Lulu Thanks You...

For one of my friends who placed a card order with me.  She recently became a Pampered Chef Consultant and asked if I'd make her a card for one of her hostesses.  She asked for a card that was green and brown with an apron type theme.  I sent her the link to Stamping Bella's Lulu's Two Pies and another stamp set and asked which she preferred, she said this one...that it looked like a "Tanya Card"=)  Yes, I {heart} my SB stamps!

Anyhow, I did my norm, Neenah, Memento, and Copics.  I added a Glaze Pen to the pie tins and her shoes.  Stickles to her apron.  I went over her hair and the hem of her dress with a multi-liner.  I added some depth to the greens with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS.  I paper pieced her oven mitts.  Crumb Cake, Jillibean papers, SU Border Punch, Lucky Limeade Ribbon, Linen Thread, and a Button.  My sketch is this weeks CPS152, my image was too big for an oval so I just went with a rectangle.  This is also my entry for this weeks Bellariffic Friday Challenge which is Anything Goes.

I was on Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Blog Hop today and came across Elaine from Quixotic Cards.  She did this cool color chart she called a Color Map and thought, what a great idea!  She's using a marker that is new to me (ShinHan Touch Twin Marker) and not Copics, but I still love the concept.  There's been a couple times I loved how a color combo turned out on a card I made, went back to look at the card and for the life of me couldn't remember what colors I used=(  So, I hope to do this for now on, for my own reference and if it helps someone else out as well, then great!

Thank-you for stopping by!  I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Congratulations Mikaela!!!

For my daughter, Mikaela.  She graduates from Massage Therapy School this evening!  We are so proud of her=)  She's juggled school, a job, two lil' ones and managed to keep up excellent grades!  Congratulations Sugar!

For my card I used Card Patterns 146.  I stamped Diplomabella in Memento Ink on Neenah, coloring with Copics.  I used Stickles and Smooch to embellish the flowers, cap, tassel, and diploma.  Then fussy cut her out and put her on pop dots.  Crumb Cake, Lucky Limeade, Black, and BG Origins Paper.  Nesties, SU Photo Corner Punch, Buttons, and Twine.  Sentiment from Stamping Bella.

On a side note...see my post below...I won the Christmas Day Give Away challenge!!!  I couldn't believe it!  I screamed and ran through the house like a mad woman doing the happy dance when I saw my name!  I was shocked!  Thank-you so very much to Jen and also the sponsors!!!

Thank-you for stopping by.  Have a great evening!

Patterned Pines

Ok, on Monday I was doing the Happy Dance!  I found out that my Team Edward card was picked as the winner of the Monday Funday #7 Twi-Color Combo Challenge....can you say shocked!?!?

This is for Card Patterns 142 and my last entry for Echo Park's FB Holiday Project Contest.  I started off stamping one of the three trees from the Patterned Pines set in Peach Parfait on Neenah then cut it out.  I mounted it on Echo Park Holly Jolly Christmas, Island Indigo, and Cherry Cobbler.  All my DSP is Echo Park's Holly Jolly Christmas with a Cherry Cobbler border.  Peach Parfait with a SU punch border, Denami Design Ribbon and Button, and Twine.
I hope ya'll have a wonderful Thanksgiving.  My daughter and grandboys are going to San Diego to visit some family while my hubs and I are going stay home with our chihuahua's and enjoy the alone time together.  We plan on serving Thanksgiving dinner at the VFW with some of my hubs co-workers.

Thank-you for stopping by!

Team Edward...

I'm not a huge Twilight fan, but got this image from The Greeting Farm a long time ago because I liked his preppy look.  I had no idea it was "Edward" and that I'd end up watching the Twilight series with my daughter (just 2 weeks ago) and that I'd be "Team Edward", lol.  I'll be off to see the movie late Thursday night with my daughter and a couple of my girlfriends so I thought I'd make a couple of cards for the occassion=)
My card ends up doing triple duty as far as challenges goes, that rarely happens for me.  First it's for the Monday Funday #7 Twi-Color Combo Challenge at TGF.  I used Card Patterns Sketch 141 and I'll be uploading my card to Echo Park Paper's FB Holiday Project Contest- to use "Season's Greetings", "Holly Jolly Christmas", or Dot's and Stripes Christmas".  I started out stamping Edward in Memento Ink on Neenah, coloring with Copics.  I over saturated his shoes, making a huge mess when I tried to clean it up so I cut him out.  In the end it worked out perfect for this sketch.  I stamped Team and Edward with and old CTMH Private Eye-Tiny Set.  I used Banner Day Die-namics, Silver Cord, Black Rhinestones, SU Photo Corner Punch, Black, White and Holly Jolly Christmas Paper.

Thank-you so much for stopping by, I hope you're having a great day!

Service and Sacrifice...

This is the first time that I've made Vetrans Day Cards.  I made 25 of them for my hubs troops, just wanted to thank them for their service and sacrifice and wish them a Happy Vetrans Day.  I used Card Patterns 140 for my layout, keeping things very clean and simple.  I started out stamping Flag Chickie in Memento Ink on Neenah, coloring with Copics.  SU Punches to crop him out.  Sentiment is from SU Silhouette Sentiments. I stamped Shooting Star in VersaMark Dazzle on Very Vanilla (hard to see in pic but gives a nice shimmery effect).  SU Scallop Punch for the Night of Navy layer.  Baroque Burgundy and Denami Design Buttons.  Inside I stamped, "Thanks for your dedicated SERVICE and SACRIFICE."

Thank-you for stopping by.

My Lil' Pumpkin...

So, I purchased my very first digital stamp!  I could never get them to print on Neenah so I wasn't too fond of them.  The ladies over at the SCS TGF Forum gave me (well my hubs) great advice and wha~la...out came Hallo Pumpkin on Neenah Cardstock!  Can you say Happy Dance!!!  My grandson Connor was a Pumpkin for Halloween and I really wanted to make him a card with this image.  Yes, a day late...but he doesn't know that;)
This is my entry for Monday Funday.  I used Card Patterns 139.  Pumpkin Pie, MME, SU DSP, Sentiment from Happy Fall set.

My youngest grandson Connor, He was 14 months on Halloween.  He's such a sweet and gentle lil' guy.

My oldest grandson Wylie.  He's 2 1/2.  He is such a character.  He was so sweet last night, he'd ask if he could have a piece of candy for Connor.  He'd take 1 piece, say, "Thank-you" then go running to Poppa who had Connor in the stroller and toss the candy in Connor's pumpkin.  It was so sweet=)  The boys were so good and had so much fun.
Thank-you so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a great rest of your week!

My entry for Card Patterns 134.  I thought this Thanksgiving Chickies Set from Denami Design was perfect for this layout.  I stamped my images with Momento Ink on Neenah then used my Nesties.  I colored with Copics, used smooch to give the chickies some shimmer, an orange glaze pen on the beaks and a clear glaze pen on their head gear.  Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler, Pumpkin Pie, Crumb Cake Cardstock.  SU Punch, Denami Design Button, SU Linen Thread, Ribbon.

I had a great trip up to Goodyear on Friday=)  Chelsea did an awesome job on my hair.  I ate lunch at Ikea...does anyone else love their Swedish Meatballs??? Yum!  I also did some Christmas shopping there.  Then it was off to Scrapbooks Etc.  I picked up some fun papers...October Afternoon, My Mind's Eye, Pinkpaislee, and Echo Park=)

Denami Theme Challenge 7...

I've had this card in my head ever since the Water Lily was released from Denami Design.  Their Theme Challenge #7 is Animals.  Tho my card is mostly Water Lillies there is a lil' Froggy in there=)  I have to share really quick that this is my very first card that I've sewn on!  My sweet friend Kat came over on Friday for a few hours to teach me how to sew (I still need lots of practice tho!).  Thank-you so much Kat!!!  Ok now back to the card details...
I took a piece of Neenah cardstock and sewed a rectangle first since I am just a beginner and can barely sew a straight line=)  I sponged Adirondack Aqua from the edges to almost center, then Distress Ink in Faded Jeans around the edges.  SU oval punches, notching out a small triangle in Old Olive cardstock, sponging Old Olive ink around the edges.  I stamped the Water Lily several times on Neenah Cardstock, coloring with my Copics.  For the middle Water Lily I colored and cut several layers, glueing them on for dimension, them popped it up on foam squares.  For the Froggy I used Neenah, colored with Copics, cut out, Crystal Lacquered the whole lil' guy and popped him on a foam square too.  I didn't have matching ribbon so I colored white grossgrain ribbon with an Old Olive Marker.  I mounted my main image panel on Iridescent Pearl then used foam squares to mount it to Magenta Cardstock.  I used Card Patterns 132 for my layout but unfortunately I started my card, put it down, picked it up, put it down, etc. and didn't finish on time to enter it before the deadline=(
I hope you have a great day!

Podziękowania

My friend Meg and her daughter went to Poland for their Missionary trip.  I had mentioned a few weeks before the trip if she had room in her suitcase would she pick me up a Polish Pottery Spoon Rest.  Mine broke several months ago...I almost cried when it happened, I knew there was no replacing it=(  When I found out Meg was going, I asked.  Nothing was ever mentioned about it again, except the night before her flight she made a fb post about how was she going to get her carry on from 50lbs to 15lbs.  I thought, gosh, there's no way I could ask her or remind her to get that spoon rest for me.  Well, she got back a day or two before my birthday and told me she got my spoon rest!  I was so surprised.  I haven't gotten it yet, but as you can see I am SO excited to receive it, I made a thank-you card for her before I got it, lol=)
For my card I used Card Patterns 127.  I stamped Wonderful Wings (retired) on Crumb Cake Cardstock with Momento Ink, coloring with Copics.  I added Smooch to the body and just a tad on the wings then covered the whole thing in Crystal Lacquer.  BG Out of Print and Marvvy Punch (blue) to make the flowers, Crystal Lacquer and Glamour Dust on the edges and a Black Rhinestone in the middle of the flower.  I made the greenery from the Cricut Storybook Cartridge, then sponged it with Old Olive and Always Artichoke.  Crumb Cake run through the CB and sponged with Crumb Cake.  Lacy Circle Nestie cut out in Pumpkin Pie and sponged with Pumpkin Pie.  Maya Road Orange Ribbon then SU Victoria Trim on top.  BG solid black panel on top of a Crumb Cake base sponged with Crumb Cake.
Thank-you for stopping by!

A Victoria Garden Birthday...

I made this for Card Patterns 126 sketch challenge and for someone who has a birthday coming up=)  I used Anabel Lulu for my first time (though I tested her out at our midnight mania on Friday with my prismacolor pencils-major fail!).  Anyhow...I stamped her with Momento Ink on Neenah, coloring with Copics.  I colored her hair with a Copic Multiliner and added white highlights.  I added smooch to the pink part of her dress and a glitter pen to the flowers and her ribbon.  Smooch then Stickles to the frosting on the cake and a glaze pen to the cake stand.  Sea Breeze and Wheat Versa Magic Ink for shading around the image.  Going Gray, (and I am!) Echo Park Victoria Gardens Paper, Nestie, SU Basic Gray Ribbon, CB Folder, and Tim Holtz Distress Ink very lightly around the edges.
Thank-you so much for stopping by!  Only 5 more days left to enter my BIRTHDAY BLOGIVERSARY GIVEAWAY!!!

Katie's Baby Shower...

I made this for my boss Katie.  Her baby shower was earlier this week, and oh my heck...she had a fabulous shower held in her honor by a few of our wonderful customers- Karen, Sandra, and Debbie, and my co-workers- Alex, Karina, Kiera, and Jessica.  Also lots of help from Karen's daughter's Melissa and Mandy.  These ladies did a wonderful job with all the fun decorations and delicious food.  What an amazing and fun filled night it was for everyone!

For my card I used Cards Patterns 123, flipping it on it's side.  I stamped Teddybella in Momento Ink on Neenah, coloring with Copics.  I added some Smooch and a Gel Pen to highlight.  I used 1x1 squares, stamping the letters from a very old CTMH Set, I went around the edges with a glue pen, then sprinkled them with Glamour Dust.  SU Basic Gray, MME Lime Twist paper, Prima Flowers, Misc Button, Twine, Nestie, Pop Dots.

Purple Pixie...

For a dear sweet friend of mine...she came to my rescue a couple of weeks ago and sent me her reinker when my retired SU ink pad started to go dry.  I was in the middle of making 40 Baptism Cards for a friend and seriously started to have a panic attack!  My dear sweet friend (Shannon) saved my day and I was able to finish the Baptism Cards with a nice juicy ink pad=)  Shannon loves the color purple.  To thank her for saving me, I sent her a couple of purple handmade goodies that Karen has on consignment at our store=)
I entered my card in this weeks Bellarific Friday Challenge.  The theme was Mother's Day.  This works for me=)  I also used this weeks Card Patterns Sketch 112.  I stamped my Pixie in Momento Ink on Neenah Cardstock, coloring her in with Copics.  I used Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, Bermuda Bay and My Mind's Eye new line, Lime Twist.  Nesties, Die-namics, Denami Ribbon, and the sentiment is from A Muse Stamps.
Thank-you so much for stopping by, have a wonderful weekend!

Don't sweat getting older...

For my co-worker Kiera who's birthday is today.  Happy Birthday Kiera!  Kiera's into fitness so I thought Barbella from Stamping Bella would be a perfect image to use for her card.  I stamped my image with Momento ink on Papertrey Paper, (thanks Kiera!) coloring her ink with Copic Markers.  I added a glaze pen to the dumbbells.  I lightly sponged around my image with Versamagic Sea Breeze and Wheat Chalk Inks.  I also add Wheat to the edges of my DSP.  The Sentiment is from Hambo Stamps.  I started out using Card Patterns Sketch 100...I ended up flipping it, skooching it off to one side and adding a sentiment panel.
Thanks for stopping by, have a great week!

Fell for You...

I made this card (before I left for Idaho) for my daughter's best friend Jessi who's getting married today.  Since I forgot to do a prepost before leaving AZ, I've had the opportunity to meet Jessi and get to know her a little.  She is such a kind, sweet, lady with such a giving heart.  I've enjoyed the time I've spent with her and I'm so glad I had the pleasure of getting to know her.  Her and her fiance were kind enough to give me their parking spot while I stayed at Mikaela's apartment (thank-you, thank-you, thank-you!) I appreciated that SO much!  Jessi is the reason I stayed in Idaho so long...Mikaela's her Maid of Honor and Wylie's a ring bearer=)  I wish her and Tim a long happy life together!
Ok...onto my card!  I really like how it turned out.  I love the colors fall bring and I'm so thankful to be here to see the turning of the leaves one last time.  I used Card Patterns Sketch 78.  I colored Tied-the-knot-abella from Stamping Bella in with my Prismacolor Pencils and OMS on Neenah Cardstock.  I used Crystal Lacquer on the mirrors and all the metal parts.  I also added some Smooch to the Bride's Veil to give it some shimmer.
Thank-you for stopping by.  One more day then we are headed home...FINALLY!!!
