Valley of Green...

When one card order leads to another card order...  I posted on my fb page the thank you card that I made for my friend to thank you for her card order.  Shortly after I got a message asking me if I could make some thank you cards...why of course!
Valley of Green...
These are CAS cards and fairly quick to put together.  I used Crumb Cake, Shaded Spruce, Black and White card stock.  Denami Design Thank You Circle Stamp in Shaded Spruce, stamping Hero Arts bicycle in black in the center.

Have a Happy New Year!

Purple Power...

A custom card order and a thank you for the card order.
Purple Power...
A dear friend of mine asked me to make some thank you cards for the local triathlon club.  I just happened to have a custom stamp with the club's logo from when I was on the board a few years ago.

Purple Power...
Gorgeous Grape was perfect as the clubs color is purple!  I stamped my image in Gorgeous Grape and ran the main image panel through a cuttlebug folder in Gorgeous Grape.  I did two sets of 3, one set in Smoky Slate, the other in Black.
Purple Power...

Purple Power...
I made a coordinating thank you card to thank my friend for the order and to also thank her for her patience/delay it took for me to make them.  We have been working on our home so my card making time has been limited.  I stamped the Thank You Circle in Gorgeous Grape from Denami Stamps and the bicycle from Hero Arts in black.

Thank you for stopping by!

Hello Friend...

Another RAK for a friend on my facebook.  This one is for Heather.  I play bunco with her.  It's been far too long since I've seen her or played bunco since they're almost always on Friday nights now.  I get up at the crack of dawn to cycle with my teammates every Saturday morning.  Anyhow, her favorite color is purple and she loves roses.

I started out stamping Fifth Avenue Floral (this is my favorite stamp set, I too love roses!) in Memento ink, on Neenah, then coloring with Copics and fussy cutting it out.  I ran a piece of white card stock through the cuttlebug with the pin dot folder, then again using the biggest oval die.  Next I lined up my black layer, set the next biggest die inside and taped it, then ran it through the cuttlebug and wha-la, my mats line up perfectly.  My Favorite Things die-namics for the leaves in Old Olive.  Denami Design for the sentiment.  I popped my rose up on pop dots to give it some dimension.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Happy Birthday to my Mom by Love...

For my mom "by love"...Cathye is my best friend, Kellye's mom.  She welcomed me into the family with open arms and started calling me her "daughter by love".  I can't tell you how much my heart swells every time I hear it.  I'm truly blessed to be apart of such a loving family.

I was searching for some inspiration on Splicoaststampers when I came across this card and recreated it.  I stared out with a Very Vanilla base.  I used the SU Canvas background stamp with Memento Rich Cocoa and hints of Vintage Photo Distress Ink.  I flipped my base on the stamp and used a brayer over it to get my ink on the card (that way I don't mess up my base because I always end up dropping that big block of wood, lol).  Next I used Denami Design Triple Line Stamp in Crumb Cake on Crumb Cake Card stock.  With a thin line of black and a scalloped piece of Real Red Card Stock using the SU Scallop Punch.  I used SU Markers to color the Rooster from SU's Rustic Rooster, stamping him on Very Vanilla, black, then a Real Red scallop border.  Sentiment is from SU Very Versailles set.  Hodgepodge hardware, linen thread, and random ribbon.

Mom and me on the Queen Mary awaiting to board our cruise...
Which didn't happen until the next day due to a coronavirus scare.
We were the last Carnival Cruise to set sail.
My first cruise and what a crazy adventure it was!

Thank you for looking!

Happy Birthday Kamryn...

I use to be a Key Spouse when my hubs was in the military (almost retired for 2 years now).  I met a sweet lady, Charla during that time who was also a Key Spouse.  It's been awesome to see her little family grown over the years.  Her little one is turning 6 ( it doesn't seem possible!) and since all the social distancing with COVID 19 going on, she reached out and asked if her friends could send Kamryn a card since she wasn't able to have a party.  I of course said I would make her a card.

Happy Birthday Kamryn...
Kamryn loves cats and teal.  I started out with Denami Design Cat, stamping in memento ink, coloring with copics then using a circle punch and scalloped circle punch.  I used pop dots for dimension.  Crumb Cake, Echo Park So Happy Together paper, Bermuda Bay and My Favorite Things Happy Birthday Circle Frame Die-Damic.  Topped it off with ribbon from Denami Design.  Happy 6th Birthday Kamryn!  Hope you have a wonderful day!

Hope you have a Happy 4th of July!

Smile...

I made these for my friends/teammates who complemented me on the socks I was wearing with my cycling kit the other day.  I love to wear bright, fun, funky socks and always get complimented on them.  The ones I had on were black with red and yellow octopuses on them.  I bought them each a pair of the socks and made them a card to go with it.  Since I didn't have an octopus stamp...my new zebra stamp from My Favorite Things was the next best fill in.

Smile...
I used Black, Poppy Parade, Daffodil Delight and white card stock.  Zippy Zebra and coordinating die-namic from My Favorite things.  I made the plaid with the triple line stamp from Denami Design.  Sentiment from the My Favorite Things Smile Maker set.  Smile die-namic was a freebie with purchase from MFT.  I popped the zebra on popdots for dimension.

Birthday Wishes...

Some people come into your life and touch your heart in such a special way, Katelynn is one of those people.  She is so kind and caring...and such a wonderful teammate.  I enjoy my cycling time with her so much and am blessed to call her my friend.

Birthday Wishes...
This is my last week as a guest design for this month's color challenges, CC754. What fun it has been. Thank you ladies of splitcoaststampers for having me! This weeks color choices were-
Coastal Cabana, Lovely Lipstick, and Gorgeous Grape.  Dessert Option- Birthday

I used Denami Design Hot Pink for my base card since I didn't have Lovely Lipstick. Layered it with Gorgeous Grape. I stamped Fifth Avenue Floral Rose, coloring it with copics and mounting it on MFT Dizzy Doily Duo Die-namics with pop dots. Leaf Filled Flourish Die-namic in Coastal Cabana to give it some texture. I used a strip of white cardstock, ribbon and baker's twine to give it a bit more color.

Happy Birthday Linden...

Birthday card for my sweet friend, teammate, and co-ride leader, Linden.  She brightens my day every time I see her...she's so positive and encouraging, just a ray of sunshine!

Happy Birthday Linden...
I kept my card clean and simple.  I used the Penguin from Denami Designs, colored with copics, and diamond glaze on the balloon.  Black, White and hot pink cardstock.  My favorite things dienamics.

Happy Birthday Linden...
Linden stayed by my side for my first time up to Ski Valley.  She's an excellent hill climber, while I am a much slower hill climber.  It was so nice to have the company as I usually climb by myself.

You Mean the World to Me...

I made these for two amazing women in my life- Carolyn and Amy.  They are such wonderful teammates that helped me achieve so much during the Triple Crown Challenge.  I honestly can't thank them enough for getting me through the three days of mountain climbing.
I used Sahara Sand for my base.  Basic Grey Urban Praire and Very Vanilla card stock.  I used the retired set ALM You Mean the World to Me from My Favorite Things for the sentiment and the world.  I colored the world with copics then fussy cut it out from the other part of the image, using foam dots for dimension.  Denami Design Ribbon, SU Linen Thread.

 Carolyn and Me, Mt. Graham
 Me and Carolyn, Kitt Peak
Me and Amy.  Funny for this picture-
Amy- Tanya, What are you focusing on?
Me- My butt...my butt hurts.
Amy- No, I mean are you focusing on your breathing, heartrate?  Not your butt, whaa, your butt hurts!
We died laughing!
Amy, Me, and Carolyn on top of Mt. Lemmon at the Observatory- my bucket list!!!

Thank you for your firiendship...

Every January my Coach hosts a Holiday/Kick Off the Year Party for our team.  It's always a great time with all our teammates, their families, and it's a wonderful way to start the new training season.  Every year Coach Robin hand makes each of us a gift.  This year she made all of us a beautiful bracelet with an inspirational quote on it.  Here's the card I made her for hosting the party and for the wonderful gift...

I started out stamping SU Lovely as a Tree in Old Olive, then using Spellbinders to cut it out and pop dots to mount it.  White and Black cardstock, SU Because I Care set for the sentiment and Denami Design Ribbon.

The bracelet my Coach made for me.  I just love it!

Thank you for stopping by.  Have a wonderful rest of your weekend.

Pockets...

Happy Birthday Pockets!  I made this card for my sweet friend and teammate Holly who earned the name "Pockets" at my first out of town team event as their Sherpa.  Holly, you definitely keep the team laughing.  I hope you have an amazing day!

I knew I wanted to use The Greeting Farm Beanie Anya because it reminds me of Holly.  My base is Eggplant Envy.  I participated in the CAS515 challenge, to use a stencil in your card or stencil and sentiment. I just got the MFT Star Grid Stencil earlier this week and wanted to give it a try.  It was my first time using stencils and also doing the watercolor technique.  I sprayed water color paper with water, put my stencil on top, then used SU Ink refills mixed with water to brush over the stencil.  For my image I used Neenah, Memento ink, and Copics, fussy cut the image out, then popped her up on foam dots.  Ribbon is from Denami Design  (the best ribbon ever!).  The sentiment is from the $1 bin at Michael's.
My first out of town team trip as their Sherpa to Boulder City.  5 women, 5 bikes, and all our cycling gear in one elevator!

World Rare Disease Day...

My sweet dear friend Shirey put together a World Rare Disease Day Ride for me to raise awareness for Ehlers Danlos Syndrome.  Of course the one day of the year where we live we had the worst weather...snow, sleet, rain and were unable to go cycling.  We still got together for breakfast and I spoke a little about Ehlers Danlos Syndrome.  Shirey made the day so special for me, going above and beyond what I ever expected.  Bicycle Ranch Tucson was kind enough to let Shirey host the event at their store.  Thank you Steve!

Anyhow, I made these cards as a raffle prize .

Greenbow Alabama!...

I made these for my allergy doctor, allergy technician and allergy shot partner last year.  Getting caught up with blogging (computer crashed and training for a 106 mile cycling race took over my life last year, sigh)...

Greenbow Alabama!...

I started out by stamping Denami Design Shamrock Chickie in Memento Ink on Neenah, coloring with Copics.  I used the Stamping up Circle punches and Stampin' Up Scallop Punch.  I stamped the clovers from Denami Design Lucky Irish Stamp Set in Stampin' Up (retired) Gable Green and Garden Green on address labels.  Denami Design Botique Boxes, Stampin' Up Cardstock (retired) Gable Green and Garden Green, Stampin' Up Ribbon, Baker's Twine, and a Button...oh and can't forget the chocolate💚

Ride On...

I made this card to thank my surgeon for suggesting that I take up cycling.  I've had 3 ankle surgeries the last 3 years and am unable to do pretty much all of the gym classes I was taking due to the surgeries and Ehlers Danlos Syndrome.  My surgeon told me on my last visit with him that he felt bad that I'm not able to do the physical activities I loved and wished that I could fall in love with another activity like I have for my gym classes. He then suggested I take up cycling.  It took me about 2 weeks to find the nerve to road cycle where I live, but...I did it!!!  In the 5 weeks that I started cycling, I put 600 miles on my bike...I'm happy to say I have fallen in love with cycling!!!

I used a retired stamp from Stamping Bella.  Stamped on Neenah with Memento Ink, coloring with Copics.  Sentiment made using a retired stamp set from My Favorite Things.  SU Corner Punch, Denami Design Ribbon.  SU Cool Caribbean cardstock.

Thank you for stopping by!

Thank You Chickie...

It's been forever since I made any cards and blogged...let's see if I remember how to do this!
I made this card a while ago, found it on my camera and to be honest, I can't remember who I made it for or why =(  Been a crazy time for me while I wasn't creating.  I hope to get back into the swing of things again.

I stamped Denami Design Patriotic Chickie in Memento Ink on Neenah cardstock, coloring it with Copics.  Cherry Cobbler and Night of Navy Cardstock, SU Square Punch, SU Scalloped Circle Punch, Cuttlebug Folder, a button and twine to finish off the card.

Thank you for stopping by!  Have a great weekend!!!

Blue Moon...

In October our spouse's group went to a painting class.  We opened up the painting session to our husband's unit (and a few of them joined us!).  I made this card to thank the newbee's for attending our spouse's social.
Blue Moon...
I took inspiration for my card from the painting we did.  We were actually suppose to paint a different one but everyone liked this one so much we decided to do this one instead.  I used Going Grey, Basic Gray, and Black for the sky, Night of Navy, Pacific Point, and Tempting Turquoise for the moon.  I sponged in the cliff with a torn piece of paper.  Pacific Point Paper, sentiment from SU Noteworthy, tree from Denami Design.

Blue Moon...
My BFF Kellye =)

Pot Stickers...

I love this stamp!  I got it from a local artist where I live.  I took a couple of his Prismacolor Pencil Classes for coloring faces.  It was a lot different than I had expected, but enjoyed it and had a really great time.  Anyhow, I made these for a couple of the spouses who were new to our spouses group.  I like to make them a card to welcome them to our spouses group for their first meeting.

Pot Stickers...

I stamped my image in versamark on black cardstock then used Denami Design Copper Embossing Powder.  Crumb Cake and Tangerine Tango cardstock.  The sentiment is from MFT PI Soldier Boy (retired).  SU square punch for the tag, button and linen cord.

Pot Stickers...

I hope ya'll had a wonderful weekend!

Clover Drover Crazy...

Just wanted to start off by thanking a friend of mine who's been giving my cards/posts their titles...sure has cut down on how long it takes me to make a blog post and has made me laugh at the same time!  I made this forever ago for a friend of mine that ordered a few cards from me.  Very quick, clean, and simple!

Clover Drover Crazy...

I started off with a Bermuda Bay card base, stamped the image from SU's Apple Blossoms in Crushed Curry, Bermuda Bay, and Basic Gray on Very Vanilla card stock.  Button, Ribbon, and Twine from Denami Design.

Thank you for looking, have a terrific day!

#KindnessChallenge ...1

Happy Sunday!  I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving.  My husband and I had a wonderful day, spent with amazing friends, enjoying some fabulous food!

This came up on my newsfeed from an organization I like (Ben's Bells) and I wanted to share...

#KindnessChallenge
What is #KindnessChallenge?

#KindnessChallenge is a movement started by Leon Logothetis to make the world a better place.  The goal is to get as many people as possible-preferable everyone with internet access!-to perform a random act of kindness and share it on social media.  There are no limitations to what constitutes an act of kindness.  It really can be anything!  For every act of kindness shared, Leon will donate $1 to charity!* The charity will be chosen by you at the end of December.  The more acts of kindness we can create together, the happier we'll all be!  So, who's in???

I am!  Here's my first RAK for the #KindnessChallenge...I may have briefly mentioned that I've had a couple of surgeries this last year (partially why I'm behind on blogging/lost my mojo this last year).  Anyhow, I'm currently in physical therapy with a great group of therapists.  I wanted to show my gratitude for all they've done for me this last month and made them a little something.

#KindnessChallenge ...1

I got the idea for this Apple and Caramel Cream Cheese Dip from Pinterest and of course put my own finishing touches on it  (Here's the recipe for the dip and my inspiration).  I couldn't find the 1/2 cup mason jars, so I just used 1/2 pint mason jars.  After I made the dip and assembled it into the jars, I put the dip and an apple in cello bags from Stampin' Up.  I used some Lime ribbon (retired) from Denami Design and attached a tag I made using SU Crumb Cake, SU Square Punch, Denami Design Turkey stamped with Memento Ink and colored with Copics, Denami Design Sentiment, Denami Design Button and Linen Cord.

#KindnessChallenge ...1

Thank-you for stopping by!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!!!
