Wow, I've made 100 posts already??? I can't believe it's almost been a year since my hubs started this blog for me, he named it too=) That's all I wanted last year for my birthday was to have a blog so I can try out for Stamping Bella's Design Team. I didn't make the DT, but in the last 11 months I have "met" some fabulous ladies in the Blogging World. I've come across lots of wonderful blogs I wouldn't have known about had it not been for my blogging friends. I've found new challenge blogs to play in, I've seen so many beautiful creations done by such talented women and drew lots of inspiration from their work. Tho I don't have a lot of "followers", I'm thankful for all the support that has been given to me for my artwork...which leads me to this lil' story I'd like to share with you. Back in June I played along in the Bellarific Friday Challenge. The theme was Summer and I made this card. Like I said, I don't have a lot of "followers" so I don't typically get a lot of comments and when I do, it really just makes my day. Anyhow, I had one comment on my card. When I read it and who left the comment, I almost started crying! It was made by a Bella Babe! Really!!! Not only did a Bella Babe comment on my card...but Cathabella also became a "follower" of my blog! Talk about making my day! I was on cloud 9 the rest of the day! Silly, I know, but it really is the little things in life that mean the most to me! With that said, I'd like to thank my sweet hubs for starting my blog and making it possible for me to "met" all these fabulous blogging ladies, I'm so blessed to have each and every one of you be a part of my my blogging world. I appreciate all of your comments, the inspiration you give to me, and your friendship!
Ok, so my birthday and blogiversary is 08/08 and I thought I'd do a little Blogiversary Birthday Giveaway. All you have to do is comment on this post telling me why you started your blog. You have until 11:59PM PST on August 8th to do so. I'll pick a winner on August 9th. The winner will receive a $15 gift voucher to Stamping Bella.
Good Luck and thank-you for stopping by!
PS...I'll keep this post at the top until the giveaway is over=)
I started mine for my customers. But then I did find the world of Bella (ex. how I met U!!) and posted way more about & for my Bellas then I ever did about SU! It has been neglected and now that I have a craft room; I think I need to revamp & get bloggin again. Thanks for reminding me how much fun it was!
ReplyDeleteI started mine at the urging of a fellow Bella Sistah - though it has not been updated in months. Shame on me, in part due to the fact it is summer and being so short I'm enjoying it not crafting (insert somewhat sad face) and two because we now have a MAC computer at home and I really know NOTHING about how to use it. LOL!
ReplyDeleteThink of you often, hope your summer is going well too.
Dear Tanya -Happy Blogaversary! I know exactly how you feel. I started my blog when ex Bella Babe Jen del Muro posted a contest. You were required to link your entry to your blog and I was without one. The owner of my LSS showed me what to do..helped me do a post and was the catalyst for me expanding my creative juices. I was lucky when I lived in Michigan, 'cuz there were lots of creative outlets. My son gave me the best Chirstmas gift ever in 2009, it was a pencil coloring class with Paulabella. She influenced me the MOST. I was in awe of her skill, her friendliness, her desire to help you grow. We quickly became friends and spent time every now and then coloring. She lived about 1 1/2 hours away and it was fun to pal around with her. She introduced me to Lindabella (melt, melt, can you say my idol since I use Copics more than pencils) and then Pauline. It was this time last year that we were shopping at the Novi stamp show and Pauline and I threw our hats in the ring for the Babe contest you started your blog for. I was giggling with excitement when I got home and shared my adventures with my hubby. Pauline and I both got lucky and made the team but I've moved away from them and miss seeing them so much. I remember when my card making idol - Amy Sheffer - left a comment congratulating me on making the DT. I about fell out of my chair.
ReplyDeleteI will share with you that I've admired your work each week. I hope you continue to participate in the Bella challenges as you never know what's in store. But, create for the fun of it and enjoy! Cathabella
Found your blog via a link from SFYTT ... I started blogging 4 years ago because I wanted to try out for Design Teams as well ... and I've never looked back ... it's been one of the best experiences of my life ... here's to many more years of blogging fun.
