Flower Fairies...

Happy World Rare Disease Day to my fellow friends with Rare Diseases.  Today has been such a heartwarming day for me.  I've enjoyed the texts I've been getting from my friends and pictures of my friends wearing their Zebra Stripes posted to my Wall...it has brought me near tears a couple of times, I really do have the greatest friends.  Usually I have a Zebra Card of somesort to share on this day, but unfortunately life has been so busy for me I didn't have the time to squeeze it in.  Ah well.  Thank-you to everyone who has supported me and left a comment on my little blog give-a-way.
This is for this months SFYTT and I'm barely getting it in on time.  I used Flower Pot Fairies from YNS.  I stamped in Memento Ink on Neenah, coloring with Copics.  I added Smooch to the wings.  Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, EP Country Drive paper, nesties, buttons, and twine.

Thank-you so much for stopping by.  Hope you enjoy the rest of you day!

Vampire Hunter...

I made this card to thank our book club hostess for having us in her home for our meeting this month.  We read Abraham Lincoln; Vampire Hunter by Seth Grahme-Smith.  It was a pretty good book, extremely detailed, with a couple of scenes in the book that are so descriptive I think they'll forever be etched in my mind.  With that said, I am looking forward to seeing the movie when it comes out in June.

I'm just barely getting my card in for this week's MFTWSC60.  I started out stamping my image from Well Read in Memento Ink onto a piece of BG Indie Bloom, then used a nestie.  I did a second nestie the same size in white and trimmed off the excess.  I paper pieced the pillows, book, and the gal (after coloring her on a piece of Neenah with Copics).  I didn't have the Die-Namic used for the top piece that has my sentiment so I used a SU Punch I've had for years (and can't remember the name).  Rose Red, Pool Party, Lucky Limeade cardstock, Die-Namics Dizzy Doily Duo, Die-Namics Open Scallop Edge and sentiment from Noteworthy.

I hope you'll support me on World Rare Disease Day, February 29th by wearing Zebra Stripes to help raise awareness for the rare genetic connective tissue disorder I have, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome.  I also have a small little blog candy I'm giving away to honor the day, all you have to do is comment on this post.

Thank-you for stopping by, have a great day!

Rainbow's End...

I'm going to try formatting my posts just a wee bit differently.  I'm one of those visual type people and I've honestly have been spending so much time trying to line everything up just right.  It's been exhausting as well as frustrating as I am not the least bit tech savvy.  So my posts may vary as far as my formatting goes as I try to figure out which way works the easiest for me as well as which way is eye pleasing=)

This is for Denami Design Sketch Challenge #11.  I stamped Rainbow in Staz On on Water Color Paper and colored with Real Red, Tangerine Tango, Garden Green, and Brilliant Blue Ink Pads and a water color brush.  I put Crystal Lacquer over the entire Rainbow then sprinkled Citrone Glitter over it.  I stamped the Small Cloud then ran it through the CB with my Swiss Dot Folder (hard to see in photo) an added Stickles to the Small Cloud.  I cut them out and added foam dots to them.  Tangerine Tango, Watercolor Paper, and Crumb Cake Cardstock, Die-Namics, and Twine.  The inside is sentiment says, "I journeyed to Rainbow's End and found not gold but you my friend".
Thank-you so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a great week!

Wishing You a Speedy Recovery...

For one of my dear friends who recently had surgery.  Hopefully this will cheer her up a bit=)

This is for Day 4 of CPS's 5th Anniversary Challenge, using CPS220.  I stamped the lil' girl from Better Get Better in Memento Ink on Neenah, coloring with Copics.  I paper pieced the dress, then paper pieced the teddy bear on top of the dress.  Glaze pen on the heart and shoes, Stickles on the bandages.  Real Red, Blushing Bride, EP Happy Days paper. Die-Namice Border, Real Red Ribbon, Die-Namics Rolled Flower, Old Olive for the leaves, CB Folder, and Rhinestones.

This is my first time playing along in colorQ.  This is for colorQ124- Real Red, Pretty in Pink, Cool Caribbean, Very Vanilla and White.  I hope my colors aren't too off (my pink and blue) and I just realized as I type this out I forgot the Vanilla, sigh.

For everyone who completed all 15 sketches of the CPS 5th Anniversary Challenge, Congrats!

Thank-you for stopping by, enjoy your weekend!

A Boy's Life...

For our friends son who's birthday is tomorrow.

I wanted to keep my card clean and simple.  I went with Day 13 of CPS's 5th Anniversary Challenge, using CPS121.  I stamped Friendly Robot in Memento Ink, on Neenah, coloring with Copics, using Prismacolor Pencils and OMS to add a little depth to my image.  I fussy cut him out and mounted him on foam squares.  Pool Party and EP A Boy's Life.  I'll be entering this in EP FB A Boy's Life Project Contest.

Thank-you for stopping by!  Have a great weekend!

Lulu Thanks You...

For one of my friends who placed a card order with me.  She recently became a Pampered Chef Consultant and asked if I'd make her a card for one of her hostesses.  She asked for a card that was green and brown with an apron type theme.  I sent her the link to Stamping Bella's Lulu's Two Pies and another stamp set and asked which she preferred, she said this one...that it looked like a "Tanya Card"=)  Yes, I {heart} my SB stamps!

Anyhow, I did my norm, Neenah, Memento, and Copics.  I added a Glaze Pen to the pie tins and her shoes.  Stickles to her apron.  I went over her hair and the hem of her dress with a multi-liner.  I added some depth to the greens with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS.  I paper pieced her oven mitts.  Crumb Cake, Jillibean papers, SU Border Punch, Lucky Limeade Ribbon, Linen Thread, and a Button.  My sketch is this weeks CPS152, my image was too big for an oval so I just went with a rectangle.  This is also my entry for this weeks Bellariffic Friday Challenge which is Anything Goes.

I was on Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Blog Hop today and came across Elaine from Quixotic Cards.  She did this cool color chart she called a Color Map and thought, what a great idea!  She's using a marker that is new to me (ShinHan Touch Twin Marker) and not Copics, but I still love the concept.  There's been a couple times I loved how a color combo turned out on a card I made, went back to look at the card and for the life of me couldn't remember what colors I used=(  So, I hope to do this for now on, for my own reference and if it helps someone else out as well, then great!

Thank-you for stopping by!  I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Thinking of You on Valentine's Day...

I'm a "Key Spouse" for my hubs squadron.  One of my duties is to make calls to the deployed spouses and check up on them from time to time.  I thought I'd send the spouse's of our deployed members a Valentine's Day card to let them know I was thinking of them=)

I used Day 8 of CPS's 5th Anniversary Challenge, CPS102.  I started off cutting a square out of my Very Vanilla base with a nestie.  Then stamped En Francais in Crumb Cake on Very Vanilla and mounted it on the inside of the base card.  Next I taped a piece of EP Times & Season's to a thin piece of cardboard (my protein bar box, lol) and ran it through my CB.  I stamped my sentiment from The Cat's Pajamas in Crumb Cake on Very Vanilla, mounting it on a small strip of a Die-Namics in Bravo Burgundy.  For this weeks CAS156 we were to use hearts.  This sketch was perfect for the challenge=)

Thank-you so much for stopping by.  I hope ya'll are having a great week!

Fabulous Friends...

Our "car club" friends had us over for dinner last weekend.  We had Baked Ziti and Caprese Salad.  It was the first time my hubs and I had eaten both and we both thought it was pretty yummy!  We went to see Sherlock Holmes afterwards, what a fabulous movie!  It was long, but one of those movies that is so good it just flies by.  Anyhow...I made them this card to thank them for dinner and for a nice evening out=)

As always I start out with Memento Ink, Neenah, and my Copics.  My image, Neighbor is by Unity Stamps (it was one of the stamps they sent from my SFYTT win, thank-you Unity!)  I used a glaze pen on the windows and roof and outlined the image with a glitter pen.  SU Photo Corner Punch for the tag, sentiment from SU Right at Home set.  Nesties, Die-Namics, CB Folder, Island Indigo, Pool Party and EP Little Boy paper.  I used this week's SCS CC360- Island Indigo, Pool Party, and White.  For my sketch I used Day 3 of the CPS 5th Anniversary Challenge, CPS54.

Thank-you so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a fabulous day!

Happy 3rd Birthday Wylie!!!

My oldest grandson, Wylie will be 3 on Friday...where on earth has the time gone!?!?  He's grown so much since they moved in with us.  Talks like crazy, but he's so shy until he gets to know you.  My favorite thing he says is after giving me a kissey kissey, I tell him, "I love you" and he says, "I love you more".  Melt my heart!  My dad use to say that to me when we'd hang up the phone.  I love that my grandson says it to me now=)

I managed to play along in this weeks MFTWSC57.  I don't know why, but these funky angles scared me, lol!  They were actually quite easy to make once I got the measurement down.  For once, that is how I started, working with my sketch first, then my image.  This guy is Ahoy Matey.  As usual, I used Memento, Neenah, and Copics.  I added a glaze pen to his eye patch and a white gel pen to the polka dots on his head wrap.  They unfortunately turned a tad pink, lol.  Cherry Cobbler, Soft Suede, and Crate Paper School Spirit paper.  Die-Namics Stacking Stars and Rhinestones.  Prismacolored Pencils and OMS for the ground shading.

Thank-you so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a great week!

You're Stuck With Me...

Ahhh, I love a bit of humor...this will be my Valentine for my hubs=)  Drucilla is one of my favorite images from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and one of the first images I purchased.  For this weeks Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge 113 we were to do handmade embellishments.  I know the flower isn't all that creative, ah well.  I started off stamping my image in Memento Ink on Neenah, coloring with Copics.  I used a glaze pen on her bows, barettes, her shoes, heart on the bear, the pins and topped the pins with mini pearls.  The shading around her and the ground is done with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS.  The shading on the edges is done with Tim Holtz Old Paper Distress Ink.  SU Photo Corner punch for my tag, Tim Holtz Tattered Flowers, Die-Namics Rolled Flower topped with a pearl for my flower.  The sentiment is from Kraftin' Kimmie Sassy Sentiments Set.  Bravo Burgundy, Crumb Cake, and EP Times & Seasons paper.  For my layout I used the current SSSC151.

Happy 5th Anniversary!!!

This is for TESC151, it's also my first time playing along in a Taylored Expressions Challenge.  Unfortunately I don't have any of their stamps...yet!  I kept it super simple as I was pressed for time.  I started out with my nestie circles, stamping my sentiment on my main panel.  I ran my heart nesties through the CB and added them to the main panel, followed by a row of pearls.  Rose Romance, Very Vanilla, and EP Be Mine  paper, button, and ribbon.

This is for my friend Lindsey and her husband.  They're celebrating their 5th Wedding Anniversary today!  Wishing ya'll many more years together!

Thank-you so much for stopping by, I hope you're having a great week.  I've been enjoying all the posts on FB from CHA=)  I hope to go one of these days!
