Safe Space for Snowflakes...

Merry Christmas!!!  Where has this year gone???  I can't believe it's almost over!  I hope everyone is having a wonderful Christmas with their families.  We had such a great time yesterday at our besties house.  Our breakfast dinner was amazing!  We had Banana Bread French Toast Bake, Cracker Barrel Hashbrown Casserole, Scrambled Eggs, Bacon, Sausage, and Mimosa's.  Oh and Italian Eggnog Martini's.  Later we went in the hot tub...while it was freezing cold and raining outside.  The hot tub is under a gazebo which is nice, but...when we went to get our robes to get out they were soaking wet and ice cold, good times!!!  Today I'll be hanging out with my hubs and facetime with the grandboys, can't wait!  Anyhow...these are the Christmas Cards I made this year.

I used SU Contempo Christmas, MFT Beautiful Bows Die-namics, and randome patterned paper.  I got my inspiration for my card from the card below (I saw on Pinterest).

Have a Merry Christmas and a Wonderful New Year!  Thank you for stopping by!

You Better Watch Out...

I wanted to make special cards for both of my besties this year.  When Jeremy and I first met he had asked me if I had any funny or sarcastic stamps for Christmas, that he likes those kinds of cards and sends them to his mom for Christmas.  I still don't have any of "those type" of Christmas Stamps but I found a card on the internet that year and knew I had to make it for him.  It's only taken me 3 years to get around to doing so...

I used SU cardstock, printed the sentiment off the computer and I honestly have no idea where the black border came from..I think it might be from MFT Die-namics Blue Prints, but I'm not sure.

Wishing everyone a wonder Christmas Eve!

Owl Wish You a Merry Christmas...

Happy Christmas Eve!  I'm so looking forward to today!!!  We're going to our best friends (Kellye and Jeremy) house to do Christmas today instead of tomorrow.  We're having breakfast (my absolute favorite meal) for our Christmas Dinner...yum!  Anyhow, my bestie loves Owls...when I saw a Santa Owl on Pinterest I knew I had to make a special Santa Owl Christmas Card for her!!!  I've been very blessed to have met Kellye and have her in my life.  We live about 45 minutes away from each other so we get together every Sunday, have lunch and hang out...she's the sister I wished I had!

I used SU Black, White, and Real Red Cardstock and the SU Owl Punch.  The sentiment is from The Cat's Pajamas.  MFT Die-namics, Cuttlebug folderand Stickles.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas tomorrow!

I made this for my friend in my weekly recipe challenge group on facebook.  Our goal for the group is to try a new recipe a week.  I thought I'd change things up a bit and challenge the group to make things with Pumpkin Spice for the month of November.  For each of those new recipes they posted they were entered in for a drawing for a gift card.  I made this to thank my friend for playing along in the extra challenge...

I saw this card on Pinterest and had to make it.  I used SU Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, and Pumpkin Pie cardstock.  SU Punches, SU Early Espresso Ink and the sentiment is a Michael's $1 stamp.

Puppy Love...

I made this for our chihuahua's groomer/pet salon.  One of our chihuahua's (Kahlua) became very ill in July and we had to make the difficult decision to put her to sleep.  When my hubs brought our other chihuahua (Corona) in for her grooming appointment the owner was brought to tears at the news.  She has always shown so much love towards our chihuahua's and has taken extra special care of Corona since.  What's crazy is after talking with Sharon shortly after we started going to her Pet Salon, we realized that she used to work at the place we took our chihuahua's to when we were stationed in Mountain Home, ID.  Such a small Air Force!  Anyhow, when my hubs went to pick up Corona that day Sharon sent home a card signed by the whole shop and flowers for me.  She is by far the sweetest groomer we have ever come across and every time we come to get Corona either she or someone else in the shop is walking around holding Corona loving on her and they're showing us pictures of the little photo shoot they've taken after they groomed her. It's not much but I made her a card and wanted her to know how much we appreciate the love and kindness she has shown our chihuahua's over the years.

I stamped My Favorite Things Pure Innocence Puppy Girl in Memento Ink on Neenah Cardstock, coloring her with Copics.  Island Indigo cardstock and some random patterned paper I had laying around.  The sentiment is from MFT PI Soldier Boy.  MFT Die-namics Heart STAX, Stampin' Up Square Punch and a Rhintestone.  I used MFTWSC300 for my layout.

Thank you so much for stopping by.  Have a great day!

Ride On...

I made this card to thank my surgeon for suggesting that I take up cycling.  I've had 3 ankle surgeries the last 3 years and am unable to do pretty much all of the gym classes I was taking due to the surgeries and Ehlers Danlos Syndrome.  My surgeon told me on my last visit with him that he felt bad that I'm not able to do the physical activities I loved and wished that I could fall in love with another activity like I have for my gym classes. He then suggested I take up cycling.  It took me about 2 weeks to find the nerve to road cycle where I live, but...I did it!!!  In the 5 weeks that I started cycling, I put 600 miles on my bike...I'm happy to say I have fallen in love with cycling!!!

I used a retired stamp from Stamping Bella.  Stamped on Neenah with Memento Ink, coloring with Copics.  Sentiment made using a retired stamp set from My Favorite Things.  SU Corner Punch, Denami Design Ribbon.  SU Cool Caribbean cardstock.

Thank you for stopping by!
