Adventure Awaits...

For our Cyclefit Tuesday Rider, Lou who was making his new home a boat.  We had a nice little going away to celebrate his big move.
Adventure Awaits...
I unfortunately made this at the last minute and didn't have time to make a new card when my gel paint applicator fell on the card...I tried my best to blend it in and make it look like I meant for it to look like that, ha!  I love how the background on this turned out (minus the white gel paint splat!).  I started off using the My Favorite Things Watercolor Rectangle Stencil with Tempting Turquoise, Azure Afternoon, Pacific Point, YoYo Yellow, Daffodil Delight, Only Orange, and Pumpkin Pie inks.  I added Frantic Stamper Lighthouse and Boats and My Favorite Things Shady Palms die-namics (birds) in white.  Then added the white gel pen highlights.  My sentiment is from Hero Arts.

Hope you have a great week!

Honoring Warwick...

For our wonderful Warwick...I made this for our Tuesday Cyclefit Riders to sign to celebrate Warwick's last radiation treatment.  We all wore blue and surprised him at the morning ride.  He went through weeks and weeks of radiation with no complaints, always so thankful to be on his bike.  Warwick was our very first rider when Linden and I started co-leading the Tuesday Cyclefit Ride.  He holds a very special place in our hearts.

Honoring Warwick...
I used My Favorite Things Impact Alphabets and Awareness Ribbon die-namics.  Black, White, and Tempting Turquoise card stock.  Foam tape, baubles, and a white gel pen.

We love you Warwick!!!

Winter Wonderland...

This is my final card as a guest designer for the Dirty Dozen Design Team.  Our theme for November was, Into The Woods.  Our challenge was to create cards with woodland animals, gnomes, mushrooms, ferns, cabins, fairies and other forest themes.  Or create cards with faux wood finishes, or use images with wooden or branch parts (like branches for snowmen).  I can't believe my 6 months is over and I'm now a "Dirty Girl" Alumna!  I never thought in my wildest dreams that my artwork was good enough to be considered to be a guest on the Design Team.   What a fun experience this was, I'm so honored that I was selected!
Winter Wonderland...
Funny story about this card...there's a thing in my house called, "Tanya Math".  I told my hubs that I finished all my cards and was showing him all the pictures I took.  I was counting as I was scrolling.  I got to the Gnome card, my 5th one and said, "OH NO!!!"  He asked where the 6th one was...I told him that I thought that was the 6th one and now I need to make another card!  He laughed and said..."Tanya Math", haha!  So here is my last one...
I used-
Paper- White, Pecan Pie, Real Red
Accessories- Embossing Folder, Circle Die, Stampin' Up Forever Forest, My Favorite Things Snow Drifts, Liquid Applique, Glitter, Wink of Stella.

Hope you have a wonderful day!

Happy Birthday...

This is my last month as a guest designer for the Dirty Dozen Design Team.  These last 6 months have flown by!  This is my 4th entry and my favorite one for November's theme, Into The Woods.  Our challenge was to create cards with woodland animals, gnomes, mushrooms, ferns, cabins, fairies and other forest themes.  Or create cards with faux wood finishes, or use images with wooden or branch parts (like branches for snowmen).
Happy Birthday Brooke...
I started off with a white card base, layering an Early Espresso panel that was embossed with a woodgrain embossing folder.  I used My Favorite Things Captions Alphabet in Daffodil Delight, sponged with Pumpkin Pie.  I die cut the Honey Bee Maple Leaf in Daffodil Delight, blending Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Melon Mambo, and Poppy Parade. Next I die cut the coffee cup from the My Favorite Things Coffee Break Companion in White, then a second time in Early Espresso.  I sponged Smoky Slate over the coffee cup.  I blended Early Espresso and Pecan Pie over the coffee.  Then I used the negative from the heart to sponge white in the coffee.

Sunshine and a Little Pink...

For my dear friend Terri.  We trained all this year for several different cycling events leading up to the big one in November, El Tour de Tucson...102 miles!  This would be Terri's first Century ride.  She asked me to do it with her and I of course said yes!  Terri loves the color pink.  When I saw My Favorite Things came out with this stamp set, I had to purchase it to make some cards for her.

Happy 3 Years of Co-Ride Leading Linden!!!

My last entry for the Dirty Dozen Friends and Neighbors Challenge.  We were tasked with making cards depicting something we enjoy doing with friends. Make a card inspired by a friend, neighbor, or someone special in our life.  Make a house-shaped card or a house-warming gift.  This is for my co-ride leader Linden, to thank her for leading rides with me these last 3 years.  Without her, our little group wouldn't be possible.  She always says that coffee is the best part of the ride!
Happy 3 Years of Co-Ride Leading Linden!!!
I used SC1029 for my layout.  I started out by stamping My Favorite Things Coffee Bean Background in Pecan Pie, then mounting it on a Crumb Cake card base.  I die cut a circle in Vanilla, added Versamagic Chalkink in Sea Breeze then ran it through the die cut machine using Coffee Break Companion for the steam.  I die cut the coffee mug and colored it with copics.  Next I die cut the coffee beans, coloring the ends with copics.  Then I layered the circle on a Pecan Pie circle, then layered them on a scalloped circle die cut in Vanilla.  I die cut the scallop border from My Favorite Things in Pecan Pie to finish off the card.
My inspiration sketch.

Happy Birthday Mikaela!!!

My second entry for the Dirty Dozen Friends and Neighbors Challenge.  We were tasked with making cards depicting something we enjoy doing with friends. Make a card inspired by a friend, neighbor, or someone special in our life.  Make a house-shaped card or a house-warming gift.  This card is inspired by my daughter.  She loves Sugar Skulls.  When I came across this stamp, I knew I had to have it so I could make my daughter a card with it.
Happy Birthday Mikaela!!!
I just love all the Oddball stamps from Stamping Bella, they're so quirky and fun!  This Day of the Dead Oddball stamp is also perfect to have on hand for Dia de Los Muertos.  When I sat down to make my daughter's card, I asked her to pick 3 colors.  She picked Dusty Rose and Olive Green.  I had to come up with the 3rd color, ha!  I stamped my image in memento ink, coloring her with copics.  I couldn't quite get a Dusty Rose so I sort of tried again...so she ended up with 2 shades of an attempted Dusty Rose and Olive Green.  I mounted the panel on Moody Mauve.  Sentiment is from My Favorite Things Itty Bitty Birthday and Itty Bitty Strips die-namics.  I used SC1028 for my layout, rotating it upright.

Thank you for having a look at my blog!

Dirty Dozen Summer Job Theme...

This is number 5 for the Dirty Dozen Summer Job Theme.  This one is a Library Assistant.  My daughter loved to go to story time every week over the summer at the library.  She also loved to pick out books to read until we returned the following week to check out new ones.

I kept this one CAS.  I used My Favorite Things ALM Here's the Story, stamping her with Memento ink along with the sentiment.  Then I ran it throuth the die-cut machine using the MFT Notebook Edge die-namics.  I colored her with copics, then mounted her on an orange card base.

Thank you for having a peek at my blog!

Summer Job Theme- Dog Walker...

This is my 6th card I made for the Dirty Dozen Design Team Monthly Challenge.  The theme was Summer Job.  While the kids were out for summer break, I had seen a lot of posters on our mailboxes for Dog Walkers.  They have to start dog walking pretty early during the summer, it gets hot quick here!
Summer Job Theme- Dog Walker...
I kept this one CAS.  I stamped my Walkabella image from Stamping Bella on Neenah card stock with Memento ink, coloring her with copics.  I mounted her on a piece of  Pool Party.  I layered my Pool Party card base with a piece of  Echo Park So Happy Together paper, then added my ribbon and mounted my mail panel.
I hope you like what I've created for my first month as Dirty Dozen Guest Designer!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Dirty Dozen Summer Job- Paper Round

My second card for the monthly theme, summer job.  I actually learned something while making this card.  I wanted to make sure the name of the summer job was correct, so I googled Paper Route.  It came up that the correct term is Paper Round for children who have a route that they deliver newspapers to by bicycle.  Who knew???
Happy Birthday Bruce!!!
I kept this one CAS.  My base card, layer and bike are all watercolor paper.  For my panel, I lined up the A2 die-namics and placed the circle in it, then ran it through the die cut machine.  I taped the decorative newspaper to the back and mounted it with foam tape to my card base.  I added Wink of Stell to the bike and put it on the card using Stampin' Up's adhesive sheets.  That sure is a game changer when using dies that have small pieces!
I ended up making two of these cards.  The one above is made with a die that was given to me as a gift.  I've had it for a long time and don't have the original packaging it came in.  One of the guidelines we have to follow while being a guest designer is no off brand stamps or dies.  So...I ran to the the internet to track down the recently retired Stampin' Up Fun on Wheels Bundle so I could make the card again with products that I knew for 100% were not knock offs.
I  had to take a picture of how beautifully wrapped the stamp set came...so pretty!!!

Thank you for having a look at my blog!

Happy Beerthday Sid!!!

For my besties step dad for his birthday.
Happy Beerthday Sid!!!
I used My Favorite Things Frosty Beer Mug die-namic, coloring it with copics, then applied several layers of paper glaze.  When that dried I applied Liquid Applique to get the frothy foam.  I used foam squares to mount the mug to my card.

Thank you for stopping by!
