Thank You Linden...

Words can't express how thankful I am to have such a wonderful friend in my life.  I'll always be ever so grateful to Linden for taking such good care of me during our trip to Colorado to ride our bikes up Mt. Evans.  I ended up in the ER on our way home.  I had a bacteria infection in my kidneys and the doctor said I needed to get a hotel for the night.  Linden took such wonderful care of me, setting her alarm clock for all my meds, getting me food, juice, and tending to all my needs.  I returned the favor by keeping her up all night getting sick.  I felt so bad.  When I woke up in the morning, her and her husband spoke and decided that the best option for me would be to hop on a plane instead of trying to make the 12 hour drive home.  I felt so bad getting on the plane and leaving her to make the drive by herself, especially after I kept her up all night.

Thank You Linden...
I kept this CAS.  I used My Favorite Things Fast Track die-namics in black.  A Marina Mist bike die cut with a wink of stella on it.  Stamped my sentiment using a Michael's $1 bin stamp.

Thank You Linden...
Linden and I somewhere around 13,000 feet on Mt. Evans in Colorado.  We drove up the day before to preview our ride, but the fog rolled in and I was too terrified to drive us any further.

Thank You Linden...

Happy Birthday Linden!!!

For my awesome friend and co-ride leader, Linden.  One of the sweetest, kindest people you'll ever meet.
Happy Birthday Linden!!!
I purchased several floral panels from Sixth Street Sundries.  Emily creates the most beautiful floral panels to color.  I knew this one was perfect for Linden since she loves Peonies.  I used copics to color the image.  Mounting it on a Crisp Cantaloupe layer, then a black card base.

Happy Birthday Linden!!!

Happy Birthday Hubs...

For my sweet hubs for his birthday.
Happy Birthday Hubs...

I started off using my blending brushes to create the background in Bermuda Bay, Tempting Turquois, and YoYo Yellow.  I used the My Favorite Things Beach Scene Builder die-namics for the sand, using copics to color it in.  I stamped my images from MFT Penguins in Paradise, colored them with copics, and cut them out with the coordinating die-namics.  I pop dotted my images, then mounted my panel on a white card base layer.

Happy Birthday Tanner!!!

For our youngest grandson, Tanner.  He absolutely loves getting his handmade card from me every year and even wants to save the envelope.  Makes me feel good knowing how much he loves and cherishes the cards I make for him.
Happy Birthday Tanner!!!
I started out stamping my images from My Favorite Things Dino Adventures on Neenah with Memento ink, coloring with Copics, then die cutting them with coordinating di-namics.  I used Very Vanilla, Tempting Turquoise, and Echo Park designer paper.  My sentiment is from MFT Festive Old Friends stamp set.

Lending Linden...

For my wonderful friend and co-ride leader, Linden to thank her for lending me her spare bike while mine was in the shop getting the crack repaired.  Without her bike I would've been off the bike for 4 weeks, losing all my fitness...which would've been awful for our upcoming trip to Colorado to ride up Mt. Evans.
Lending Linden...
Cycling and Coffee go hand in hand.  When My Favorite Things came out with their Coffee Release I had to have it all.  I loved all the Design Team's card creations, this one from Linda Van Wily being one of my favorites, I knew it would be perfect to create for Linden.  I changed the colors to Blue and Orange, the color of mine and Linden's bikes.  I used MFT Coffee Bean Background in Chocolate Chip, stamping it off once before stamping it on Crumb Cake.  I die cut MFT Coffee Break Companions in Only Orange, Marina Mist, and Chocolate Chip, highlighting with a white gel pen.  I stamped my sentiment from MFT Coffee and Conversation in black to finish off the card.  I layered my panel on Marina Mist, then a white card base.

Thank You Maggie...

For my esthetician to thank her for donating a facial for our bicycle crit.  I know this will be much appreciated with how much time cyclists spend outside.

Thank You Terri...

For my sweet dear friend Terri to thank her for lending me a cycling bag to see if it was something that I'd want to purchase.
Thank You Terri...
Terri's favorite color is pink and her favorite cycling jersey is a pink saguaro jersey.  I just got this cactus stencil from scrapbook.com that I wanted to try out and thought it would be perfect to make a card for Terri.  I used texture paste, then sprinkled a heavy coating of glitter on top and let it dry.  I mounted two strips of white card stock on foam dots then die cut the Thank You from My Favorite Things die-namics and layered it on top of the white strips.  I mounted my panel on a black layer, then a Purely Pomegranate card base.

Thank You Terri...

Happy Birthday Frank!!!

For one of my cycling buddies for his birthday.  Frank is such a great guy...he always makes sure that no one is left behind and that we always have someone to cycle with.  I'm a slow hill climber, so he usually waits for me to catch up and will climb at my pace to keep me company.  It's not easy to climb at someone else's slower pace and I always appreciate when he circles back for me!

Happy Birthday Frank!!!
I had to give the stencil Jeremy and Kellye got for me another try.  This attempt was a bit more successful.  I used the Hero Arts Desert Road Stencil with Tempting Turquoise, Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana, YoYo Yellow, Smoky Slate, Granny Apple Green, Crumb Cake, Pine, Tangerine, and Sand inks.  The bike is from Woodware Craft Collection.  I mounted my image on YoYo Yellow then a black base.  My sentiment is from the My Favorite Things Every Flavor of Happy set.

Happy Birthday Frank!!!
Frank and me.

Happy Birthday Mike!!!

For my son-in-law for his birthday.  It's so sweet that when I ask him what he'd like for his birthday he says, "all I want is one of your awesome birthday cards".  Pretty cool that the men in my life love and appreciate my cards just as much as the women do!!!

Happy Birthday Mike!!!

I started off by making a background for the Llama using Copic Markers.  I stamped My Favorite Things Llama Love in Memento ink on Neenah, Coloring with Copics, then die-cutting it out.  I layered it on Stampin' Up designer paper on a white card base.  Sentiment is also from the MFT Llama Love set.

You Warm My Soul...

For my best friends to thank them for letting me stay the weekend with them.  It put me closer to the start line for the bicycle race I was volunteering for so I didn't have to get up at 3am.  We had such a great weekend together.  They both are amazing cooks and fed me well, mmm!
You Warm My Soul...
I used a Hero Arts Stencil that Jeremy and Kellye got me for Christmas (so awesome that my besties buy me cardmaking supplies for my birthday and Christmas!).  It was my fist time using such a detailed stencil and I definitely need a lot of practice with this one!  I used Sahara Sand, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Shaded Spruce, Bermuda Bay, and Coastal Cabana ink.  The sentiment in from the My Favorite Things Freshly Picked Bouquet set.
Their puppy Luna with the card I made for them.

Happy Dual Citizenship Day!!!

My sweet dear friend Kathryn Bertine's Dual Citizenship Birthday (Saint Kitts and Nevis) just happens to be on the same day that my hubs proposed to me!  I wanted to surprise her with a card in her Dual Country's Flag and bring her a treat to get her through the cycling event we were volunteering for, The Tucson Bicycle Classic.  What a beautiful day to celebrate...Dual Citizenship, 30 years ago my hubs proposed to me, a bicycle race, and I had the pleasure of riding shotgun with Kathryn in the lead car for the Women's Pro 1/2 Road Race.  It was such an incredible day, one for the memory books!

Happy Dual Citizenship Day!!!
I used Poppy Parade, Prickly Pear, Yo Yo Yellow, Black and White card stock and a star punch.

Heartfelt Thanks...

Our groomer sold her business earlier this year.  I made her a thank you card for taking such great care of our chihuahuas over the years.
Heartfelt Thanks...
Our groomers salon was black, hot pink, and white so I of course had to make her card with those colors.  I used the Stampin Up dog punch and brick embossing folder.  My Favorite Things Thank You die and Heart die, highlighting the heart with a white gel pen.

Thank you for taking a peek at my blog!

Packed Full of Birthday Wishes...

My Massage Therapist is absolutely the best.  She keeps my broken body together so I'm able to do what I love the most...ride my bike and make cards :)  She loves dogs so I thought this retired stamp that I bought from Stamping Bella many years ago but never used would be perfect.
Packed Full of Birthday Wishes...

I used the Stamping Bella retired Woofin' it Up stamp.  Stamped it in Memento Ink and colored it with Copics.  My coloring inspiration came from Linda Heavens card.  I ran my panel through the die-cut machine using MFT Wonky Stitch.  Mounted it on Black, Pool Party, then a White card base.

Thank you for having a look at my blog!

Best of Luck in Florida...

Sorry I've been MIA for a while.  Life has been a bit crazy for me this year with my health.  I've done some card making, but not any blogging so here I am to catch up for the year.  I made this going away card for my hubs co-worker who was moving to Florida.

Best of Luck in Florida...

I kept this CAS, using the Sizzix Embossing Folder on White card stock, coloring Florida in in orange.  I added a die-cut Palm Tree and Sun from the My Favorite Things set Sunny Vibes.  The Sentiment is from a MFT retired Pure Innocence Set.  I mounted my paper on Orange, then a Crumb Cake base layer.  Topped it off with some baker's twine and a button.
