Welcome...

I had two neighbors move in the same weekend...a month ago.  I feel so bad that I haven't properly greeted them yet.  We met our neighbors across the street the day they were moving in and I just happen to met the other ones this evening.  I made them both cards and lime pies today and will drop them off tomorrow.  Here's the cards I made them...
I used CAS171, it was a sketch.  I stamped the house in Cherry Cobbler on Crumb Cake, Mounting it on a Nigh of Navy panel.  I stamped Welcome from the SU set Warm Words using my new Stamp-a-ma-jig (where has that thing been all my life?).  I mounted the Crumb Cake panel on a Cherry Cobbler panel then on a Crumb Cake base.  Very Clean and Simple!

My card actually goes with some pictures I wanted to share with you from last night.  I can't explain the emotion I felt welcoming home the WWII Veterans from their Honor Flight to DC.  My friend asked me to bring a camera to take pictures for the media who couldn't be there.  I brought two, one for her and one for me=)  So, below is some pictures I took of the evening.  Keep in mind I am not a photographer, lol...

My picture partner and her hubby=)

The Welcoming Crowd=)

She was so sweet!

I wished I got a better picture of her sign!

Some of the Vets came down the escalator...

While others took the elevator...

They each had an escort.

The beginning of the receiving line.

These two were the first down the receiving line.

And the last down the receiving line.

My hubs in the middle=)

If you made it this far, thank-you for taking the time to look at my photos and get a glimpse of what my night was like.  I honeslty can't put into words the emotion I felt seeing these Veterans come down the escalator or round the corner from the elevator then make their way down the receiving line.  I fought back tears as I took pictures.  It's moments like these that make me love being a military wife even more than I already do.  Thank-you so much for visiting my blog today!
