Zindorf Teaching in Tucson!!!

I'm going to keep this post at the top to spread the word=)  If you aren't familiar with Michelle Zindorf (scs- zindorf) you have to take a peek at her blog to see her amazing work!  I took Michelle Zindorf's Classes earlier this year in Phoenix and had a blast!  I talked Michelle into coming to Tucson to teach her brayering classes=)  If you are interested, here's a little info about the class:

No pre-knowledge needed.

The beginner workshop is 3 hours long and she provides all the materials. The only thing you will need to bring is scissors and paper crafting adhesive. You will get a kit to take home with you that consist of a Speedball Brayer, Stamp Set, White Gel Pen and Stamping Mat/Pad so you can continue on with the new skill that you will learn. You will create 3 projects. Cost of the workshop is $125.

Here are the class times:

Saturday, January 29, 2011

10:00 to 1:00 Beginner

2:00 to 5:00 Beginner

Sunday, January 30, 2011

10:00 to 1:00 Beginner

2:30 to 6:00 Advanced

If you take the beginner workshop you may want to take the advanced workshop also.  The 3.5 hour advanced workshop takes brayering to the next level and you will receive another $60 kit with different Tools and Stamps. Kit is included in the registration fee. You will create 3 more projects. You need to take the beginner brayer workshop before you can take the advanced workshop. The Beginner and Advanced workshops can be taken back to back. The cost of the Advance Workshop is $125.

Register early, the workshops tend to fill up fast.

If interested please e-mail mzindorf@aim.com   Michelle takes personal checks or paypal. Workshop registration fees are non-refundable and due at the time of registration. She will refund the registration fee in full if she's unable to make the trip.

Happy Holidays Everyone!

Welcome to Tucson Zindorf!

Michelle Zindorf is in Tucson this weekend teaching her brayering class at my house=)  She asked if I'd hold up a sign that said "Zindorf" so she could find me more easily at the airport.  So, I made this sign to hold when she flies in...I hope I did her proud, lol.  I am embarrassed to say I took Michelle's classes in Phoenix last year and have only brayered once since the class.  Let's see if my skills improved any or will I hear her say, "you gotta get it on the paper Tanya" haha!  I'm also embarrassed to say that I used my cricut for the first time making her sign...I've only had it for 2 years, lol.
Have a fabulous weekend...I know I'm going to=)

Aloha Denami Design

I was unable to sleep the other night so I got up from 12:30-2:30 am to craft, lol. This is what I made for Denami Design Sketch Challenge #6 during my insomnia spell. All of my stamps are from Denami Design as well as the Buttons and Ribbon. I can't tell you how much I LOVE their Ribbon! I stamped the Surfboards with Momento Ink on Neenah Cardstock. I colored them with Copics and put a layer of Crystal Lacquer on them. I stamped the Aloha and Small Palm Tree Silhouettes in Tangerine Tango, mounting both on Concord Crush. My card base is Bermuda Bay.
I'm cleaning house today and getting things all ready for Michelle Zindorf's class this weekend. I pick her up tomorrow afternoon from the airport, can't wait! If you're in Tucson, there's 4 spots left in the beginning classes...2 on Saturday afternoon and 2 on Sunday morning. We'd love to have you join us!
Thank-you for stopping by, have a great rest of your week

Sparkle's Christmas Card Challenge Week #6

I am finally caught up with Sparkle's Christmas Card Challenge...well, I still have week #8 to do but that's not due until Saturday.  Maybe I can squeeze in a bit of stamping inbetween my prepping and cleaning for Michelle Zindorf's visit.  Anyhow, our challenge was Snowmen.  I used Lulu's Snowman from Stamping Bella.  I started off using Mercy's FFF Sketch but ended up not using the whole sketch.  I colored in my image with Copics on Neenah Cardstock with Momento ink.  I put Smooch on Lulu's coat and hat, Stickles on the hat trim, and Glamour Dust on the Snowman and snow.  I used Versamagic Sea Breeze for the Shadowing. Maya Road Ribbon and the DSP is My Mind's Eye I believe.
Thank-you so much for stopping by, hope you're having a great Tuesday!

Sparkle's Challenge, Week#7

Two post for me in one day, yay!  I'm trying to play catch up since I got so far behind on challenges when I was sick.  It's really important to me to stay up on Sparkle's Christmas Card Challenges, that way my Christmas Cards are done before Christmas and I'm not stressing over the Holidays=)  Our Challenge this week was a sketch challenge, my favorite!  I put this card together quickly this morning so I can get it in the challenge on time.  I used A Muse Stamps, BG Figgy Pudding, Nesties, Copics to highlight the Ice Skates and went over them with some Smooch.
I may be MIA next week.  I'll be prepping my house for Michelle Zindorf to come and teach her Brayering Class.  I'm so excited!  Well, I'm going to get my hair colored then I get to go to work in my jammies=)  Have a fabulous day!

A Double Thank-you...

This image is SO SPECIAL to me.  I emailed Christy Croll from Tiddly Inks and asked if she would design a Zebra Stamp.  I explained to her that like the Pink Ribbon is to Breast Cancer, the Zebra is to Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome.  It's a rare genetic connective tissue disorder I was diagnosed with a year and a half ago.  Christy got back to me immediately and said she'd  be happy to update a Zebra image she had and email it to me.  I honestly cried as I read her email.  I've hunted and searched for Zebra Stamps and haven't been able to find one that suited "my style".  This lil' guy is PERFECT=)  Christy, I appreciate you updating this image for me!  Thank-You for all the time you put into it, it means the world to me.
So now that I told you about the story behind the image, I'll tell you about my card.  A friend of mine had a snuggie and I mentioned I was on the hunt for a Zebra one with no luck.  Right around Christmas she got me one=)  I'm so blessed to have such sweet friends!  So, I made this card to thank her for my zebra snuggie=)
I printed out Christy Croll's Zebra on Recollections Paper and used Stickles to "color" it in.  I used Nesties, SU Punch, and some random buttons.  The sentiment is SU Much Appreciated.  The Zebra Paper is Vellum over a White Cardstock base.  I'm also entering my card into Tiddly Ink's Just Be Me Challenge...since "I'm a Zebra" =)
If you're still with me after my long post, I hope ya'll enjoy your weekend!

Life is a Pajama Party...

I totally spaced it and forgot to enter my Bella Card for this weeks Bellarific Challenge, ooopsie!
I made this for one of our customers who's having a jammy scrapbooking night for her birthday at our store.  I just happen to be working that night, should be fun=).  She's such a sweet lady (she's the one who brought in homemade goodies on my first day at work).
Anyhow, I colored Jammybella from Stamping Bella with Copics on Neenah Cardstock.  I added Stickles to Bella's slippers and Jammie's.  I went over Bella's Teddy with a Glaze Pen.  The sentiment is a $1 stamp from Michael's.  I used SSSC100 for my layout.  The DSP is from Dream Street Papers.
Have a wonderful weekend.  Our Spouse's Group is going out for Spanish Food tonight=).

Chocolate Snowflakes...

Even tho I was sick for Week #5 of Sparkle's Christmas Card Challenge, I still wanted to do the challenge.  It was embossing.  I used my CB Snowflake Embossing Folder for this one and rubbed Craft ink over the top.  I had already colored an extra Winter Emma from the challenge the week before so this card came together rather quickly.  I love this DSP from Fancy Pants called Hot Chocolate.  I used stickles on the Marvy Snowflake and added a Denami Design Button.
My daughter and I are getting ready to take the boys to go see Tangled.  When I asked Wylie last night if he wanted to go to the movies he said, "NO!" lol.  This will be his first time to the big screen, I'm sure he'll love it=)  Have a great weekend!

Hey Gorjuss...

Sorry I've been MIA, I've been super sick=(  I had a fever of 102 and was in bed for 6 days.  I got up Monday, went to work, came home and went right back to bed, and stayed there all Tuesday and Wednesday.  I'm feeling a bit better today but am not 100%.                           Anyhow, this is the first time I've inked up this Gorjuss Girl- Foxy from Sugar Nellie Stamps.  I won her for a World Card Making Day Challenge on Splitcoast in 2009.  I think the Gorjuss Girls are just that- Gorjuss!  I made her for my MIL's birthday, which was the 11th.  I colored her with Copics on Neenah Cardstock.  The DSP is Upsy Daisy Design.  I used Bazzill's Cardstock Strips, handy little things!  For my layout I used January's SFYTT.  Thank-you for stopping by.                      Keeping the families of the shooting victims that happened here in Tucson on Saturday in my thoughts and prayers.  My heart goes out to them.

Happy Birthday Paul...

I made this for my daughter's friend who's birthday was yesterday.  Kind of nice to always have your birthday be a holiday, eh?
This is my first time participating in a challenge with The Greeting Farm.  I've done a challenge before but couldn't figure out where to upload my card, lol.  I think I finally figured it out=)
Anyhow, their challenge this week is a sketch challenge.  Sheriff Ian is stamped with Momento ink on Neenah Carstock and colored in with Copics.  I put some Crystal Lacquer on his belt buckle and Stickles on his star badge.
Thank-you for stopping by.  Have a Happy New Year!
