Smile...

Back in July I asked my friends on FB to send me their address if they'd like a card from me.  At the time I was way ahead of my card making schedule so I wanted to send out some RAK's.  The holidays quickly creeped up and so did upcoming birthday's and that RAK list was put on hold.  I'm once again caught up on my list (for the moment, haha!) and thought I'd get a RAK out.  This one goes out to a friend of mine who like photography and the colors red and blue.

Smile...
I really like the January Starter Sketch Challenge No. 16 so I thought I'd use it again with this card.  I knew I wanted to use the My Favorite Things Insert It Instaframe Die-namics and have some sort of "Polaroid Picture" look to my card.  I used the Stamping Bella image Saycheeseabella that I was gifted many years ago.  I colored her with Copics and mounted the Instaframe on top of the image.  Next I die cut the MFT Essential Stitched Sentiments with white card stock, then mounted the letters from the MFT Captions Alphabe Die-namics in Real Red.  I mounted the layer on a white card base and topped it off with some baubles from Stamping Bella.

Thank you for stopping by!
Have a fabulous day!

Celebrate, It's Your Birthday...

For my friend Vicki.  She loves to cook and bake so I thought the My Favorite Things Birthdays Take the Cake stamp set would be perfect to use for her...

Celebrate, It's Your Birthday...

I always struggle with a layout for my cards.  When I'm in a slump, I look on my various go to websites for sketch ideas to get my mojo going.  I came across this Sketch Starter Challenge and wanted to give it a go.  What I really love about this challenge is that it's a monthly challenge, not weekly.  You can participate as many times as you like.  And...there's four sketches to choose from.  Do one, or do them all.  A lot of times I'll participate in a challenge but a week is not enough time for me to blog and get it uploaded to the challenge, I'm lazy, I know.  Anyhow, I stamped my images and run them through the cuttlebug with the coordinating die-namics.  I used Neenah card stock and colored them with copics.  I used a clear star glaze pen on the candles, stickles on the cake, and a clear glaze pen on the frosting and stand.  I also filled in the sentiment with stickles.  I love the glittery pop it adds to the card.  I used Rose Romance card stock and Echo Park Happy Together paper and mounted my image on popdots.

Celebrate, It's Your Birthday...
It's snowing today...a rare sight in the desert!

Thank you for taking a look at my blog, have a wonderful day

Follow the Rules...

I've been Zwifting (an online cycling app that connects riders all over the world) since March.  I came across this wonderful group called The HERD and started riding with them.  They are so supportive, encouraging, and inspiring.  In December there was a challenge called the Rapha 500- ride 500 km between Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.  I knew I wouldn't be able to ride the 500 km during that time frame with the Holidays, but I wanted to participate in some of the group rides being held.  Stuart, who's also a coach, put together 8 days of riding with different routes so people could earn the route badges while being held together as a group.  I did two of the rides, earning two of the harder badges I needed and also won one of the drawings that Stuart held after each ride.  I wanted to make him a card to thank him for his sweet surprise that came in the mail and also for putting together the rides.

Follow the Rules...
I took inspiration for my card from Stuart's business logo.  I used strips of White, Basic Gray, Black and Real Red card stock to make the background.  I used the My Favorite Things Confetti All Around Stencil with Basic Gray ink, then stamped the Hero Arts bike in black in the middle.  I mounted it on a black circle and put in on pop dots.  I used MFT Big Greetings for the sentiment, stamped in Versamark and embossed with White Embossing Powder on Real Red card stock using the Essential Stitched Sentiment Die-namics.  I used MFT Star Staxx for the stars.

My inspiration, Stuart's business logo.

The goodies I received.

Thank you for stopping by.
Have a wonderful week!

Missing You...

For my dear sweet friend and awesome teammate, Ermalinda.  I miss her so very much.  We always have such a great time together...I wish I could see her and give her a big 'ole (((HUG))).

Missing You...
I was so excited to receive my My Favorite Things Wild About Rainbows Card Kit.  I've been on a rainbow kick lately.  They make me smile and brighten my day, I hope my friends like them...I see a lot of them in my upcoming creations!  Anyhow, I started out using the MFT Color Blast Die-namics.  I ran it through the Cuttlebug using MFT cardstock in Wild Cherry, Orange Zest, Lemon Drop, Limelight, Cornflower, and Boysenberry.  Next I used MFT Cute Cloud Outlines Die-namics in white, putting the solid one on pop dots.  I stamped the unicorn from the new MFT Friendly Unicorn set (I just love this set!), colored it with copics, used clear star gel pen on the horn and mane and used the coordinating die-namics to cut it out.  The sentiment is from the MFT I Miss Your Hugs stamp set.

Missing You...

Rainbow Bridge...

For one of my dear friends that had to say goodbye to their precious fur baby.

Rainbow Bridge...

I started out stamping the dog from the My Favorite Things Pure Innocence Dog Gone Cute set in Memento ink on Neenah card stock.  I colored it with a black copic marker, fussy cut it out then coated it with a glaze pen.  I used the MFT Snowdrift die-namics to make the grass hills in Granny Apple Green.  MFT Rainbow die-namics using Only Orange, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Pacific Point, Gorgeous Grape, Real Red, and Melon Mambo card stock.  MFT Flat Bottom Clouds run through the cuttlebug pindot folder topped with a Wink of Stella.  MFT Captions Alphabet die-namics and the heart from the Love Speech Bubbles die-namics.  I colored the sky using Copics.

Thank You for taking a peek at my blog.  I hope you have a wonderful week!

Paper Hugs...

For a friend of mine who could use a Paper (((HUG)))...
Paper Hugs...

I absolutely fell in love with the My Favorite Things Wild About Rainbows Card Kit and had to have it!  I got my inspiration for the card from one of the examples in the kit and also from a card I saw on Pinterest using the cloud stencil in rainbow colors.  I started out stamping the rainbow using my stamparatus, so happy I invested in one!  I used Real Red, Only Orange, Granny Apple Green, and Bermuda Bay.  I masked the rainbow and began making the clouds with Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay ink.  This was my first time using the cloud stencil, I definitely need some practice!  I wasn't quite sure how they'd turn out, but I hoped well enough that I wouldn't have to toss the effort.  Using the same colors, I sponged the sky then added splatters with an ink sprayer and Taken with Teal Marker.  I added white gel dots as well.  I used the Essential Stitched Sentiment Die-namic and the sentiment from the My Favorite Things I Miss Your Hugs stamp set.

Thank you for stopping by!
I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Smile on my Face...

For my sweet SU demonstrator, Darla.  She surprised me with a stamp set when she dropped off the Sale-a-bration and mini SU catalogs.  I knew I had to make her a thank-you card using the set she gave me.  Thank you Darla for your kindness!

Smile on my Face...
I started out with a white layer ran through the cuttlebug.  Then I used stampabilites scallop circle in Barely Banana and layered it with My Favorite Things Wonky Stitch Circle die-namic in white, stamped with the sentiment from the SU Thankful Thoughts set Darla gave me.  I uset the MFT Winter Rose Die-namic and Royal Leaves Die-namic, using Purely Pomegranate, Barely Banana, Creamy Caramel, and Mint Macaron cardstock.

Smile on my Face...
Thank you Darla!

Thanks so much for stopping bye!

Happy Birthday Carol...

Happy Birthday to my Mother-in-law, Carol!  I hope you have a wonderful day!

I worked on this over a few days.  Coloring and coloring, layering colors until I got the look I wanted.  I used My Favorite Things Lavish Lilies on Neenah with Momento ink, coloring with Copics.  After I colored the lilies I did the background with Copics as well.  I added some white to it with a gel pen.  I need some practice adding these highlights.  To me it looks a bit like snow.  I stamped the sentiment from The Cat's Pajamas on Tangerine Tango, run through the Cuttlebug with The My Favorite Things Essential Stitched Sentiment Die-namic.  Tempting Turquoise layer and Early Espresso base.

Ornamental Thanks...

Thank you's for my hubs co-worker, Jamie who made us a mask ornament for our tree, it's so cute and absolutely perfect for 2020!  And another thank you for my teammate and friend, Brooke who made me the cutest ornament out of a bike gear.  The tag stands for Tucson Women's Group Ride that we are both Ride Leaders for.  On the back it says, "The Year of Zwift" which is totally perfect since we had to move our rides from outside to inside on a virtual platform called Zwift.  It's been great fun being able to still do our weekly rides and ride with people virtually all over the world.
Ornamental Thanks...

I used the SC833 layout.  I stamped Sparkling Season A la Mode from My Favorite Things in Memento ink on Neenah card stock that was run through the cuttle bug using the Stitched Rectangle die-namic.  I colored her with copics.  I paper pieced the ornament with Echo Park Holly Jolly Paper.  Magenta Madness for my base.  Sentiment from the My Favorite Things A la Mode Blue with out You stamp set.

Ornaments from Jamie and Brooke...
Ornamental Thanks...

Thank you for stopping by.  I hope you're having an awesome New Year.

Hodge Podge of Cards from 2017- Ooops!

Was going through my SCS gallery looking for a card I had made my son-in-law for his birthday one year and couldn't find it.  I thought I was losing my mind, lol...I know I made it but for the life of me I couldn't find it in my gallery.  So...I went looking through my card albums on my computer and found it along with a hand full of cards that were never edited...which of course meant that they were never blogged or added to SCS, ooopsie!
