X's and O's...

Valentine's for my 4 grandboys and I made a couple of extras...extras are always good!

I played along in this week's MFTWSC317.  I kept my card clean and simple.  I started off with Melon Mambo and Very Vanilla with Creamy Caramel spritzed over it.  I used MFT Die-namics Hearts a Plenty then stamped it with MFT Sassy n Sweet Zebra Print Stamp and spritzed it with Creamy Caramel as well.  MFT Die-namics Fishtail Flags STAX in black cardstock and MFT Die-namics Lots of Love in Melon Mambo.  Echo Park Love Story by Lori Whitlock.

I'm off to a stamp and scrapbook expo.  I haven't been to one in ages, I'm so excited!!!

Gratitude, Chocolate, Butterfly...

You know how you make cards for challenges and keep them but don't know what to do with them???  I made this for World Card Making Day in 2009 (I didn't have a blog back then, ha!).  It was my first (and only) time I've participated in the event.  I like butterflies and love this card and never wanted to part with it...until now.  I wanted to start sending cards to my friends and family who I see on FB that either need a PMU (Pick Me Up) or who are just simply amazing people who do simply amazing things for others. I'm sending this to a fellow Spouse of the Year, Lori.  I met her when we went to Washington DC in 2014 for the Military Spouse Caucus/Military Spouse of the Year Luncheon.  Lori is such a sweet lady with such a big heart.  Her and husband have season tickets for the OKC Thunder NBA Team and the OKC Blue (NBA D-League).  They have 3 tickets for the OKC Thunder team and try to bless a service member or a spouse of a deployed service member with the extra ticket.  For the OKC Blue team they have 4 tickets and try to bless a military couple with the extra tickets.  Last year Lori did a "Year of Friendships" where she shared pictures of her friends and celebrated the friendship she shared with them...it simply warmed my heart.  Lori is always a positive, upbeat person and I just wanted her to know how much her big heart is appreciated across the miles =)

This was for a 3 part challenge.  We had to use Chocolate in our card, it had to be a thank you card, and we had to use the sketch provided (which I no longer have, sorry!).  My base is Chocolate Chip.  I used the swirl from Priceless in Chocolate Chip on it.  I stamped the butterfly from Stampscapes, on Gina K. Pure Luxury 80 lb cardstock, colored it with Prismacolor Pencils, used Pearl Ex on it then clear embossed it.  The sentiment is from Wonderful Words.  Prima flower and a button.

Hearts in the Right Place...

I made this for my friend who's mom passed away from breast cancer.  My heart just aches for her as I lost my dad from esophageal cancer 10 years ago yesterday.

I used FMS269 from Freshly Made Sketches for my layout.  I stamped my image from My Favorite Things Pure Innocence Have Hope set in Memento ink on Neenah cardstock, coloring her with copics and fussy cut her out.  Echo Park Country Drive paper, Denami Design Ribbon, and a glaze pen on the heart.

Thank you for stopping by!  Have a great week!

Plum Pleasures...

I made this for my mother in law who's birthday is next week.  I'm actually early sending her card this year!

My layout is this weeks sketch challenge from My Favorite thingsMFTWSC314.  I used Perfect Plum for my base.  Stamped the image from MFT PI Warm Wishes on Neenah, coloring with Copics then fussy cut her out.  The sentiment is from the MFT PI Piggy Bank set.  Square punch, linen thread and a button.

Thank you so much for stopping by!  I hope you've had a great week!

Just Add "Flower"...

I made these for everyone in my weekly recipe challenge group to thank them for playing along this year.  We make a new recipe a week, take pictures of what we created and share what we liked/disliked about the recipe etc.  For each person that completed the challenge (to make 53 new recipes over the year) they were added into a drawing for a gift card.  I loved seeing everyone's creations and look forward to seeing what they come up with in 2017 =)

I stamped What's Cooking from Taylored Expressions on Neenah in Memento, coloring with Copics.  My Mind's Eye Miss Caroline paper, Basic Gray and River Rock cardstock.  Denami Design Ribbon.  I used SC625 for my layout.

Bright Merry Trees...

I was a couple of cards short when I was doing my rounds for Christmas gifts/treats for my neighbors this year.  We had a few new people move into the cul-de-sac during my surgery recovery that I hadn't had the chance to formally welcome to the neighborhood so I thought this would be a good opportunity to do so.  I made each of them some fudge and "Christmas Crack".

I kept it very CAS.  I used a sentiment from All Year Cheer I.  Random patterned paper, a circle punch, and some rhinestones.

I hope everyone had a wonderful New Year's.  We had a fantastic time with our besties!
