Happy 50th Emily!!!

My fourth entry for the Dirty Dozen Friends and Neighbors Challenge.  We were tasked with making cards depicting something we enjoy doing with friends. Make a card inspired by a friend, neighbor, or someone special in our life.  Make a house-shaped card or a house-warming gift.  One thing's for sure...I love cycling with my friends!  Post ride coffee (chai tea for me!) is second best!
Happy 50th Emily!!!
I made this for one of our Tuesday group riders.  Her bike is a beautiful minty green so I went with a color combination to compliment that.  I also used the Dirty Dozen Inspiration Sketch for my card.  I used Mint Melody for the Stampin' Up Fun on Wheel bike and the My Favorite Things Impact Numbers die-namics.  I added a Wink of Stella to the Bike and Numbers to give them a bit of shimmer.  I mounted both of them on white circles and added them to my Echo Park Everyday Eclectic paper.  I die cut My Favorite Things Coffee Break Companion in Polished Pink and a second time in Crumb Cake.  I stamped a heart from the Verve You and I stamp set using White Craft ink, then smudging it to try and make it look like a foamy milk heart.  I sponged the Crumb Cake edges using Pecan Pie.  I stamped My Favorite Things Itty Bitty Birthday then die cut it with My Favorite Things Essential Stitched Sentiment die-namics.  I mounted my panel on Crumb Cake then a Polished Pink card base.

Happy 50th Emily!!!

Happy Birthday Brooke!!!

Celebrating another November birthday for another one of our cycling friends, Brooke!
Happy Birthday Brooke!!!
This is another "toy" that I got that I hadn't used yet and was wanting to try...the Gina K Wreath Builder Template.  I had so much fun creating this card!  Most cyclist love coffee, they go hand in hand.  It's a never ending cycle...ride, coffee, repeat.  So, I had this idea of making a card with a bike and coffee, the never ending circle of love and life.  I used many stamp sets to create this card to find the perfect little stamps to fit within the wreath.  My Favorite Things Coffee Break, Hero Arts, Woodware Craft Collection, and Verve.

Happy Birthday Brooke!!!
Happy Birthday Tod and Brooke!!!

I had a break from stamping for a year or two. Still catching up with my blogging...these were for Thanksgiving (last year, I think).

I used Crumb Cake, Bravo Burgundy, and Very Vanilla.  Stamped MFT PI Turkey Time in Memento Ink on Neenah, coloring her with Copics then fussy cut her out.  MFT Die-namics Dizzy Doily Duo, I can't remember who the partterned paper is from.  Sentiment Happy Fall from Verve Stamps.  SU Square Punch,  Cuttlebug folder, linen thread and a button.

Thank you for taking a peek at my blog!

My Lil' Pumpkin...

So, I purchased my very first digital stamp!  I could never get them to print on Neenah so I wasn't too fond of them.  The ladies over at the SCS TGF Forum gave me (well my hubs) great advice and wha~la...out came Hallo Pumpkin on Neenah Cardstock!  Can you say Happy Dance!!!  My grandson Connor was a Pumpkin for Halloween and I really wanted to make him a card with this image.  Yes, a day late...but he doesn't know that;)
This is my entry for Monday Funday.  I used Card Patterns 139.  Pumpkin Pie, MME, SU DSP, Sentiment from Happy Fall set.

My youngest grandson Connor, He was 14 months on Halloween.  He's such a sweet and gentle lil' guy.

My oldest grandson Wylie.  He's 2 1/2.  He is such a character.  He was so sweet last night, he'd ask if he could have a piece of candy for Connor.  He'd take 1 piece, say, "Thank-you" then go running to Poppa who had Connor in the stroller and toss the candy in Connor's pumpkin.  It was so sweet=)  The boys were so good and had so much fun.
Thank-you so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a great rest of your week!

Halloween Bark...

Thank-you Lowri for featuring your Halloween Bark on Echo Park's Blog.  It was the perfect treat to make for my Physical Therapists for Halloween=)
I like how these little tags for the treat bags turned out.  It's the first time I've made tags like thess.  I stamped Three Houses on Very Vanilla with Memento Ink.  I lined the inside of the house with my C0 copic then went over it with a glitter pen.  I outlined the house with a glaze pen and used stickles for the windows.  Prismacolor Pencils and OMS for the ground and highlights around the house.  Tim Holtz Distress Inks around the edges.  I stamped Friendly Ghost in Very Vanilla, used a glitter and glaze pen, cut him out and popped him up on pot dots.  Sentiment from Verve Stamps, Happy Fall.  I used a knotch punch for the top of the tag and a corner rounder at the bottom.  One inch circle punch and Denami Design Ribbon.

The Halloween Bark was simple to make.  You can take what ever ingredients you want to put in the bark, I chose black licorice and halloween sprinkles.  I cut up the black licorice into small pieces.

I took three boxes of Baker's White Chocolate Squares and microwaved it in a glass bowl for 1 minute.  I stirred the chocolate then microwaved for 30 seconds, stirred then microwaved for 10 more seconds.
I spread the melted chocolate in a wax paper lined 13x9 pan.
I sprinkled the black licorice over the melted chocolate.
Then I sprinkled the Halloween Sprinkles over the melted chocolate.
I put the chocolate in the refrigerator to harden.  Then broke them into pieces.
I had to give it a try before I gave it to my Physical Therapists tomorrow and it's actually pretty good.  But I happen to like white chocolate and black licorice...never thought I'd put the two together, but it is yummy!

Thank-you for stopping by.  Hope ya'll have a Happy Halloween tomorrow!

Ghost White...

I spent yesterday locked in my craft cave and sadly I didn't complete half the projects I wanted to.  I made 15 of these lil' treat toppers I for the ladies in my spouses group.
I started off with a Black base and a Pumpkin Pie layer.  I made the rosette using the Tim Holtz die, SU 1 3/8 punch and a big Denami Design Button.  I stamped Friendly Ghost in Memento Ink on Neenah, "in-lining" with C0 then "outlining" with a Quickie Glue Pen and sprinkling it with Glamour Dust.  I cut Friendly Ghost out and stuck him onto the rosette.  Then I stamped Three Winter Trees on my Pumpkin Pie layer.  I made my tag using a 1 inch strip of cardstock, stamping my sentiment (Happy Fall by Verve Stamps, can't seem to get to their webpage right now to link it up) and a SU Photo Corner Punch.  Three little Ghost Peeps fit perfectly into my cello bags, I did have to cut some of the top off tho.

My oldest grandson Wylie loves to come in my cave and hang out with me while I craft.  Yesterday was absolute torture for him=(  All day long he stared at these lil' Ghost Peeps and said, "I hungry...I hungry...I hungry..." then he'd look and me and point to them and say, "I hungry Mommom".  Poor lil' guy=(
Thank-you for stopping by, I hope you all have a great week!

Prayers...For You...

The "should have beens" and the reality of this past weekend just breaks my heart.  My friend was getting ready to celebrate her first child's 1st birthday over the weekend.  She sent us a reminder email on Tuesday, on Wednesday she had to cancel the party.  She was admitted into the hospital Thursday, her baby girl turned 1 on Friday.  Saturday she started chemo for Acute Leukemia, the day she was to celebrate her sweet baby girl's 1st birthday.  This was all unexpected to my friend, please keep her and her family in your thoughts and prayers.               I'm entering my card into this weeks BLDC15 and MOJO189 challenges.  I used Momento Ink, Copics, Neenah, Cameo Coral, Blushing Bride, Chocolate Chip, and Garden Party Cardstock.  Nesties, Die-namics, Tim Holtz Tattered Florals Die, SU Silver Cord.  The sentiment is from Verve Stamps So Happy Set.
Thank-you for stopping by.

Feel Better Soon...

My friends husband fell ill on Friday.  She took him to the ER, got him all checked, then had to leave so she could sing the National Anthem at Col Kross' Retirement Ceremony.  She did such a wonderful job singing even with not knowing what was going on with her husband back at the ER.  She went back to the ER after the ceremony, later that evening her husbands appendix ruptured.  They have had one heck of a time with his health this last year.  I pray he has a speedy recovery and gets to feeling better soon!
I colored the Butterflies from Unity Stamps Dream Big Set with my Copics.  I stamped the sentiment from Verve Stamps then took a Copic Multiliner to make a box around my image panel.  The DSP is from My Mind's Eye new line, Lime Twist.
Have a great day and please keep my friend and her husband in your prayers!

Hot Air Balloon Lady Bug Lovin' Lady...

Well not really, lol.  I had a request to make a card for my friends (Wendy) Grandma who's birthday is on Valentine's Day.  The card had to have a Hot Air Balloon- check.  A Lady Bug- hmmm, how about some BG Lemonade Paper?  And an Old Lady wearing a Purple Dress and a Red Hat- well, no check on the "old lady" part, but I did have Francesca from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.  As I sat on the computer instant messaging with Wendy, getting each detail one by one I was thinking hmm, what am I going to do for this card?  By the time I got all the "must have's" for the card, I knew exactly what I was going to do.  Wendy was pleased with how it turned out and I hope her grandmother is as well.  Wendy said her grandmother makes cards too and all the cards her grandmother sends her have a hidden lady bug somewhere on the card.  I kind of like how there's "hidden" lady bugs on the hot air ballons=)
Anyhow, I stamped Francesca on Neenah cardstock with Momento ink, coloring her with Copic Markers.  I added a glitter pen to the frosting on the cupcakes and a glaze pen to the candles.  SU Rhinestones and Punch.   Denami Design Ribbon and the Hot Air Ballon is from Verve Stamps.
Thank-you for stopping by.  Have a fabulous week!
