For the Birthday Girl...

Happy Birthday Terri!!!  I made this for my sweet friend Terri.  Her birthday is today!  I hope you have a fabulous day my friend!
I used the current SCS Color Challenge CC719 for my color combination.  And the current SCS Sketch Challenge SC729 for my layout.  Neenah for my base layer, My Mind's Eye Quite Contrary and Dilly Dally patterned paper and Basic Gray card stock.  MFT PI Birthday Girl stamped in Memento ink and fussy cut.  I used Smooch Pearlized top coat on the balloon then Diamond Glaze on top of that to add dimension.  SU Baker's Twine for the balloon string.  I layered Spellbinders to make the gray frame them trimmed the edges down.  MFT PI My Balloon for the sentiment.  Pink Sorbet Baker's Twine from The Twinery.

Peace at Christmastime...

With all my cycling training I didn't have the time to make a lot of Christmas cards like I usually do.  I made about a dozen of these.  I saw this card on Pinterest and had to CASE it.
I used Gina K Designs Pure Luxury 120 lb pure white card stock for my base and also for a second layer.  MFT High-Rise Alphabet Lowercase Die-Namics in Cherry Cobbler.  I stamped the tree from SU Patterned Pines twice, fussy cut it out, layered it together and mounted it on pop up squares for more depth.  Then topped the tree with a start gemstone.  I used SU Four the Holidays sentiment with a marker so I could just use the "on earth" part.

Thank you for taking a peek at my blog, have a lovely day!

Rare Remembrance...

It truly warms my heart that our best friends parents have welcomed us into their family and treat us as such.  Mom (Kellye's) and Sid sent this to me, totally made me cry.  In the medical field the zebra represents a rare disease/condition (like I have, Ehlers Danlos Syndrome).  It's a 3D zebra statue in the frame that Mom said is me at the top, overcoming all the obstacles thrown at me and achieving my cycling goals.  I can't thank Mom and Sid enough for such a thoughtful and meaningful gift.  I used it as inspiration to make them a thank-you card.
I used Crumb Cake as my base, layering with Island Indigo, White, and Zebra Print Velum on top of the White.  MFT Dizzy Doily Duo, MFT Big Greeting Stamp Set, the zebra flower is from The Paper Studio, SU square punch for the tag, SU Bakers Twine, Linen Cord, and a button.  I used SC725 for my sketch, flipping it 180 degrees.

Bootyful Day...

Yes, it was a "Bootyful Day"...it was Noah's End of Treatment Party.  What a celebration!  He celebrated the day before by running his first half marathon (with his parents and lots of friends by his side)!  He's just an amazing kid with so much courage...you'd never know he's been battling cancer for the last 3 years.

Noah is a Treasure and Treasured by so many people.  I thought this stamp, Ahoy Matey by My Favorite things was the perfect set to use for his card.  I stamped the pirate in Memento Ink, coloring it with copics, then fussy cutting it out.  I used Crumb Cake as my base, layering with Black and EP Apothecary Eporium.  Spellbinders for my circles, then popping the pirate up on it.  SU square punch for the tag.  I used SC725, flipping it 180 degrees.

Noah's way of celebrating his end of treatment...a half marathon!

We started this tradition with our best friends that on our birthday the other would cook them the meal of their choice.  It's my favorite gift to give and receive each year.  I love the traditions we've created with our besties!

Ain't That America...

For my hubs friend and former co-worker's housewarming party.  Josh built his house with the help of his family and friends.  Definitely a labor of love.  Their open concept floor plan is beautiful.  When I showed my hubs the card I made for Josh and Talia my hubs laughed and told me..."but they have no neighbors, they live out in the middle of nowhere."  And boy did they!  We went off roading to get to their house.

I CASE'd this card from calmag.

Rescue My Ride...

My bike was a hot mess after I had this wax stuff put on the chain.  My friends hubs came to my rescue by taking the chain and gears off my bike and cleaning them to get the wax off.  It was everywhere.  In theory the wax sounded like a good idea but after application I immediately regretted having it done.  I'm so thankful Scott came to my rescue!

Sweet Sunni...

Made this for our best friends who had to say goodbye to their sweet puppy girl, Sunni.  It's always the hardest saying goodbye to our furbabies.

Miss you Sweet Sunni Girl!

World Rare Disease Day...

My sweet dear friend Shirey put together a World Rare Disease Day Ride for me to raise awareness for Ehlers Danlos Syndrome.  Of course the one day of the year where we live we had the worst weather...snow, sleet, rain and were unable to go cycling.  We still got together for breakfast and I spoke a little about Ehlers Danlos Syndrome.  Shirey made the day so special for me, going above and beyond what I ever expected.  Bicycle Ranch Tucson was kind enough to let Shirey host the event at their store.  Thank you Steve!

Anyhow, I made these cards as a raffle prize .

Musical Butterfly...

I've been MIA for a while...trying to balance my cycling training, crafting, and taking on a little side job this year has definitely been difficult.  I was able to get in a little crafting but blogging...sigh...

I CASE'd this card I saw on Pinterest from scrappinandstampingj.  I made one for a friend and one for my Mother-in-law for her birthday.

Greenbow Alabama!...

I made these for my allergy doctor, allergy technician and allergy shot partner last year.  Getting caught up with blogging (computer crashed and training for a 106 mile cycling race took over my life last year, sigh)...

Greenbow Alabama!...

I started out by stamping Denami Design Shamrock Chickie in Memento Ink on Neenah, coloring with Copics.  I used the Stamping up Circle punches and Stampin' Up Scallop Punch.  I stamped the clovers from Denami Design Lucky Irish Stamp Set in Stampin' Up (retired) Gable Green and Garden Green on address labels.  Denami Design Botique Boxes, Stampin' Up Cardstock (retired) Gable Green and Garden Green, Stampin' Up Ribbon, Baker's Twine, and a Button...oh and can't forget the chocolate💚

My inspiration from Wendy E on Denami's FB Page

Look WHOO's Having a Baby...

Oh my goodness...I didn't get much crafting done last year, sigh.  I started training for El Tour de Tucson in May (a 106 mile cycling race held every November) and it literally took over my life.  Not to mention my computer crashed too.  Ugh.  Anyhow...I get allergy shots twice a week and was making cards and such for my allergy technician, doctor, and my shot partner.  My allergy technician liked the stuff I was making and asked if I would make some baby shower invitations for her friends shower she was putting together.  This is what I came up with...

Look WHOO's Having a Baby...

I stamped My Favorite Things I'm Owl Yours in Memento Ink on Neenah paper and colored it with Copics.  I used the My Favorite Things Die-Namics I'm Owl Yours, Stampin' Up Circle Punch in white, the Stampin' Up Scallop punch in Pink Pirouette, then mounted the owl on it.  I masked the sentiment from the MFT Pure Innocence Make Mine a Double set and masked "BABY" from a $1 stamp from Michael's to create my own sentiment.  I colored in the sentiment with Copics.  Neenah, Pink Pirouette, Smokey Slate, cardstock, Stampin' Up Gray Ribbon and Baker's Twine.  MFT Button.

All the cards I made.

I also made her a coordinating thank you card for her order.
