Triple Crown Challenge 2019...

I made this to thank Cyclefit Solutions for hosting the annual Triple Crown Challenge.  This event consists of cycling up three mountains in three days, day 1- Mt. Graham, day 2- Kitt Peak, day 3- Mt. Lemmon and is by invitation only.  I climbed a total of 17,023 feet over 129 miles and cycled up to the Mt. Lemmon Observatory for my first time.  It was an incredible challenge and well run by Tim with Cycleful Solutions.
I used the current SC746 for my layout.  My color inspiration came from one of Tim's cycling kits- Real Red, Tempting Turquoise and White.  I used a marker and art spritzer then stamped the bicycles from the Hero Arts set.  My Favorite Things Die-namics Monarch Border. Sentiment is from the Stampin' Up Express Yourself set.

My color inspiration, from one of Cyclefit Solutions Cycling Kits.

Happy Birthday Steve!!!

For my friend Steve who's birthday is Tuesday.  He opened up a whole new world of cycling to me about two years ago with his climb and descend clinic.  I was terrified to go down hill at 17mph when I first met him...now I'm able to go 43mph!  He's also an awesome sponsor for the Tucson Tri Girls (Bicycle Ranch Tucson).  Happy Birthday Steve!!!  I hope you have a fantastic day and thank you for all that you do for the cycling community!
I used this week's SC745 for my layout.  I picked Black, Real Red, and White for the card since those are the colors of Steve's shop and shop's cycling kit.  Hero Arts stamp set for the bike and MFT Sweet Succulents set for the sentiment.  Kept is clean and simple.

Thanks, I Needed That...

A card for my friend for taking me to and appointment that I needed a driver for.  With my hubs starting a new job, he wasn't able to take the time off.
I've had this card forever, before I ever uploaded to SCS or started blogging.  It was one of my favorites that I never wanted to let go of.  Silly I know...  Anyhow...it was made with Mellow Moss, Cameo Coral, Rose Red and Very Vanilla Card stock.  SU Sweet & Simple stamp set.  Eyelet, brads, grossgrain ribbon, linen thread, tag, spritzer and markers.

Excell in Purple Roses...

Happy birthday Jen!!!  For my cycling buddy and friend.  I met Jen almost 2 years ago...my cycling world has completely changed since meeting her!
I used Gorgeous Grape as my base, layered with black.  I stamped Stampin' Ups Musical Score in Memento on Neenah then cut it in strips.  Next I stamped the rose from Stampin' Ups Fifth Avenue Floral on Neenah in Memento, coloring with Copics, then fussy cut it out and used pop dots to give it some dimension.    My Favorite Things Royal Leaves Die-namics in Old Olive.  I used SC743 for my layout.
Thank you for stopping by, have a great evening!

Hay, Girl Hay...

I made this for my awesome teammate, Karen.  She's such a sweet lady and just full of energy and excitement at the growth of the women on our cycling team this year.  She's so dedicated and driven with her training and racing...I'm in awe of all the things that she's doing this season.  We were suppose to have a race her birthday weekend but unfortunately it was cancelled.  So a few of us got together and rode the race course...just not as many times, haha!
I based my card off the one below.  I fell in love with it when I saw it.  Thank you Sheri Gilson!  I started off stamping the LLama from MFT LLama Love on Neenah with Memento ink, coloring with Copics, then fussy cutting the Llama out.  I also stamped the Saguaro in Memento ink on Neenah with Copics, then used a Copic multi-liner to draw in a sand dune.  Neenah card base, black, Retired SU Gable Green, cuttlebug folder, Spellbinders, and rhinestones to finish off the card.

Pie in the Sky...

For my cycling buddy and ride leader, Stacy.  Every year we celebrate our ride leaders, Stacy and Carolyn's birthday with a ride up Mt. Lemmon and Ski Valley to have "Pie in the Sky".  We had to postpone the ride a month due to cold weather and snow on top of the mountain.  This was my second time cycling up Mt. Lemmon and my very first time cycling up to Ski Valley.  I feel like a "big girl" now, haha!

I used SC742 for my layout.  I used Echo Park Paper So Happy Together.  Bicycle stamp from Hero Arts.  Sentiment from MFT Sweet Succulents.  Coastal Cabana and Real Red ink and Spellbinders Nestabilities.
Thank you so much for stopping by.  Have a great rest of your weekend!

Hellcat...

I made this for my friend and teammates birthday last month.  She has helped me tremendously with my cycling this year, I honestly don't know how I would've gotten through this last year without her.  She's simply amazing!
My color inspiration came from her bike, Hellcat.  I used SC738 for my layout, flipping it on it's side.  Poppy Parade, Coastal Cabana, Black, and White card stock.  Hero Arts stamp in Poppy Parade.  Sentiment from a MFT PI set.  Finished it off with a button and linen cord.
Me and Carolyn celebrating her birthday last year on top of Mt. Lemmon.

Thank you for taking a look at my blog.
Enjoy the rest of you weekend!

Cycling Through the Years...

One of my friends asked if I could make a special card for her and her husband's upcoming 20th Wedding Anniversary.  She had a cycling theme of gifts that she was giving him and wanted something along the same lines.  She also requested that the colors be red and gold since he was a Marine.  This is what I came up with...

I saw a shirt that came up in my fb feed that had a heart made with bicycles.  It was super cute so I thought I'd give it a go.  I lightly traced a heart from one of the MFT die-namics.  I used my stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp around the heart then erased the traced heart.  Real Red, Crushed Curry and White card stock.  My Favorite Things Little Numbers Die-namics

Thank you for stopping bye-
Have a great weekend!
