Happy Birthday my lil' Country Girl...

Happy Birthday to my lil' Country Girl Shirey!!!  I first met Shirey cycling up Mt. Lemmon with the Tucson Tri Girls 3 years ago.  This year we won't be cycling up our beautiful mountain as it's been on fire for the last 10 days.  I've had a great time going from cycling buddies to becoming friends with Shirey.  She is one crazy lady who is always laughing and having a good time.

I used this week's SC805 for my layout.  I stamped My Favorite Things Pure Innocence Cowgirl in memento ink on neenah, coloring with copics then fussy cutting her out.  I put her on pop dots for dimension.  I made a "piece of wood" using More Mustard and Close to Cocoa ink.  Gorgeous Grape Cardstock and some rhinestones cause Shirey likes her bling!
Me and Shirey not in cycling gear, it happens every now and then!

Thank you for stopping by!

Sugar Sweet Ermalinda...

My sweet dear Ermalinda is such an amazing friend and teammate.  I'm so lucky to have her in my life and call her my friend.  When we get together all we do is laugh and have a great time.  I can't wait until I get to see her again!

Ermalinda loves Sugar Skulls.  It's one stamp I don't own so I had to print a coloring page to create her card.  I colored the image with copics.  Flirty Flamingo and black card stock.  Embellished with rhinestones.  Kept it sweet and simple.

Have a wonderful day!

Howdy Sid...

I saw this beautiful card on Pinterest and knew I had to recreate it for my besties step dad for his birthday.  Sid is so down to earth and easy going, I just love the time I get to spend with him when he's down for a visit.  I'm so blessed to have such amazing best friends who's family has welcomed me with open arms.  Love you Sid, Happy Birthday!

Theresa did a fabulous job with step by step directions on how to create this card.  I didn't have all the ink colors she had so I did what I could with what I had.  I used More Mustard, Peach Parfait and Close to Cocoa for the background.  SU Fabulous Flamino set for the grass.  I masked and sponged black for the ground.  The most challenging part for me was trying to create the fence.  All the color options I was using just didn't look right.  I ended up using More Mustard and Close to Cocoa.  The front post has pop dots on it for dimension.  Copics for the hat and boots.  Linen thread for the rope.  Baked Brown Sugar, Early Espresso, and Pumpkin Pie card stock.
