Happy New Home!!!

For the Splitcoaststampers Dirty Dozen Design Team Challenge, Deja Hue...a play on words with Deja Vu: the illusion of remembering scene ad events when experienced for the first time.  Instead of scenes and events, remember colors (hues!)  Ideas were- to be inspired by a SCS Color Combination Challenge.  Make a new card inspired by the colors of an older card in your gallery.  Make a project using a color combination that has meaning in your life- a wedding, schools colors, favorite sports team etc.  Try any coloring tutorial.

Happy New Home!!!
This is for a dear sweet friend of mine who just purchased a new home.  I used this card for my color inspiration.
Supplies I used were-
My Favorite Things Right at Home Stamp Set
Impression Obsession Desert Scene die, MFT My Neighborhoood, Stitch Cloud, Snow Drifts and Open Road Die-namics.
Sahara Sand, Copper Clay and Versa Magic Wheat Chalk Ink.

Hope you're having a wonderful weekend!

Congratulations Tod!!!

My third entry for the Dirty Dozen Friends and Neighbors Challenge.  We were tasked with making cards depicting something we enjoy doing with friends. Make a card inspired by a friend, neighbor, or someone special in our life.  Make a house-shaped card or a house-warming gift.  This is for my friend Tod who just purchased a home.

Congratulations Tod!!!

I used a Granny Apple Green card base, layering a white panel that was embossed with Stampin' Ups brick folder.  I added  my image panel, layered on top of Barely Banana, then ran through the die cut machine using circle dies.  On the image panel I used Marina Mist, Pretty in Pink, Pumpkin Pie, and Barely Banana for the sky.  I used Spellbinders Colorblock Landscape die (for the cactus), Circle dies, My Favorite Things My Neighborhood, Snow Drifts, What Friendship Means, Tree Trio, and Park Bench die-namics (for the street light).  Sentiment from My Favorite Things Right at Home stamp set.

Thank you for having a peek at my blog!

Welcoming the Lamper's to Tucson...

To welcome a great couple to Tucson and to also thank them for opening their home and having us over for dinner.  What fun it is to cycle with the Lamper's!  I get to ride with the Mr. during the week and the Mrs. on the weekend.  I'm so happy to have met both of them and have enjoyed their company on bike rides these last couple of months.  And what a great night we had at their house with our other cycling friends.  It was so nice to meet everyone's spouse that doesn't cycle with us.  Long overdue evening, thank you Steve and Kirsten for bringing us all together.

I had great fun making this card.  My craft cave was destroyed afterwards as I was looking for just the right color combination for the "Arizona Home".  I ended up using Studio Calico for the Arizona State and the cactus.  I just love all their state options and would love to own the whole collection, but for now, Arizona it is.  I made the house using the My Neighborhood die from My Favorite Things.  The sentiment is from Stampin' Up.  Ribbon is my all time favorite from Denami Design.

Have a great evening!

Welcome to Tucson Full Time!!!

I was so excited to hear that my friend and teammate Tracey purchased a home to reside in Tucson full time!  I met Tracey earlier this year on one of our GABA Rides.  I was a brand new ride leader and so nervous to lead her and her friend by myself after my co-ride leader had a flat.  Anyhow, Tracey is a ray of sunshine...always so bright and cheerful, happy and bubbly.  I always walk away from her feeling so good about myself.  She decided to purchase a home here in Tucson and also join our racing team, Tolero.  I couldn't be happier to have such an amazing person in my life and on my team.
Welcome to Tucson Fulltime!!!
I wanted to greet Tracey with some cacti...kept this very simple.  House is a $1 stamp from the Michael's bin.  Cactus from an older MFT set.  Sahara sand, Mint Macaroon, and white cardstock.

Welcome to Tucson Fulltime!!!

Ain't That America...

For my hubs friend and former co-worker's housewarming party.  Josh built his house with the help of his family and friends.  Definitely a labor of love.  Their open concept floor plan is beautiful.  When I showed my hubs the card I made for Josh and Talia my hubs laughed and told me..."but they have no neighbors, they live out in the middle of nowhere."  And boy did they!  We went off roading to get to their house.

I CASE'd this card from calmag.

Thank-you for stopping by!
