Winter Wonderland...

This is my final card as a guest designer for the Dirty Dozen Design Team.  Our theme for November was, Into The Woods.  Our challenge was to create cards with woodland animals, gnomes, mushrooms, ferns, cabins, fairies and other forest themes.  Or create cards with faux wood finishes, or use images with wooden or branch parts (like branches for snowmen).  I can't believe my 6 months is over and I'm now a "Dirty Girl" Alumna!  I never thought in my wildest dreams that my artwork was good enough to be considered to be a guest on the Design Team.   What a fun experience this was, I'm so honored that I was selected!
Winter Wonderland...
Funny story about this card...there's a thing in my house called, "Tanya Math".  I told my hubs that I finished all my cards and was showing him all the pictures I took.  I was counting as I was scrolling.  I got to the Gnome card, my 5th one and said, "OH NO!!!"  He asked where the 6th one was...I told him that I thought that was the 6th one and now I need to make another card!  He laughed and said..."Tanya Math", haha!  So here is my last one...
I used-
Paper- White, Pecan Pie, Real Red
Accessories- Embossing Folder, Circle Die, Stampin' Up Forever Forest, My Favorite Things Snow Drifts, Liquid Applique, Glitter, Wink of Stella.

Hope you have a wonderful day!

Merry Christmas...

Merry Christmas!!!  I hope everyone is having a wonderful Christmas morning.  This is my last month as a guest designer for the Dirty Dozen Design Team.  These last 6 months sure have flown by!  This is my 3rd entry for November's theme, Into The Woods.  Our challenge was to create cards with woodland animals, gnomes, mushrooms, ferns, cabins, fairies and other forest themes.  Create cards with faux wood finishes, or use images with wooden or branch parts (like branches for snowmen).
Merry Christmas...
I started with an Embossing Folder, mounting it to a white card base.  Next I used Hero Arts Wood Frames in Soft Suede and mounted it to my white card base.  I mounted My Favorite Things Stacked Merry in Real Red.  I stamped my "reindeer" from My Favorite Things So Very Fawned of You in Memento, coloring it with copics, then mounting it on my card.  Next I die cut greenery from MFT Winter Poinsettias in white then added a red pearl in the middle.  I finished the card with a sentiment from the MFT stamp set Christmas Wishes.

I hope you have a wonderful rest of your Christmas!

Winter Poinsettia...

I fell in love with Rachel Alvarado's beautiful Winter Poinsettia Card from My Favorite Things.  Her card is the whole reason I bought the stamp set, coordinating dies, and the Christmas sentiments to go with it.  When I saw her card I just knew I had to make that card for my Christmas card this year.  What I didn't know or realize was how detailed and time consuming each card would be.  I made 67 of these.  I kept kicking myself thinking why did I pick this as my card for the year?!?!  But the answer was simple...it was just gorgeous.
Winter Poinsettia...
I made one card just like hers (my daughter got that one) and left off the white stamped leaf on all the rest.  That's 66 less stamps I'd have to make, ha!  I used Real Red, Cherry Cobbler, White, and Crumb Cake.  I used glue dots and jewelry micro beads for the centers.  And tiny Iridescent bubbles to top off the card.
Winter Poinsettia...
My assembly line.
Winter Poinsettia...
Total of 67 made.

Merry Christmas 2021...

My Christmas Cards for 2021.  I made 43 this year.
Merry Christmas 2021...

I went back and forth on making Christmas cards this year.  I haven't had a whole lot of time to spend on creating cards this year with all the home improvements we've been working on.  This was a last minute quick card I put together.  I used the My Favorite Things Merry Christmas Tree stamped in black, I went over the star with a glitter pen.  I mounted that layer on Smoky Slate.  I ran a piece of white card stock through the cuttlebug using the snow fades folder and adding a piece of silver glitter ribbon then mounting it on a black card stock base.

Thank you for having a look at my blog.

Warm and Fuzzy Wishes...

Merry Christmas!!!  I began working on my Christmas Cards the day after Thanksgiving.  I had a vision for what I wanted in my mind but it didn't translate to paper very well.  I tried a couple more options, still not happy with what I was getting and realizing that gluing the Merry from the die-namics on all my cards was going to be a pain and very time consuming...I ended up with this on my 4th attempt.  The assembly line was a LONG one, but I was thrilled to have ALL 40 of my cards DONE on December 3rd!  A first for me getting them done so early!

Warm and Fuzzy Wishes...
I started out using the Stitched Rectangle Stax and the Stacked Merry die-namics from My Favorite Things on white card stock, running it through the cuttlebug.  Then I used my new Stamparatus from Stampin' up to stamp the sentiment from the Peace, Love and Paws set.  I have to say I absolutely love the Stamparatus, I wish I would've invested in one sooner!  Next I stamped the little puppy from the My Favorite Things Peace, Love, and Paws set, then using the coordinating die-namic so I didn't have to fussy cut.  I put a strip of Real Red card stock behind the Merry with Wink of Stella on it so it would sparkle.  I grounded my puppy image, topped the Merry with a holly, and mounted my panel on a Crumb Cake card base.
Warm and Fuzzy Wishes...

One of my four takes is front and center with a snowflake.  When I showed hubs, he didn't like the snowflake and suggested I do the holly.  I'm happy with his suggestion and it definitely gives a little pop to the card instead of blending in.

Thank you for stopping by.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year!

Kellye's Christmas Pick...

My bestie went through my card gallery and asked if I could make her this card for her to send to a friend of hers for Christmas.  10 years later and I still had the stamp, corner punch and cuttlebug folder to create it!
Kellye's Christmas Pick...
Real Red card base, CB folder, Partridge in a Pear Tree stamp from Craft Warehouse, corner punch from Michael's and Rhinestones.  Colored my image on neenah with copics.

My card I made in 2010.

Merry Christmas...

Christmas Season quickly came upon me...and I had no cards made.  I found this card on pinterest and thought it was so beautiful.  I quickly got to work and was able to create a few cards to send to my family and closest friends.  I hope to get back up to the 100 cards I use to create every year!

I used Stampin' Ups Snow Front Stamp set.  Crumb cake, Smoky Slate, Garden Green, Real Red, and White inks.  Crumb Cake, Real Red and White card stock.  Sentiment from Stampin' Ups Contempo Christmas set.

Merry & Bright...

Happy New Year's Eve everyone...I can't believe this year is coming to an end!  Where on earth has the time gone?  We don't have any special plans, as I prefer to stay home on New Year's Eve...not to mention I woke up not feeling well this morning=(
Anyhow, my dear friend and fellow spouse, Barb asked if I'd make another Christmas Card for her.  I said yes, of course!  Again she had no special requests, just a Christmas Card...do what you want=)  This is what I came up with...

I started out stamping PI Sparkling Season in Memento on Neenah, coloring with Copics.  I paper pieced the ornament.  Pool Party, Lucky Limeade, Rose Red, and Carta Bella Merry & Bright paper.  SU Square Punch, Mavy Snowflake Punch, Buttons & Twine.  I used MFTWSC102.

I completed 40 of the 52 MFT Sketches for this year.  My personal goal was to do them all.  Tho I didn't accomplish that, I have to say I am happy with what I did do.

Thank-you so much for stopping by.
Have a safe and fabulous New Year!

A Deployed Christmas...

Merry Christmas everyone!  I hope ya'll have had a wonderful day spent with family and friends!  My thoughts are with all the deployed service members and families of the deployed who can't spend today together.  Sending thoughts and (((HUGS))) ya'lls way!
Sadly the only Christmas Cards I made and sent out this year were to my deployed spouses.  The last few months have been so crazy for me.  My daughter started working a new job with different hours, which means I have the grand boys all day.  Needless to say trying to craft during that time has been very challenging, I get in what I can tho=)  Anyhow, as I said these are for my deployes spouse's.  As a key spouse one of my duties is to check up on them and make sure they're doing ok and see if they need anything during their spouse's deployement.  One of the ways I like to do this is by sending them a card...lets them know I'm here for them and am thinking of them too=)

I started off with Neenah, Momento, and Copics.  I fussy cut ALM Sparkling Season out, then paper pieced her ornament and added a glaze pen to her boots.  Cherry Cobbler, Black, EP This & That Christmas paper, Marvy Snowflake Punch, SU Linen Thread, and a Button.  My entry for RCC75, Holiday Spirit.  I used MFTWSC99.

Last month I went to a dinner the base holds for all the deployed spouse's, it was my first one attending.  I talked to several families to see how they were doing and handling the deployment.  One spouse told me her husbands squadron bought the deployed spouse's tickets to their Christmas Party.  I thought, hmmm...what a fabulous idea!!!  So, I talked with my husband and asked him what he thought of me inviting our deployed spouses and purchasing their tickets (we only have a handful that are deployed, not several like other squadron's on the base so it wouldn't be finacially draining).  Anyhow, a couple of the deployed spouses said they'd love to attend, it so made my night!  I'm so glad they got out for the evening.  Below are a couple of pictures from our Christmas party...

Contempo Snowflakes...

I completed an order for 60 retirement cards a couple weeks before my friend and fellow spouse, Barb placed an order with me.  She made me giggle when she "placed" the order...she asked if she could order just one card from me and asked if that was "allowed", lol.  I said of course!  Barb gave me plenty of time to make the card for her and had no specific requests at all...that was a first for me.  This is what I came up with...

I started out using the blue Marvy Snowflake Punch then sponged Crumb Cake and Scattered Straw Distress Ink around the snowflakes and the sides to give the Very Vanilla Cardstock an aged look.  I stamped Merry Christmas from SU's Contemp Christmas Set in Pool Party.  I layered it on EP Season's Greetings then onto my Crumb Cake card base.  I used a wide Robin Egg colored Ribbon from Michael's layering it with Crumb Cake Seam Binding, Denami Design Buttons, and Linen Thread.  My entry for RCC75 which is Holiday Spirit.

Thank-you so much for stopping by!
Have a fabulous weekend!!!

A Christmas Thank-you...

I made a few of these Thank-you cards to send to a couple people who put on my hubs Squadron's Children's Christmas Paty a couple of weeks ago.  Jessica, our spouse's group President always does a good job at planning everything and putting it all together.  Her husband was our Santa this year.  I wanted to let them know how much their time was appreciated=)  I also sent one to Santa's Elf.  He (Sgt. Manso) was such a good sport by dressing up in the little Elf costume, complete with tights and all=)  It was a fun evening for all, I think the kids had just as much fun as the adults did=)
This is for SCCC5, Christmas Thank-you's. I started off stamping the snowflakes from SU on Neenah with Memento Ink, then filled in with smaller snowflakes with Versamagic Sea Breeze.  Denami Design Iridescent Auquamarine and Black cardstock.  Tiffany Blue Ribbon from Michael's and sentiment from Silhouette Sentiments.

Below are some pictures from my hubs Squadron's Christmas Party...

Me and my daughter Mikaela.

Me and my sweetheart of a friend, Lindsey.

The Christmas Cookie Club...

So, I joined a book club last month=)  I'm happy to get back into reading.  Our pick was The Christmas Cookie Club by Ann Pearlman.  We decided to do a cookie exchange along with the book club meeting.  I won't go into detail about the book, but after reading it, I knew I couldn't show up to the book club meeting with my cookies in a ziplock bag, lol.

So, I put together 10 of these little tags really quick.  My tags are 2 3/4 x 4 inches.  I corner rounded the bottom and used a knotch type punch for the top.  I stamped Harriet Lulu in Memento on GP, layered on Black.  Stamped the sentiment from Four the Holidays in Memento on the bottom of the tag.  Marvy Snowflake Punch, Black Stickles, Circle Punch, Denami Design Ribbon and Button.

My cookies all packaged up=)  I made Cranberry Hootycreeks.

Thank-you for stopping by.  I hope you're having a great day!

Contempo Candy Canes...

Sorry I've been MIA.  I've been sick the last week and a half and haven't felt up to being crafty.
Anyhow, back in October I had made these treats for the ladies in my spouse's group for Halloween.  One of the spouse's (Sandy) asked me to come up with something creative for her to give to her coworkers using a Candy Cane.  I made 25 of these for Sandy.
I started off stamping the tree from Contempo Christmas in Lucky Limeade.  I paper pieced the pot and ran my images through the Cuttlebug.  The Cherry Cobbler layers are also ran through the Cuttlebug using the Big Scallop Ovals Nesstie.  White layer uses the CB Swiss Dot Folder on top of a Lucky Limeade layer that is on top of a white card base.  In order to hold the candy cane in place, I made two slots on the fold for the candy cane to slide through.  The sentiment is from Four the Holidays.  SU Photo Corner and Snowflake Punch, Rhinestone, and Lucky Limeade Ribbon.

Thank-you for stopping by!  Have a great day!

Candy Cane King...

Oh what fun did I have last night seeing Breaking Dawn with my daughter and girlfriends! (the 3:30 bedtime was a bit rough, lol).  Now I can't wait for the second part of the movie to come out to find out what happens...I think I may have to read the books after the Holidays=)  The girls loved their Edward cards and got a lil' giggle from them too=)
Anyhow, let's talk about my card...this will be my youngest grandson Connor's Christmas Card=)  This is a Christy Croll image, King of the Candy Canes from Stamping Bella.  This card does triple duty for challenges...my entry for the Bellarific Friday Challenge (a sketch challenge), Tiddly Inks Challenge #73- Anything Goes and Echo Park's FB Holiday Project Contest.

I stamped King of the Candy Canes in Memento Ink on Neenah, coloring with Copics.  I oversaturated the paper and had some bleeding out issues at his feet.  Rather than take the time to try to clean up my mess and risk ruining my image, I just fussy cut him out=)  I used stickles on his crown and stocking.  Went over his crown and candy cane with a glaze pen and the star with a glitter pen.  Island Indigo, Peach Parfait, Echo Park Holly Jolly Christmas Paper, CB Snowflake Folder, Twine, Denami Design Buttons, SU Linen Thread.

Thank-you so much for stopping by!  Have a great weekend!

Santa's Clothes...

Last year I participated for most of the year in Sparkle's Christmas Card Challenge, however this year I have slacked terribly.  I'm not sure I will be able send out homemade cards at this point=(

Anyhow this is my entry for SCCC48 which is to use Liquid Applique.  It's also my entry for this weeks Bellarific Friday Challenge, to use Snow on your card.  I loved Clean & Simple Stamping Sketch 164 so much I used it again for my card.

I stamped Santa's Clothes a Dryin' in Memento Ink on Neenah, coloring with my copics.  I outlined the image with a glitter pen.  I used Liquid Applique on the Snowflake, Santa Hat and Pants and made some Snow on the ground.  I sprinkled the Liquid Applique with Glamour Dust then heated it to make it puff up.  Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake cardstock, A Muse Sentiment, Button and Linen Thread.

I hope you all have a great weekend!  Thanks for stopping by.

Chocolate Snowflakes...

Even tho I was sick for Week #5 of Sparkle's Christmas Card Challenge, I still wanted to do the challenge.  It was embossing.  I used my CB Snowflake Embossing Folder for this one and rubbed Craft ink over the top.  I had already colored an extra Winter Emma from the challenge the week before so this card came together rather quickly.  I love this DSP from Fancy Pants called Hot Chocolate.  I used stickles on the Marvy Snowflake and added a Denami Design Button.
My daughter and I are getting ready to take the boys to go see Tangled.  When I asked Wylie last night if he wanted to go to the movies he said, "NO!" lol.  This will be his first time to the big screen, I'm sure he'll love it=)  Have a great weekend!

Case'ing Christmas Cards...

For week 4, we're Case'ing any DT Members Card over at Sparkle's Christmas Card Challenges.  I Case'd Sparkle's Week #7 Card.  I used a CC Designs image, but changed the papers, and didn't do the stitching since this gal has yet to learn how to sew=(  I used my Fancy Pants Hot Chocolate Papers since they were still on my desk from my last post.  I just love those colors together!  I colored in Winter Emma with Copics on Neenah Cardstock.  I used a lil' Smooch on the ruffle on her shirt and some stickles on the snowflake.
I hope everyone is enjoying the holidays.  I'll be catching up on some card making...I just picked up some super cute papers from work last night- I can't wait to play with them!
Thank-you for stopping by!

Rootbeer Truffle...

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas.  We had a nice Christmas morning watching our grandson Wylie open his presents.  I had the best gift of all, which was having my daughter and grandsons here with us.  We had a nice Christmas Dinner and have been spending the day hanging out together.                     We're now on week 3 of Sparkle's Christmas Card Challenge.  Our challenge was to incorporate Holiday Travel into our card.  One of the guys that use to go to our VW Car Meet had a Golf that was the color of Rootbeer.  I loved it.  I picked up some Fancy Pants Hot Chocolate Paper at work the other day and thought it would go perfect for this challenge.  I colored in the A Muse Holiday Car with Copics on Very Vanilla Cardstock.  I embellished it with Smooch, Stickles, and a Glaze Pen. I used  SC312 and flipped it.                                   Thank-you for stopping by, enjoy the rest of your Christmas with your family!

Peace, Dreams & Wishes...

Another Christmas Card for 2011!!!  This is for week 2 of Sparkle's Christmas Card Challenge.  This week we were to use an Angel on our card.  I've had this Elzybell for a couple of years now and this is the first time she's seen ink!  I stamped her with Momento Ink on Neenah Cardstock and colored her in with my Copics.  I used Smooch on the wings, halo and cloud and added some Glamour Dust to the cloud as well.  I put Stickles on the stars and gave her some sparkly red shoes=)  I used Martha Stewart and SU Punches and Denami Design Buttons.  The DSP is Provo Craft Holiday Slab.  My layout is this weeks Card Patterns Sketch 94
Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Winter Whiteabella...

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving yesterday.  We had a nice Thanksgiving dinner and have lots of leftovers!  The things I'm thankful for this year are-  My newest grandson Connor.  My daughter and grandboys moving in with us.  Waking up to Wylie's big smile.  I'm especially thankful for my hubs who made their move possible and who gave me the craft cave of my dreams=)  My in laws who've helped us out so much this year.  Marc who made the kids transition so much easier.  I'm blessed to have a wonderful family and such great friends in my life!
This is my entry for the Bellarific Friday Challenge over at Stamping Bella which was to do an all white card.  This is a first for me, I'm use to some color!  I kinda like it tho=)  I stamped Wreathabella in Momento ink and colored her in with my Copics.  I added Smooch to the white bits she's wearing and some Stickles to her hat, boots, ribbon and holly berries.  I used the Snowflake and Pindots CB Folders for the layers.  I glittered up a snowflake from a Marvy Punch with Glamour Dust.  I'm kinda bummed that the snowflake photographed cream instead of crisp white=(  I used SC308 for my layout.
Thank-you for stopping by.  Is anyone braving Black Friday?
