My Thoughts are with You...

As every card maker knows, Sympathy Cards are by far the hardest ones to make.
My Thoughts are with You...

I used My Favorite Things A2 Stitched Rectangle Stax die-namics, then stamped my images from Stampin' Ups Plant Hope and Special Moments Stamp Sets.  Then I used MFT Stitched Rectangle Frames die-namics to finish off my card.

Another Furry Friend Crossed the Rainbow Bridge...

I made a Rainbow Bridge card for my best friends dog.  After my friend posted it online thanking me for it, another friend reached out to me asking if I could make one for her friends cat.  She wanted it just like the card I made for my friend but with a cat.  These are always the hardest cards to make.

Another Furry Friend Crossed the Rainbow Bridge...
I used My Favorite Things Cascading Rainbow, Stitched Cloud Edges, and Flat Bottom Cloud Die-Namics.  I ran the Clouds through a Pin Dot Embossing Folder.  I used a blend of MFT and Stampin' Up card stock.  Cat die in black, highlighted in a white gel pen then wiped with a paper towel to give it a softer look.  Sentiment from Stampin' Up Special Moments Stamp Set.

Crossing the Rainbow Bridge...

Our best friends sweet puppy of 16 years crossed the rainbow bridge.  Solo was a character.  He was the only pup in his litter, hence his name, Solo.  He had such a funny personality, knew what he wanted when he wanted it, and loved to cuddle...of course when he wanted to cuddle.  Losing Solo was definitely a heart felt loss, I shed many tears making this card for them.

Wish I Could Heal Your Heart...

I shed many tears making this, sympathy cards are truly the hardest to make.  If  I could take away the grief and pain that someone is feeling, it would be that of which my bestie is feeling for the loss of her mom.  Their relationship was so special, one I wish all daughters could have with their mothers.
Wish I Could Heal Your Heart...
I stamped My Favorite Things Freshly Picket Bouquet in Memento ink on Neenah, then colored it with Copics.  Sentiment is from SU Heal Your Heart.  I layered my panel on Cherry Cobbler.

I sponged Tempting Turquoise, Pear Pizzazz, and Barely Banana then stamped my images from SU Nature Sihlouettes in black ink.  My sentiment Is from the SU Heal Your Heart set.  I used Smoky Slate and Black card stock.

My Heart Aches for You...

For my bestie who lost her brother.  No words can ever heal a heart from losing a loved one.  My heart just aches for my bestie and her family for their loss.

With Deepest Sympathy...

A mother should never experience the pain of losing a child.  My heart aches for their loss, life will never be the same.

I used this weeks MFTWSC529 for my layout.  I wanted the Lavish Lilies to be the focal point of the card and I think this sketch worked perfect for that.  I stamped my image in versamark on Crumb Cake card stock then colored it using my prismacolor colored pencils.  I used spellbinders circles to die cut my image.  I sprayed the card with an art gun and stampin' up marker.  Michael's ribbon and Stamping Bella baubles.

Thank you for stopping by.
Have a wonderful evening.

In Memory of Anchovy...

For my friend who's fish died.  Anchovy's story is the sweetest story ever.  My friend saw that he was the last fish in the store and felt sad for him that he was all alone so she brought him home.  She had nothing for him tho.  She went out and got him an aquarium and all the necessary things he needed to live a happy life with her family.  She would post updates on how he was doing and post pictures with his his new aquarium decorations.  It was the sweetest thing ever.  When she posted that he died, I felt sad for her as I knew that he was a bright light in her day.  I wanted to make her a card to let her know I was thinking of her and how much I enjoyed her posts about Anchovy.

In Memory of Anchovy...
I started off with a die cut A2 Stitch Rectangle Stax Die-namics from My Favorite Things.  I then stamped Sushi Fish Bowl from Stampendous in Memento Ink on Neenah, coloring with my copics.  I used stickles on the fish.  I stamped the sentiment from the My Favorite Things Lots of Hugs stamp set in Versamark, embossing it with White Embossing Powder on Black Cardstock.  I die cut the sentiment with the MFT Fishtail Foundations Die-namics.

My friend had an artist make this beautiful plaque in memory of Anchovy.

Thank you so much for stopping by.
I hope you have a wonderful day!

Prayers for the Lautaire's...

A friend of mine asked me to make a couple of sympathy cards for her to give to a mom and boy who lost their son/brother.  The three of them were crossing the street in a crosswalk and were hit.  The driver didn't stop.  The mom didn't have any injuries, but the driver killed her 9 year old son and left her 11 year old son in a cast and wheelchair.  It was absolutely heartbreaking.  My friend asked that I make something with dinosaurs for Max and a cross for his mom.  Here's what I came up with-
Prayers for the Lautaire's...
Playing along in the featured stamper challenge on splitcoaststampers FS716, I used this card as my inspiration-
https://orangegymnut.blogspot.com/2019/02/camping-in-red-rock-canyon.html

I changed the colors, flipped the image, used a different image, and didn't use the clouds.  I used My Favorite Things Little Loveosaurus, Taken with Teal, Basic Gray and Neenah cardstock.  My Favorite Things Wonky Stitch Die-namics, and pop dots.

This is the card that I came up with for the mom.  I made an extra one for a friend who lost her sister in law.
Prayers for the Lautaire's...
I also used the Featured Stamper FS716 challenge for inspiration.  I changed the shape of the card, square to the standard 4.25x5.5, changed the circle to an oval, the image, colors, sentiment and put a bow instead of a strip of ribbon.  I used Coastal Cabana, Sahara Sand, and Very Vanilla card stock.  Crosses of Hope and Thoughts and Prayers stamp sets from Stampin' Up and the ribbon is from Michael's.
My card inspiration.

In My Heart...

For my friend Julie who lost her son.  I can't even begin to imagine the pain she has suffered these last two years.  There are no words that can ever take away her pain or make her feel better.  My heart aches for her.  I wanted her to know that she is in my heart as the anniversary of his passing approaches.

My Favorite Things is celebrating their 500th Sketch Challenge and I wanted to play along.  I used the Heart Die-namic with Echo Park Country Drive Paper.  Elegant Eggplant and white card stock,  stamped with a sentiment from the Pure Innocence All My Heart set.  I stamped the girl from the PI Have Hope set coloring her with copics and mounting her on pop dots for dimension.  A glaze pen on the heart, shoes, and clip in her hair.

Thank you for stopping by.
Have a great week.

With Sympathy...

I was heartbroken to hear that an old friend of mine lost her sweet husband unexpectedly just before Thanksgiving.  My heart breaks for Penny...  Brian was such a wonderful guy and will be missed by so many!  I found this quote that I wrote on the inside-
"Although it's difficult today to see beyond the sorrow,
May looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow"                 Author Unknown.
I had a completely different vision for my card then I saw this card in the SCS Gallery and liked the look so I thought I'd give the "Black Magic" technique a try.  I stamped the flowery thingie with white craft ink on black cardstock and heat set it.  I used my Prismacolor Pencils to color the image.  I took smooch to the middles of each petal.  I highlighted with a white gel pen.
Thank-you for stopping by.  Please keep Penny and Brian's family in your prayers.
