Merry Christmas!!! I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas with their friends, family, or friends that have become family. This is my last month as a guest designer for the Splicoaststampers Dirty Dozen Design Team. These last 6 months sure have flown by! This is my first entry for November's theme, Into The Woods. Our challenge was to create cards with woodland animals, gnomes, mushrooms, ferns, cabins, fairies and other forest themes. Create cards with faux wood finishes, or use images with wooden or branch parts (like branches for snowmen). I made this for one of our cyclists, Troy who recently moved to Tucson and joined our Tuesday group.
I started out creating the background using Old Olive, Garden Green, YoYo Yellow, Daffodil Delight, Only Orange, Pumpkin Pie, Calypso Coral, Real Red, Cajun Craze, Cherry Cobbler, Berry Burst, Blackberry Bliss, and Black inks. I die cut Frantic Stamper Howling Coyotes, My Favorite Things Birch Tree Forest Cover Up Die-namics and a circle in White. I used a glitter pen to highlight the trees and moon. Then I used Opaque White Gel to splatter over my image. I mounted my panel on a white card base. I sat with the card like this for a couple of days and wasn't really happy with how it looked, I felt like it was missing something so I die cute the coyote and trees in black and off set it so the white with the glitter highlights would show.
