Namaste Moon Angel...

I'm still working through my list of RAK's.  This one is for a sweet lady who does so much for her family.  She loves yoga, black and turquoise.

Namaste Moon Angel...

I kept this CAS.  Stamping my image from the My Favorite Things Pure Innocence Serenity in Memento ink on Neenah, coloring her with Copics.  I layered my panel on Tempting Turquoise and Black.  Did the same with the sentiment.

Dressing Dawn in Prickly Pear...

My daughter posted on her Instagram about the Prickly Pear tea that I sent her.  One of her "friends" asked where she got it and that she needed to find some.  My daughter sent me Dawn's address.  I got her some Prickly Pear tea and made her a card to compliment what I was sending.
Dressing Dawn in Prickly Pear...

I kept my card super simple since I wanted to get the package out in the mail as quickly as I could.  I used Studio Calico's Arizona State stamp.  I stamped the image from My Favorite Things Sweet Succulents in Memento ink, coloring with Copics, die cutting it with coordinating die-namics then mounting it on the card with pop dots.  I used Denami Design ribbon...they had the best ribbon ever!  Sentiment is from the Sweet Succulents set.  I mounted my panel on a white card base.

Happy September!

Hey Hey...

I was accidentally sent two stamps in my recent My Favorite Things order so I contacted the company and asked would they like for me to send it back.  They said no, it was their mistake, to keep it or pass it along.  So, I posted on our fb page asking if anyone would like it and picked someone.  I felt so bad having to pick one person.  I wish I had had an extra for everyone.  Anyhow, I made this quick card to go in the package I sent.

Hey Hey...
I started off using the Inward Elements Stencils from MFT, sponging Tempting Turquoise on Neenah card stock.  I stamped Hey in black and the heart in Real Red.  I topped it off with iridescent bubbles and mounted my panel on a Real Red card stock base.

Have a wonderful day!

Be Happy...

While I was making Joanie's Thank You card, I was on video chat with our daughter and youngest grandson, Tanner (he's 4).  He ask me to show him what the card looked like as I went. Tanner was having a bit of a rough day that day.  His older brothers are back in school full time and he's had a hard time adjusting to them not being at home during the day.  When we first got on the phone he told me he was sad because he didn't have a friend to play with.  Just broke my heart.  When I was almost done with the card he says, "Mommom, I would really like a card like that!".  I said, "you would?".  He says, "yes Mommom, and I'm gonna make you a card and put Happy on it because I want you to be happy".  Talk about making me well up with tears.  Even when he's sad and having a rough day he wants to make sure others are happy.  He's such a good little guy!

Be Happy...

Since he wanted to make me a card and put "Happy" on it...I thought I would put "Be Happy" on his card since he was having a rough day.  I used most of the same products for Joanie's card- MFT Color Blast Die-namics.  I ran it through the Cuttlebug using MFT cardstock in Wild Cherry, Orange Zest, Lemon Drop, Limelight, Cornflower, and Boysenberry.  Next I used MFT Be Happy Die-namics in white on Stampin' Up's Adhesive Paper before die cutting it.  I added Wink of Stella to it then added it to the rainbow.  I used MFT Stitched Cloud Edges.  Then finished off the card with some tiny iridescent bubbles.

Seeing the smile on his face just made me so happy!

My daughter took video, he said, "I have monies to spend" lol.

I stamped all the Happy Sentiments from Happy Day on the envelope.  He told his mom, "I just want to stick this (the card) in there and keep it, ok?"  It was so sweet.

Hope you have a Happy Day!

Caticorn Kind of Friend...

For my long time friend, Jackie.  Jackie is such a kind and caring person.  I don't think I've ever seen her angry or mad with anyone.  She always has a smile on her face and you always leave happier after being in her company.  We've known each other for over 20 years and have been stationed at 3 military bases together.  We haven't seen each other since our last base together in 2003.  I miss our time when we would make cards and scrapbooking the whole day away...you can do that when your husbands work together, you're overseas, don't work, and you're neighbors! (we lived in the same flat house with one floor between us, bonus!).  I wanted to send Jackie a RAK and let her know I was thinking of her.

Caticorn Kind of Friend...
It's been a while since I've played along in a My Favorite Things Challenge so I thought I'd give my hand at it.  This one is a double challenge.  The current Color Challenge #163 and the current Sketch Challenge MFTWSC535.  I started out by stamping my image from the MFT Caticorn set in Memento Ink on Neenah card stock and coloring it with Copics.  I used the coordinating Die-namics to die cut it.  I layered the Caticorn with pop dots on white then on Pink Pirouette card stock that was die cut using the A2 Stitched Rectangle Stax Die-namics.  Next I stamped splotches in Pink Pirouette using the MFT Distressed Patterns Set.  Thin strips of Granny Apple Green, Melon Mambo and White card stock.  Then I added a layer of Basic Gray that was die cut using the Fishtail Foundations Die-namics.  I stamped my sentiment on it from the MFT What Friendship Means set in Versamark Ink and embossing with white embossing powder.  I put my layer on a Basic Gray card base and finished off my card with Stamping Bella Baubles.

 Thank you for stopping by!
Have a wonderful rest of your day!

Keeping You in My Prayers...

I made this card 9 years ago!!!  Yes...I've held onto it for that long.  I originally blogged it on March 19, 2012 and I sent it out on March 19, 2021...crazy how that worked out.  I'm not sure why I held onto it for so long, but when my dear friend Martha announced that she was having her last chemo treatment, I knew it was meant for her.  Martha is one of my oldest friends.  We went to Elementary and Junior High School together and we were pregnant with our daughters together.  Martha handled her breast cancer diagnosis and treatment with such grace and poise.

Keeping You in My Prayers...

I used MFTWSC63. for my sketch.  I started off stamping Pure Innocence Have Hope in Memento Ink on Neenah, coloring with Copics.  I used Prismacolor Pencils and OMS for some shading on her leggings and the ground.  I used a Glaze Pen on her hair clip, heart, and shoes.  Lucky Limeade, Rose Red, Blush Blossoms, and EP This & That Grateful papers.  I used Die-Namics Open Scallop Edge, ran it through my Xron Sticker Maker, then sprinkled it with Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.  Lucky Limeade Ribbon, SU Photo Corner Punch, SU White Baker's Twine, Denami Design Buttons, and Foam Squares.

Thank you for stopping by!
Have a wonderful day!

Kind & Caring Canadian...

My sweet, kind and caring Canadian Friend, Cindy talked about these awesome warming socks all winter long.  They kept her toes and feet warm during her runs in the frigid cold temperatures of Canada.  She was not going to let COVID or the cold keep her from her training.  Even though I'm in Arizona where it's much warmer, I've had the hardest time keeping my toes/feet warm.  Cindy offered to send me a pair of her magical socks.  I was all for sending her some money as I couldn't find them here or online.  Instead of me sending her money, Cindy asked if I would mind creating a card in a cactus theme for her to display on her bookcase in her den that she was redecorating.  She sent me photos of the pot that she got inspiration from for her redecorating and I of course took inspiration for it for my card.

I started off with the My Favorite Things Wonky Stitch Rectangular Stax Die-namics die cut on Neenah cardstock.  I then used the MFT Small Brick Wall Stencil and SU Cherry Cobbler ink.  Next I stamped the images from MFT Sweet Succulents stamp set with Memento ink on Neenah, coloring with Copics and used the coordinating die-namics to die cut them.  I used pop dots to mount the cacti and Copics to ground them.
Kind & Caring Canadian...

I made Cindy a thank you card for the socks she sent me.  Knowing she was doing a cactus themed den, I of course had to make a cactus thank you card.  Being that we met through a Tucson Tri Girl event and our color is purple...I wanted to make her card predominantly purple to remember her TTG friends by.
Kind & Caring Canadian...
I started off by stamping the three cacti and pots on Neenah card stock with Memento ink, coloring with Copics.  I then stamped the front two cacti and pots on Neenah with Memento ink, die cutting them with coordinating die-namics.  I then colored them with Copics.  I used pop dots for the front two.  Then I used and art gun and SU markers to have a splatter effect on the card.  I grounded the pots with copics.  The sentiment is from the MFT PI Soldier Boy set.  I die cut it with the MFT Essential Stitched Sentiment die-namic.  I did a border in black with the MFT A2 Rectangle Frames.

Kind & Caring Canadian...
Her socks arrived to me before I was able to get started on her card!
Super fast delivery!  Mine took 3 weeks to get to her!

Smile...

Back in July I asked my friends on FB to send me their address if they'd like a card from me.  At the time I was way ahead of my card making schedule so I wanted to send out some RAK's.  The holidays quickly creeped up and so did upcoming birthday's and that RAK list was put on hold.  I'm once again caught up on my list (for the moment, haha!) and thought I'd get a RAK out.  This one goes out to a friend of mine who like photography and the colors red and blue.

Smile...
I really like the January Starter Sketch Challenge No. 16 so I thought I'd use it again with this card.  I knew I wanted to use the My Favorite Things Insert It Instaframe Die-namics and have some sort of "Polaroid Picture" look to my card.  I used the Stamping Bella image Saycheeseabella that I was gifted many years ago.  I colored her with Copics and mounted the Instaframe on top of the image.  Next I die cut the MFT Essential Stitched Sentiments with white card stock, then mounted the letters from the MFT Captions Alphabe Die-namics in Real Red.  I mounted the layer on a white card base and topped it off with some baubles from Stamping Bella.

Thank you for stopping by!
Have a fabulous day!

Missing You...

For my dear sweet friend and awesome teammate, Ermalinda.  I miss her so very much.  We always have such a great time together...I wish I could see her and give her a big 'ole (((HUG))).

Missing You...
I was so excited to receive my My Favorite Things Wild About Rainbows Card Kit.  I've been on a rainbow kick lately.  They make me smile and brighten my day, I hope my friends like them...I see a lot of them in my upcoming creations!  Anyhow, I started out using the MFT Color Blast Die-namics.  I ran it through the Cuttlebug using MFT cardstock in Wild Cherry, Orange Zest, Lemon Drop, Limelight, Cornflower, and Boysenberry.  Next I used MFT Cute Cloud Outlines Die-namics in white, putting the solid one on pop dots.  I stamped the unicorn from the new MFT Friendly Unicorn set (I just love this set!), colored it with copics, used clear star gel pen on the horn and mane and used the coordinating die-namics to cut it out.  The sentiment is from the MFT I Miss Your Hugs stamp set.

Missing You...

Happy Mail...

I posted on my FB page in July that I was updating my address book and that if anyone would like a card from me to please send me their address.  I've been working on that list and this is one of those cards.  This is for my Junior High School/High School friend Michael.  We had great fun in school together.  Michael is an all around great guy with a kind heart.  Him and his wife Vikki love the Steelers so I had to make him a Steelers card.
Happy Mail...
I started off with Neenah card stock, using the My Favorite Things Wonky Stitch Die-Namics.  I stamped Quarterback Ian from The Greeting Farm in Memento, then colored it with copics.  I sponged Summer Sun around the image and grounded it with copics.  I added the the drops because somehow I got red ink from the Summer Sun in the top right corner, lol.  It worked so I was happy with the addition.  Black base, Summer Sun ran through the Cuttle Bug and I added a gel pen to the helmet to give it some shine.

Happy Birthday Pam!!!

I made this for my awesome teammate, Pam.  We did a team time trial earlier this year (before COVID hit).  The team met up at her house and caravan to our race.  When I walked in, I saw this photo and fell in love.  I told Pam I love pictures of doors.  She said she does too...so I had to take a picture and use the colors to make her birthday card.
Happy Birthday Pam!!!
I used the Terry Medaris stamp, he's a local artist.  I stamped my image on Neenah with memento ink, coloring with a bazillion copics.  I tried using colored pencils to get some shading and shadowing in but apparently I need lots of practice at it, lol.  I used More Mustard and Soft Suede card stock to frame my image like the picture.

I think Pam said she got the picture at Fry's.  I just love it!

Thank you for stopping by, hope you have a great weekend!

Happy Birthday Mary!!!

For my gym instructor and friend, Mary.  She is an amazing instructor, I just love attending the classes she teaches.  From my very first class I went to of hers, she made me feel welcomed and comfortable AND has never called me out in class because I'm unable to do the moves due to Ehlers Danlos Syndrome.  She has such a high energy level and is always upbeat and positive for every class.  I miss not seeing her since COVID.  Speaking of COVID...she's reached out and messaged to check up on those of us who attend her classes to make sure we are doing ok and see if we need anything.  She has such a big heart and I'm happy to also call her my friend.
Happy Birthday Mary!!!
I used the current weeks SC815.  This layout was a big tricky for me.  I messed up two other images trying to get the cuts right, lol...glad I didn't color them first!  I also wasn't able to use the oval or place the sentiment strip in the right place since my image was so big.  It's close though!  My image is from Krista Smith Stamps.  Hubs printed her for me on Neenah and I colored her with copics.  I used a gel pen on the weights and her lips.  I got some MFT bubbles (finally) and used them.  Sentiment from SU Morning Meadow.

Happy Birthday Joanie!!!

For my sweet friend Joanie for her birthday.  Joanie has such a kind heart and is always encouraging others to reach their goals.  She comes up with #thebesthashtags which always makes me laugh...or just touches my heart.  She's such a special lady!
Happy Birthday Joanie!!!
I thought this image suited Joanie well...a BIG cup of kindness.  I've had this Earl Grey Peep stamp from Stamping Bella for years, but this is the first time I've used it.  I wanted to try some new colors, this one kind of took a different turn.  I was aiming for Tiffany Blue and a soft pink, but...somehow I ended up with a bluegreen color and a darker pink.  I still like the color scheme even though it wasn't my original plan.  I used My Favorite Things Wonky Stitch on the main panel.  Neenah and Strawberry Slush card stock.  Sentiment from SU Express Yourself.

BRAK Thank You #5...

I'm so pleased with myself for making it a goal to send BRAK Thank You's and following through with it.  I've loved all the cards everyone has made for me.  It's so nice to receive handmade cards.  I'm always the one making them and it's a very rare occasion that one pops up in my mailbox.  It was such a sweet surprise!

BRAK Thank You #5...
This card goes out to mcfadden on splitcoaststampers.  I kept with my color theme of crisp cantaloupe, crumb cake and white and using Beautiful Friendship.

I just love the soft colors she used to make my card.  Of course the orange being my favorite!  I also love that printed paper!  So pretty!

Thank you for stopping by!

Bold, Beautiful, and Blingy...

Happy 90th Birthday Erin!!!  Haha, not really!  When you're around Erin, it's always laughs.  We went to Texas Roadhouse for her birthday one year and when they came to sing her Happy Birthday she told them she was 90!!!  The hostess kept saying, you look so good for your age, haha!  Erin is Bold, Beautiful, and Blingy...that's what I titled the card.  She's in her 70's, doing triathlons, racing bikes, running races, swimming...there's not anything she won't try.  She also loves all things green, purple, and blingy!

Bold, Beautiful, and Blingy...
This is my first stamp from Colorado Craft Company.  It's called Sympathy & Friendship Rose.  Erin loves green, purple, and roses.  I knew I had to use my new stamp to make her birthday card.  I loved how blingy Debby's card is using this stamp.  I stepped out of my comfort zone and played a little to give it all the shimmer and bling that Erin loves.  I stamped my image on Neenah with Memento ink, coloring with copics.  I worked on this rose for a couple of days, coming back to it, adding coloring, shading, and just playing with it.  I also used copics and a colorless blender for the background.  I let it dry...then the fun began.  I blinged it out with liquid pearls, a pearl pen, baubles, rhinestones, sequins, copic opaque white pot (using a paper clip to make the dots) then finished it off with a few sprays of glimmer mist.  I may have gone a bit overboard, but it was so fun to make.

Bold, Beautiful, and Blingy...
Me and Erin when we first met in 2017.  We were doing a progressive 6 week climb up Mt. Lemmon.  I had just started cycling and was terrified to descend.  Erin on the other hand just loved to.  She waited for me (and went really slow I must add) so I could follow her down Mt. Lemmon.  I can never thank her enough for this day.  I slowly began to build confidence and now have a passion for descending.

Thank you for stopping by, I hope you have a great rest of your week!

BRAK Thank You #4...

A thank you for the beautiful BRAK I received from CJ Nalley on splitcoaststampers.  I wanted to let her know how much I appreciated her taking the time to create a card for me for my birthday.  Her card was stunning!
BRAK Thank You #4...
Keeping with my theme and color scheme of my birthday Thank you's...but making them all different.  I used Beautiful Friendship, Express Yourself (sentiment), Crisp Cantaloupe and Crumb Cake.

CJ's beautiful card she sent me.  I thought it was a rose, but it's a Peony, lol!  Either way I love it!

Thank you for stopping by!

Thank you you card for Barbaralynn from splitcoaststampers for the awesome flamingo card she sent me for my birthday.  I just love it!!!  I've been in a flamino kick this year.  Bought a couple flamingo stamp sets, pj's, slippers...lol!!!

BRAK Thank You #3...

Keeping with my color scheme and theme...I used Crumb Cake, Crispy Cantaloupe, Beautiful Friendship stamp set, My Favorite Things Big Greeting for the sentiment.  Another CAS thank you.

 BRAK I received from Barbaralynn.

BRAK Thank You #2...

I received another beautiful BRAK in the mail and wanted to send a thank you card to the sender to let her know I appreciate the time she took to create it and also for thinking of me.  This one goes out to mybugandi45 on splitcoaststampers.

BRAK Thank You #2...
I love this color combination, it's one of my favorites.  For my 40th birthday, I made the party favors and all my thank you cards in this color combo.  I also love roses.  Anyhow, I'm staying with the same color scheme and stamp set for my birthday thank you cards but making them a bit different.  I used Crumb Cake as my base.  Stamped the roses in Crisp Cantaloupe, the other stuffs in Crumb Cake.  I used the Sentiment from Morning Meadow, stamping it in black so it would stand out.

BRAK I received from mybuandi45.  I absolutely love it.  Definately going to CASE this!

Thank you for stopping by.  Hope you have a great week!

Wish We Were...

For the last two years we've floated down the river for my birthday with our best friends.  Unfortunately this year that won't be happening, sigh.  I made my bestie a card to let her know I was missing our annual birthday tradition, and her.  It's been 5 months since I've seen her...with this COVID stuff we haven't seen each other since our cruise in March.  Definitely miss our Sunday get togethers!
Wish We Were...I used the digital image from Krista Smith Stamps, Lake Tubing.  I colored the image with copics.  Using opaque white on the glasses and a glaze pen on the lens.  My Favorite Things All the Encouragement and Banner Alpabet Sets.  Mounted the sentiment on pop dots.  Melon Mambo and black card stock.
Me and my bestie, Kellye on one of our river trips.

Thank you so much for stopping by.  Have a great weekend.

BRAK Thank You...

I've always wanted to make a card to send to and thank the amazing ladies who send me a BRAK for my birthday, but for some reason or another I never get around to doing it.  Well, this year I'm doing it!  This goes out to Paula O. on splitcoaststampers   for the lovely BRAK (birthday random act of kindness) card she sent me.  Thank you Paula O.!

BRAK Thank You...
I used Crumb Cake through a cuttlebug folder as my base.  Beautiful Friendship with Groovy Guava and Crumb Cake inks.  Stamped the sentiment from MFT Big Greetings stamp set on Crumb Cake.  I used a corner punch on the end.  Topped it off with some pearl baubles.

BRAK I received from Paula O.

Thank you for taking a peek at my blog!
