on Neenah, inside of the Whimsical Oval Frame, coloring it with my Copics.  I used the Double Circle, stamping "HI" using Justrite Stampers.  I put some Glam Pink Stickles around the borders.  The patterned paper is Sandylion, I think?  Crumb Cake cardstock, CB Folder, Nesties, SU Circle Punches, and some Rhinestones.  My sketch is this months SFYTT.  I flipped it on it's side=)
Did anyone watch the last Oprah Show?  I just finished watching it...boy did I choke up and cry!

Thank-you to a great Commander...

I think this is my favorite paper line out at the moment.  It's by My Minds Eye, American Made.  Every time I go to work I keep buying a couple more sheets of it=)  I just love it!  I also made one of these cards for a sample for our store=)
My hubs Commander will be leaving us soon.  She's been such a great leader and an awesome supporter of our spouses group.  I made Col Kumashiro a set of 12 of these cards to thank her for all of her hard work she's done for my hubs squadron, she will be missed.
These cards were a lot of fun to make.  I just love the pinwheels.  I used SC332.  Poppy Parade c/s and a Denami Design button=)
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Welcome New Neighbor...

We had some new people move into the neighborhood a couple weeks ago.  I made them a card and some coconut pecan muffins to welcome them to the neighborhood.  It turns out they are a Military family as well and just moved here from Germany.
My card is so simple and basic.  When we got this paper at our store from We R Memory Keepers I knew I had to have some.  It's called Family & Keepsake, Charles.  I cut the trees and house out, popping the house up on pop dots.  Daffodil Delight, Certainly Celery cardstock, SU border punch.  The sentiment is from SU's Warm Words set.

*Update on my friend...I was able to go to the hospital to visit Melissa on Thursday.  She looked great, considering what she is going through.  Please say an extra special prayer her today.  She had a bone marrow biopsy on Friday.  Today she finds out if the Leukemia went into remission.
Have a great day everyone!  Thanks for stopping by.

Mother's Day for My Daughter...

This was my daughter's Mother's Day Card.  I bought her a Starbucks GC (pic below) a few weeks ago and used it as my inspiration. As I sat down making her card, she was at a job interview for Starbucks, which she immediately called me after to tell me she got the job, yay! She starts on the 23rd=)
The Bellarific Friday Challge this week was Kraft. I love Kraft with just about any color. As Em says, it's the "new black", lol. I stamped Perk me up PEEPS in Momento Ink on Neenah coloring them with Copics. I ran a piece of Kraft through a crimper (been years since I've used that thing!) then stamped and paper pieced the Kraft and Heart onto the cup. Kiwi Kiss, (I also ran that through the crimper) Garden Green, BG Origins Paper. Prima Flowers.

Thank-you for stopping by. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Miss You Dad...

With Blogger down I wasn't able to post this here yesterday but I did share it on fb, not something I usually do since not all of my friends on there are crafters.  Anyhow, my Dad's 71st Birthday would've been yesterday.  I made this card in memory of him.  He liked Tinkerbell and Pink.  Now how do you go about keeping a card "manly" when it's made using Tinkerbella and Pink???  I tried my best and just kept it simple.  The image was RAK'ed to me several years ago and I'm sad to say this was my last image...I guess I'll have to buy the stamp now!  I colored her with Copics and highlighted her with Smooch.  Certainly Celery, Garden Green, Whisper White, Denami Design Hot Pink, and BG Sultry Paper.  Tim Holtz Tattered Flowers Die, SU Punch, CB Folder, Denami Design Buttons, and SU Ribbon.  For my layout I used this weeks MOJO190.
This card is going off to my Momma when she saw it on fb she asked if she could have it or a copy of one just like it. I said yes, of course...=)
Thank-you for stopping by!

Best Wishes to a Great Dr...

My Doctor is moving to VA in June.  Thursday was my last appointment with her so I made her a lil' card to thank her for the wonderful Doctor she's been to me.  She will be missed!
For my layout I used this week's CPS217.  I stamped PI Better Get Better in Momento Ink on X-Press It Paper, coloring her in with Copics.  Kiwi Kiss, Regal Rose, My Mind's Eye Lime Twist.  Sentiment from SU Noteworthy set.  I used Green Apple Smooch on the bandages.  Denami Design Buttons and some pink Twine.
Thank-you so much for stopping by, enjoy your weekend!

You're a Blast...

I made this for Denami Design Sketch Challenge #8.  I used Outer Space Stamp Set, Rocketship, Space Chickie.  I stamped my images in Momento Ink, coloring them with Copics.  I went over the Space Suit with a Glitter Pen as well as adding it to the Shooting Stars and Rocketship Windows.  Tangerine Tango and Night of Navy Cardstock and SU Punches.
This card is on it's way to Denami Design=) (Paulina, ssshhh!)  When I worked their booth at the Tucson Stamp Expo, Bryant's (Nami and Gary's son, Paulina's brother) birthday was coming up in a couple of days.  When I asked him what he wanted for his birthday he said, "to drink rootbeer and eat candy all day!"  I got the biggest laugh out of that!  Whenever I work with the boys we always talk about candy, lol.  Anyhow, he reminded me of these Rootbeer Barrell candies I use to eat when I was growing up.  Walmart use to sell them in a white bag, I can't remember the name of the company tho, but they were so good!  Anyhow, I of course couldn't find them.  Then I remembered A&W Rootbeer sold some as well...eventually I looked online and found out they aren't going to be making them anymore!  I had no luck finding them before heading up to Glendale the following weekend to the Denami Design Booth.  I felt so bad...I thought for sure I could find them for Bryant.  I just happen to be in an Albertson's and asked if they sold them and sure enough they did!  So...I picked Bryant up some to send him=)  I know it's way late for him to enjoy on his birthday, but now he can have rootbeer and candy all in one=)
Thank-you for stopping by...enjoy your day!

Happy Birthday Melissa!

Today is my friend Melissa's Birthday.  I know she is celebrating today, even though she is in the hospital getting treatment for Acute Leukemia.  Melissa is such a positive person, not one to take things for granted.  She's a fighter, one of the strongest women I know.  She's such a great friend and person, one that is beautiful on the inside and out.  Please continue to pray for her so she can get better and come home to her husband and sweet baby girl.  Happy Birthday Melissa!
For my card I used Fairy Sweet Jolinne, stamping her in Momento Ink on Neenah CS, coloring her with Copics.  For her wings I colored them with Copics then went over them with Smooch.  Melon Mambo, Going Gray, Black, and EP Be Mine, Paper.  Nesties, Tim Holtz Tattered Flowers Die, CB Folder, Prima Flower, American Crafts Ribbon, and Denami Design Rhinestones.  For my layout I used MFTWSC18.  I also entered my card into EP FB Contest.  We were to make projects over the weekend using their products and post them to their FB Page=)
I hope all or you Mom's had a wonderful Mother's Day yesterday!  Have a great week and thank-you for stopping by!

Sebastian's Baptism Cards...

Happy Mother's Day to all of you mom's out there!  Remember me talking about the cards I was making for a friend and my retired ink pad was running dry???  This is them=)  Thanks again Shannon for saving the day!  I made 40 of these cards for my friends sons Baptism.  Sebastian was Baptised last weekend but I wasn't able to got, I had to work=(
I stamped the baby feet in Barely Banana then stamped Crosses of Hope in Bashful Blue, cutting out the cross then mounting it on pop dots.  I made the plaid using Denami Design Three Line Border Stamp.  It is one of my favorite stamps of theirs!  If you went to the Tucson Stamp Expo this year (or Boise in the Fall)...you know that I'm telling the truth=)  I love, love, love this stamp!  On a side note, the baby feet I bought in Germany in 2001 at a home party from a company that was selling stamps that you mounted on a piece of vinyl then clung it to an acrylic block.  That was my first introduction to "unmounted" stamps.  I still have all the stamps I bought at that home party but have no idea what the name of the company is or if it was a German or American company.  Funny how years later that concept really took off.  I still prefer wood mounted stamps, but I admit I don't care to assemble them myself.
Thank-you for stopping by.  For all of you moms out there...enjoy the rest of your Mother's Day!

Prayers...For You...

The "should have beens" and the reality of this past weekend just breaks my heart.  My friend was getting ready to celebrate her first child's 1st birthday over the weekend.  She sent us a reminder email on Tuesday, on Wednesday she had to cancel the party.  She was admitted into the hospital Thursday, her baby girl turned 1 on Friday.  Saturday she started chemo for Acute Leukemia, the day she was to celebrate her sweet baby girl's 1st birthday.  This was all unexpected to my friend, please keep her and her family in your thoughts and prayers.               I'm entering my card into this weeks BLDC15 and MOJO189 challenges.  I used Momento Ink, Copics, Neenah, Cameo Coral, Blushing Bride, Chocolate Chip, and Garden Party Cardstock.  Nesties, Die-namics, Tim Holtz Tattered Florals Die, SU Silver Cord.  The sentiment is from Verve Stamps So Happy Set.
Thank-you for stopping by.
