The Lucky One...

My book club read The Lucky One by Nicholas Sparks for December.  It was pretty good, except how the book ended.  I won't ruin it for anyone who hasn't read it, but it just seemed rushed to me.  Anyhow, I made this for Lauren, our hostess to thank her for opening up her home and hosting the meeting for us.
This week's Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge 112 is In the Spotlight.  We were to highlight an area of the stamp or only use part of the stamp.  I decided to just use part of the stamp.  It worked perfect for this months SFYTT.  Lauren's decor was Chocolate and blueish aqua, that's where my color inspiration came from=)  I started off stamping Lucy in Memento Ink on Neenah, coloring with my copics.  I sponged the edges with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo and Old Paper Distress Inks.  Chocolate Chip, Denami Design Aqua Shimmer and MME Stella & Rose (Mabel) paper, Nesties, MME, SU, and Michael's Ribbons.  The photo seems a bit off but the colors match a lot better in person=(

Thank-you so much for stopping by, have a great day!

  1. So darling, Tanya! I've been a stalker, not a commenter as of late. But I LOVE looking at your blog! Hope you are well. :)

  2. Most of Nicholas Sparks books seem rushed at the end or he introduces some new thing when there are only 50 pages left in the book. I still like his stuff because it is clean.

  3. What a lovely card! I saw it while I was looking at the entries from the KKS challenge (I entered as well). Love the image and colors. Your cards are great so I became a follower. Hugs, Hanneke
