Sending Happy Thoughts...

What a jammed packed weekend and week I've had.  I took Terry Medaris' Prismacolor Pencil Class.  It was very different from what I expected, but fun.  I also went to see The Hunger Games with some friends and it was pretty good, though obviously the whole concept is rather disturbing.  Anyhow, with me still not feeling well and lots going on, I'm once again late with my MFTWSC64 entry...

I'm a Key Spouse for my husbands squadron.  One of my duties is to check up on the spouses of our deployed service members, make sure they are doing ok during their spouses deployment and see if they need anything.  Me being a card maker...I like to send them happy mail from time to time, this is one of the cards I'm sending out=)

My card is super simple and barely has any stamping on it at all.  The birds on the My Minds Eye Lost and Found Two Blush paper caught my eye so I thought I'd make them be somewhat of a focal point.  Crumb Cake, Regal Rose cardstock, sentiment from MFT All Smiles, SU Photo Corner Punch, SU Linen Thread, Denami Design Ribbon and Button.

At The Hunger Games...
Me and Lindsey.

Me and Jackie

Thank-you for stopping by.  Have a fabulous night!

Birthday Wishes...

I made this for a friend of mine who's Birthday is tomorrow.  I hope she likes it=)

This is for Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge #120 which is a sketch challenge.  I stamped Francesca in Memento Ink on Neenah, coloring with Copics.  I added a Glaze Pen to her hair clips, button on her hat, shoes, and candles.  Smooch to her tights, ruffle on her skirt, and the flames on the candles.  Denami Design Glitter on the cupcakes.  Shading on her hat, dress and ground done with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS.  Blush Blossoms, Pool Party, and Echo Park Graceful paper, Stamping Bella Sentiment, SU Photo Corner Punch, Denami Design Ribbon and Buttons, SU Linen Thread.

Tomorrow I'm taking a Prismacolor Pencil Class from Tony Medaris, I'm looking so forward to it!!!  He's a local southwest artist.  He's not Paula Williamson...who I've dreamed of taking a Prismacolor Class from, but I'm still really excited.  Then tomorrow night I'm going to see The Hunger Games with some of the gals from my book club...can't wait!!!

Thank-you so much for stopping bye!  Have a great weekend!!!

Friends Like You...

I'm so blessed to have such sweet and thoughtful friends in my life.  My sweet dear friend Lindsey got me a Zebra Pillow Pet while I was sick.

Two other friends got me flowers (I forgot to take a picture of the second bouquet of flowers that I got, pout!)

Today Lindsey came over and brought me some Pampered Chef goodies, "just because"...I feel so loved!  So, I made this card for Lindsey to thank her for the Zebra Pillow pet, Pampered Chef goodies, and to let her know how much I appreciate her friendship.

I started off stamping Jaime in Memento in on Neenah, coloring with Copics.  I shaded her overalls and hair bows with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS as well as the grass.  I added a Glaze Pen to her eyes and hair bows and a Glitter Pen to the Butterfly.  Lucky Limeade, Regal Rose, and MME Miss Caroline Dolled Up papers, SU Photo Corner Punch, SU Border Punch, Lucky Limeade Ribbon, Denami Design Button, SU Linen Thread, sentiment from Felicity and Blair living life.  This is also my entry for this weeks Bellariffic Friday Challenge which is a sketch Challenge.

Thank-you so much for stopping by.  Have a great night!

Spring Sophie...

I've only played along in one other inspiration challenge before.  I'm not usually drawn to them because I don't feel I do well with them, but knew I had to play along when I saw BLD26

I won this Lollipop Sophie digital image many months ago when I played along in my first BLD Challenge.  My hubs took Lollipop Sophie and flipped her to make two side by side and printed her on Neenah.  Even tho these were printed weeks ago, I had to be careful when I was coloring with my Copics, the ink was bleeding just a tad.  I used Prismacolor Pencils and OMS for shading on the dresses, hair bows, and the ground.  Cath has been doing the "out of the box" technique lately and I just love how it looks on her cards.  I've done this technique once before with not such great, I thought I would give it another try...and I'm happy with the way it turned out=)  Thank-you Cath for the inspiration!  I used Gina K's Pure Luxury White for my card base, EP Dots & Stripes Candy Shoppe and EP Dots & Stripes Metropolitan paper.  Nesties, SU Border Punch, Denami Design Ribbon, Twine, and a Button.  My layout is SSSC154.

Thank-you so much for stopping by.  Have a great night!

Have Hope...

I'm finally starting to feel normal again, yay!  I'm still having some issues eating food, hopefully this will soon pass!  We had some crazy weather today.  Rain, Graupel (what everyone thought was snow, but apparently it wasn't.  It reminded me of hail, but much smaller and softer) and lots of wind.  With the wind chill it was 38 Tucson, AZ!  I'm not going to complain...I love rain storms and snow (or rather graupel) showers.  Perfect day to craft which is just what I did=)

I made this card for this weeks MFTWSC63.  Instead of making a square I kept mine my normal card size.  I started off stamping Pure Innocence Have Hope in Memento Ink on Neenah, coloring with Copics.  I used Prismacolor Pencils and OMS for some shading on her leggings and the ground.  I used a Glaze Pen on her hair clip, heart, and shoes.  Lucky Limeade, Rose Red, Blush Blossoms, and EP This & That Grateful papers.  I used Die-Namice Open Scallop Edge, ran it through my Xron Sticker Maker (thank-you Karen Giron for the tip on your blog!) then sprinkled it with Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.  Lucky Limeade Ribbon, SU Photo Corner Punch, SU White Baker's Twine, Denami Design Buttons, and Foam Squares.

Just a Note...

Sorry I've been MIA.  I got super sick and was admitted into the hospital for a couple of nights.  I ended up having an upper endoscopy and some biopsies.  I'll get the results on the 26th (it can't come fast enough!).  So, needless to say I haven't felt up to creating the last few days.

This is for MFTWSC62, tho it's late since I was sick that week.  I still wanted to make sure to do the sketch first thing so I'd keep on track with my goal to complete all 52 sketches this year=)  I stamped Who's That Musical Girl in Memento Ink on Very Vanilla Cardstock coloring with Copics.  I paper pieced the shirt.  Melon Mambo, Black, and EP Be Mine paper, Nesties, SU Photo Corner Punch, Melon Mambo Ink.

I made this for a card order.  My friend Lindsey is a Pampered Chef Consultant and ordered a few cards from me=)  I'm a bit late in posting this, but this was for Friday's Bellariffic Friday Challenge, which was Polka Dots.  I stamped Lulu's Two Pies in Memento Ink, on Neenah, coloring with Copics.  I used Stickles on her apron and a Glaze Pen on the Buttons, Pie Tins and her Shoes.  White, Yo-Yo Yellow, Night of Navy, EP Dots & Stripes Paper, Denami Design Sheer Ribbon and Button, and Michael's Yellow Ribbon.  For my layout I used CPS152.

Life is Sweet...

This post will be up top for about 2 weeks.  As some of you know I have a rare connective tissue disorder called Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (my original post about it).  February 29th is World Rare Disease Day.  Like the Pink Ribbon is to Breast Cancer, the Zebra is to EDS.  I'm asking my Crafty Friends to join in and help raise awareness for my rare condition by wearing Zebra Print on February 29th.  It could be anything, a bracelet, shirt, ribbon.
To celebrate I have a little set from MFT called My Little Firecracker I'm giving away.  When I won Jen del Muro's SFYTT Christmas Give-a-Way I accidentally got this lil' gal again with the gift voucher MFT so generously donated...I guess I really liked her=)

Here's how it will work...
If you are already a follower your name will go into the drawing twice.
If you are not a follower, become one and your name will go in twice.
Leave a comment, your name goes in once (you can leave one comment a day).
If you make and send me a card with a Zebra on it or any type of Zebra print, your name will go in five times (I have a contact tab for my addy, just put Zebra in the subject line).
Deadline to enter is 11:59 PM MST on March 3rd.  I will draw the winning name on March 4th. onto my card=) I made this card for this week's MFTWSC59. I stamped Sweet Greetings in Memento Ink on Neenah, coloring with Copics. I used Flower Soft for her cotton candy. Real Red, Taken with Teal, Blushing Bride, and EP Happy Days paper, Bottle Cap, Clear Epoxy Domes, SU Phot Corner Punch.

My color map=)

If you're still with me, sorry for the long winded post!
Thank-you for stopping by, have a wonderful week!
