Hey Chickie...

This cards has been in my mind for quite some time.  When I saw that the product challenge for Denami Design was rhinestone's, I knew I had to finally make this card.
I used a brass template to emboss the squares.  Then I stamped C72 Chickie w/ Flower, B96 Girl Chickie, B108 Heart Chickie, and B104 Hey Chickie in Momento Ink.  I colored the Chickies with my copics then sprinkled them with Citrone Glitter (THE BEST glitter EVER!  Love it!).  I ran a glaze pen over the flower, purse, and beaks.  Then sprinkled Magenta Glitter on the bow, shoes, and heart.  I used my scorpal to emboss a line between the Shocking Pink Grossgrain Ribbon and MS Border Punch.  I made a trip up to Glendale this weekend to the Denami Design Booth...Nami was kind enough to set aside some stamps for me that they sold out of at the Tucson show the week before.  I (of course) added to what she set aside for me and picked up these Hot Pink Rhinestones.  They match the Ribbon and Glitter perfectly.
Thank-you for stopping by.  Enjoy the rest of your week!

Congratulations LaMarr & Shylo...

My friend Shylo and her new husband LaMarr are expecting their first child together.  They recently found out they are having a boy and are naming him Cain.  I made them this card to congratulated them=)
I stamped Epectafellabella with Momento Ink on Neenah cardstock, coloring it in with my Copics.  This was my first time coloring ethnic skin tone after my copics hair & skin techniques class last month.  I think I did an ok job.  What do you think???  I think I still need to practice!  Anyhow, I added a glitter pen to the flowers on her skirt.  I used my new paper from The Little Yellow Bicycle, TWIG.  I just love the color combo they used!  Crumb Cake, Tempting Turquoise, and Old Olive cardstock, Denami Design Button, and Linen Thread.  My layout is from this month's SFYTT.  Thank-you for stopping by, have a great weekend!

Sending Well Wishes...

For my friend Jackie who had surgery earlier this month.  I sent her this card in hopes of brightening her day=)
This is my first time playing in the MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge (this is #9, but I'm just getting around to posting it, eeek!).  I want to say this is also my first time using a Pure Innocence Image as well.  Anyhow, I stamped the image from the Better Get Better Set in Momento Ink on Neenah Cardstock, coloring her in with my Copics.  I used My Mind's Eye Stella & Rose paper, Peach Parfait and Very Vanilla cardstock.  The ribbon is also from My Mind's Eye and the button is from Denami Design.
My daughter and I are going to brave the mall with the boys today.  Have a great day and thank-you for stopping by!

Denami Design in Tucson...

This weekend was the StampExpo in Tucson.  I look forward to it every year.  I've been blessed to help this wonderful company, Denami Design several times now at the Stamp Expo.  Denami Design is a home based company out of Kent, Washington.  Nami is the creator of the stamps and demo's during the show.  While Gary is more on the business side of things.  They travel a few weeks at a time with their two boys (Bryant and Evan) to the Expo's to show and sell their lovely stamps.  The boys are homeschooled and are such a big help to me at the shows.  They also have a daughter, Paulina who runs a blog for the company- Denami Design Blog, they have challenges a couple times a month, so please feel free to jump in and play along!  They are also on Facebook so make sure to "like" them=).  One of my favorite things about helping at the Denami Design Booth is that the ladies always compliment on how beautiful the projects are, how fabulous the display boards look and what a great job was done on them, how it is the best displayed booth at the show, how big of a help Nami and Gary's boys are and how polite they are, how they can spend hours and hours just looking at all the samples that were provided for them and how much they appreciate that they are allowed to take pictures so when they get home they remember what inspired them to buy that particular stamp=)  Plus Nami and Gary are super wonderful and sweet people, it really makes for an enjoyable time!  Once again I came home with tons of stamps (yay!), some glitter, ATG Gun refills (hopefully enough to last me a year!) and lots of buttons and ribbon!  And as always, I ended up owing Gary money for my time helping them, lol=)
Wishing you safe travels Gary and Nami!  I hope you had a wonderful Anniversary yesterday!
Have a fabulous day everyone!

Insanity...

A friend of mine is currently deployed and has been away from her hubby and 2 sons for the last 7 months=(  She is totally into running, P90X, marathons, and Insanity so I thought Barbella would be perfect for her birthday card=)  It will be waiting for her when she arrives at home later this month=)
My card is also for the Bellarific Friday Challenge which was a sketch challenge.  I stamped Barbella with Momento Ink, coloring her with Copics.  I used a glaze pen on the barbells and put a rhinestone on her belly button=)  My paper is from the new BG line, Life of the Party.  The ribbon and buttons are from Denami Design.  Crumb Cake and Riding Hood Red Cardstock.
I'm off to help Nami and Gary set up the Denami Design Booth for the Stamp Expo.  Have a great weekend and thank-you for stopping by!

Pig Farm...

I made this for Denami Design Sketch Challenge #7.  While I was editing my picture for my blog post I realized I forgot to put my other layer under the piggies and the fence.  Ah well, it was one of those days!
I stamped the Barn in Momento Ink, coloring it with my Copics.  I Sponged in some grass with Versamagic Aloe Vera Ink and Clouds with Sea Breeze, adding some sparkle to the clouds with Smooch.  I put a couple of long blades of grass in around the barn with my Prismacolor Pencils.  I stamped the Fence and Pigs with Momento Ink, also coloring them with Copics.  Cutting both out and adding them to my card with Pop Dots.  I added a glaze pen to the Pigs.  The DSP is Doodlebug Design and Pretty in Pink cardstock.
I'm looking forward to tomorrow and this weekend!  I'll be helping Nami and Gary set up the Denami Design Booth for the Expo and helping them all weekend=)
Thank-you for stopping by!

Pickles & Ice Cream...

One of the ladies from our spouse's group is pregnant and expecting in June.  Since this isn't her first baby I wanted to make her a card with a little more humor in it=)
I stamped pregaPEEP with Momento Ink on Neenah Cardstock, coloring her with my Prismacolor Pencils.  I used a glaze pen over the jar of pickles and a glitter pen on the tub of ice cream.  My paper is My Mind's Eye Stella & Rose.  Gray Velvet Ribbon and a Gray Fabric Rose in the middle of the Prima Flower.  Bermuda Bay and Regal Rose Card Stock.  I used CPS 208 for my layout.
Thank-you for stopping by, have a great weekend.  I'll been crafting, cleaning, and doing laundry!

Congratulations!!!

Some friends of ours are expecting!  It is such a blessing for them.  They've been trying to become pregnant for some time.  I had a feeling that they'd become pregnant soon...they just adopted a baby=)  Their babies will be 11 months apart!  Boy are they going to have their hands full!
I made this card for this week's Bellarific Friday Challenge, which was Aquamarine.  I went with the shades of Aquamarine in my paper from My Mind's Eye Stella & Rose Collection, I used the Mabel line.  I stamped Expectafellabella in Momento Ink on Neenah Cardstock coloring it in with Copics.  I sponged around the image with Versamagic Sea Breeze and Wheat Ink.  I used Smooch on the flowers and a glaze pen on the belt buckle.  Cherry Cobbler, Peach Parfait, Bermuda Bay Cardstock.  Nesties, CB Pindot Folder, Maya Roads Ribbon, and Denami Design Buttons.
I have some crafting news...I applied for the Copics Imtermediate Certification Class over the weekend and got my acceptance email on Monday.  I'm pretty excited!
Thank-you for stopping by.  Have a great weekend.
