So, I have some sad news to share...the scrapbooking store that I work at is closing it's doors=(  I'm bummed, I really enjoyed working there and will miss our fabulous customers dearly.  I am however happy for my boss Katie and her husband Hoss.  They will be starting a wonderful new chapter in their life with the arrival of their first child, Levi due Sept. 7th.  I wish them all the best.

I'm working on getting my birthday cards done early for all my friends that are celebrating a birthday this month.  This is for a very sweet gal who loves purple=)  I hope she likes the card when it arrives=)
This is my entry for the Bellarific Friday Challenge, Paper Piercing.  I stamped Annie in Momento Ink on Neenah Cardstock, coloring her with Copics.  I added a Glaze Pen to her shoes.  Elegant Eggplant for my base, BG Indie Bloom, Cricut Storybook Cartridge, Purely Pomegranate around the edges, tulle, and a button.  My layout is this weeks CPS230.

ETA:  So funny...this week's Bellarific Challenge is Paper Piercing and I did Paper Piecing!  Sigh...but I even said on here it was Piercing, I don't know where my brain was last night.  Ah well, I asked Em to remove my card from the challenge, I'm such a ding dong! lol!!!

Podziękowania

My friend Meg and her daughter went to Poland for their Missionary trip.  I had mentioned a few weeks before the trip if she had room in her suitcase would she pick me up a Polish Pottery Spoon Rest.  Mine broke several months ago...I almost cried when it happened, I knew there was no replacing it=(  When I found out Meg was going, I asked.  Nothing was ever mentioned about it again, except the night before her flight she made a fb post about how was she going to get her carry on from 50lbs to 15lbs.  I thought, gosh, there's no way I could ask her or remind her to get that spoon rest for me.  Well, she got back a day or two before my birthday and told me she got my spoon rest!  I was so surprised.  I haven't gotten it yet, but as you can see I am SO excited to receive it, I made a thank-you card for her before I got it, lol=)
For my card I used Card Patterns 127.  I stamped Wonderful Wings (retired) on Crumb Cake Cardstock with Momento Ink, coloring with Copics.  I added Smooch to the body and just a tad on the wings then covered the whole thing in Crystal Lacquer.  BG Out of Print and Marvvy Punch (blue) to make the flowers, Crystal Lacquer and Glamour Dust on the edges and a Black Rhinestone in the middle of the flower.  I made the greenery from the Cricut Storybook Cartridge, then sponged it with Old Olive and Always Artichoke.  Crumb Cake run through the CB and sponged with Crumb Cake.  Lacy Circle Nestie cut out in Pumpkin Pie and sponged with Pumpkin Pie.  Maya Road Orange Ribbon then SU Victoria Trim on top.  BG solid black panel on top of a Crumb Cake base sponged with Crumb Cake.
Thank-you for stopping by!

And the winner is...

Thank-you ladies so much for your comments, I appreciate them.  I won't hold you in suspense any longer.  The winner is...
ARLENE!!!  Who said-
"I started mine at the urging of a fellow Bella Sistah - though it has not been updated in months. Shame on me, in part due to the fact it is summer and being so short I'm enjoying it not crafting (insert somewhat sad face) and two because we now have a MAC computer at home and I really know NOTHING about how to use it. LOL!

Think of you often, hope your summer is going well too."

Maybe this will get your mojo flowing again...and I hear a new release is just around the corner=)

I had a good birthday yesterday.  Daughter took the day off of work so I didn't have to watch the grandboys in the morning.  Hubs took a half day off of work to finish laying sod...yay...we finally have grass in our backyard again!  I worked...then came home to take care of my grandboys while my daughter went to school.  When she got home my youngest grandson greeted her then took off walking (for the first time) across the room to his Poppa.  That was probably the best gift of all!  We were all home, in the same room, and we all got to see it!
My birthday present should be here today...several weeks ago I finished off my collection of Copic Markers.  Then I decided I had to have them all in the Sketch Marker before the price increase.  So, 6 weeks or so ago I started replacing them each paycheck.  Since they were backordered, I should be getting my last two purchases together (75 markers) today=)
Hope you're having a great day!  Thank-you for stopping by!

My 100th Post and 1 Year Blogiversary Birthday Giveaway...

Wow, I've made 100 posts already???  I can't believe it's almost been a year since my hubs started this blog for me, he named it too=)  That's all I wanted last year for my birthday was to have a blog so I can try out for Stamping Bella's Design Team.  I didn't make the DT, but in the last 11 months I have "met" some fabulous ladies in the Blogging World.  I've come across lots of wonderful blogs I wouldn't have known about had it not been for my blogging friends.  I've found new challenge blogs to play in, I've seen so many beautiful creations done by such talented women and drew lots of inspiration from their work.  Tho I don't have a lot of "followers", I'm thankful for all the support that has been given to me for my artwork...which leads me to this lil' story I'd like to share with you.  Back in June I played along in the Bellarific Friday Challenge.  The theme was Summer and I made this card.  Like I said, I don't have a lot of "followers" so I don't typically get a lot of comments and when I do, it really just makes my day.  Anyhow, I had one comment on my card.  When I read it and who left the comment, I almost started crying!  It was made by a Bella Babe!  Really!!!  Not only did a Bella Babe comment on my card...but Cathabella also became a "follower" of my blog!  Talk about making my day!  I was on cloud 9 the rest of the day!  Silly, I know, but it really is the little things in life that mean the most to me!  With that said, I'd like to thank my sweet hubs for starting my blog and making it possible for me to "met" all these fabulous blogging ladies, I'm so blessed to have each and every one of you be a part of my my blogging world.  I appreciate all of your comments, the inspiration you give to me, and your friendship!
Ok, so my birthday and blogiversary is 08/08 and I thought I'd do a little Blogiversary Birthday Giveaway.  All you have to do is comment on this post telling me why you started your blog.  You have until 11:59PM PST on August 8th to do so.  I'll pick a winner on August 9th.  The winner will receive a $15 gift voucher to Stamping Bella.
Good Luck and thank-you for stopping by!
PS...I'll keep this post at the top until the giveaway is over=)

Orange You a Great Friend...

This is for a sweet friend of mine who stopped by yesterday to drop off a birthday present for me=)  It was totally unexpected.  She brought me flowers, a card, and a gift card to Applebee's. Thank-you Dawn!
I used this month's SFYTT for my layout.  Kraftin Kimmie Stamps is their sponsor this month, I just love their stamps!  I used Olivia Orange, stamping her in Momento ink on Neeneah Cardstock then colored with Copics.  Stickles on her dress and Smooch on the Oranges, Glaze pen on her Shoes.  I cut her out and put her on pop dots.  Pumpkin Pie, Wild Wasabi, Daffodil Delight, Adornit, EP Dots and Stripes and Country Drive Paper, EK Punch, SU.  The inside says, "Orange you a great friend!"  Just love that sentiment...it came with the stamp=)

Thank-you Lt. Col Kopf...

Last week when we had our Change of Command I realized I didn't make a card for our Director of Operations who stepped up to take on the role as Commander until our new Commander arrived.  Lt. Col Kopf is such a beautiful person inside and out.  So down to earth, fun to be around and well, I just love that lady!  She has done such a great job running the squadron these last few weeks and I just wanted her to know how much she's appreciated=)
I used this weeks SC344.  Poppy Parade, MME American Made, MFT Die-namics, Silhouette Sentiments, SU On Board Hearts and Stars, Tim Holtz Distress Ink.

For My Lil' Monster...

My youngest grandson will be turning 1 on the 31st.  I thought Monstah Bash was the perfect image to use since I've been calling him "My lil' Monster".  I'm so blessed to have my daughter and grandboys with us...I love being able to watch them grow up and be apart of their daily lives.
This is my entry for the Bellarific Friday Challenge which was to use metal on our card.  I stamped my image on Neenah with Momento Ink, coloring with Copics.  I used a glaze pen on the balloon, Smooch to add some shimmer to each of the Monstah's=)  Echo Park Little Boy paper and SSC128 for my layout.

Monogram's for Melissa...

I made a set of 12 Monogram cards for my friend Melissa.  She's currently fighting Leukemia and getting over Sweets Syndrome (a very painful skin rash from the Leukemia medication).  Melissa will be heading to San Antonio for a Stem Cell Transplant.  She's blessed to have her sister be her donor.  We had a lunch for Melissa yesterday to see her off to Texas and wish her the best of luck over these next few months.
My card is pretty basic, my favorite layout to use for monogram cards. I used Denami Design Auqua Shimmer Paper, BG, Very Vanilla, Justritestampers, SU Punches, Michael's Ribbon.
Thank-you so much for stopping by and don't forget to enter my BIRTHDAY BLOGIVERSARY GIVEAWAY

A Victoria Garden Birthday...

I made this for Card Patterns 126 sketch challenge and for someone who has a birthday coming up=)  I used Anabel Lulu for my first time (though I tested her out at our midnight mania on Friday with my prismacolor pencils-major fail!).  Anyhow...I stamped her with Momento Ink on Neenah, coloring with Copics.  I colored her hair with a Copic Multiliner and added white highlights.  I added smooch to the pink part of her dress and a glitter pen to the flowers and her ribbon.  Smooch then Stickles to the frosting on the cake and a glaze pen to the cake stand.  Sea Breeze and Wheat Versa Magic Ink for shading around the image.  Going Gray, (and I am!) Hello Lucious...

Another sample I made for the store.  This one I did just a few weeks ago for BG Hello Lucious .  Even tho this is such a simple card, I really just love it.
I used BG Hello Lucious Blissful, Bazzill Cardstock, Maya Road Cream & Yellow Ribbon, Thickers Letters, Circle Punch.
I laugh everytime I see this card.  We were a little slow one Wednesday afternoon so I made this card really quick to put up in the store.  When I came in to work on Friday...this line had pretty much sold out so my card was sitting behind the counter for me, lol.
Thank-you for stopping by!

Sweet Threads...

When the new paper collections come out sometimes we get designer sample packs.  My boss said I was welcome to the papers that the designers didn't use, I just had to make a couple samples for the store...only using supplies we sold in the store.  Humph.  Well, that proved to be a little bit of a challenge for me since I'm not a scrapbooker but a stamper and cardmaker working in a scrapbooking store.  I did step up to the challenge and tho these are not my best cards or even my typical style, I still wanted to share them with you.
The first card I used Bazzill Cardstock, BG Sweet Threads Must Have, Dear Lizzy Blackberry Stamp Set, Maya Road Ribbon, Copics, and Chalk Ink.

For the second card I used Bazzill Cardstock,  BG Sweet Threads Lacy Organic, Dear Lizzy Blackberry Stamp Set, Maya Road Ribbon, Circle and Scallop Punches, and Tim Holtz Distress Ink.

For the last card I also used Bazzill Cardstock, BG Sweet Threads The New Plaid, Dear Lizzy Blackberry Stamp Set, Circle and Scallop Punches, Twine, Tim Holtz Distress Ink, and a Button.

So, the funniest thing of all...we didn't get these 3 sheets of paper in when we got the BG Sweet Threads Collection so these 3 cards didn't go up in the store, lol!  I made one other card sample for this collection that did go up in the store, but unfortunately it disappeared so I don't have a picture to share with you=(

I enjoyed making my first 4 samples for the store tho it was challenging for me as a stamper and one who likes to break out those copic markers and color.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget about my BLOGIVERSARY GIVEAWAY.

Have a wonderful week!
