GABA Toy Ride 2024...

Each year GABA hosts a Toy Ride for underprivileged children.  They have Toy Drives set up all around the community.  On the second Saturday of December several ride leaders will lead rides from various locations around town.  We encourage our riders to dress up and decorate their bikes.  With toys in tow, we all ride our bikes to a central meeting location where we drop off the toys and have refreshments.  I've done this ride many times as a participant, but decided to start leading a ride on my side of town with my co-ride leader.  This was our second leading the Toy Ride.  We had a great time!  To encourage our riders to be festive, we had a contest for most festively dressed and best decorated bike.  These are the cards I made with Starbucks gift cards inside.

Thank you Tim...

A very special thank you card for our local bicycle shop (Cyclefit Solutions) owner, Tim.  I co-lead a Tuesday Ride with my dear friend, Linden.  He surprised us with creating a kit to honor us for leading rides for him for 3 years.  It was such a thought gift and I can't thank Tim enough for the generousity he's shown us.  We absolutely love leading rides for his shop and have met so many wonderful people in the process.
Thank you Tim...
My card is pretty basic as I replicated the kit that Tim had made for us.  It did take me some time to do all the masking and figure out all the right proportions and colors for the card.  I used Petal Pink, Pretty in Pink, Bubble Bath, Bashful Blue, Ballet Blue, Balmy Blue, Bermuda Bay, Taken with Teal, Blueberry Bushel, Night of Navy, Almost Amethyst, Lavender Lace, and Gorgeous Grape inks and My Favorite Things High Rise Lower Case Alphabet Die-namics.

Thank you Tim...
My work in progress.

Thank you Tim...
I'm happy with how it turned out.

Thank you Tim...
Tim had cycling caps made too.  The cap matches the back pockets of the jersey.

Thank you Tim...

Wishing You a Speedy Recovery...

Happy Saturday Everyone!  If you haven't heard, Kim with My Favorite Things Stamps is closing her doors.  I can't tell you how sad this makes me feel.  My Favorite Things has been my favorite stamp company for the last 15+ years.  I just adored all the Pure Innocence images and loved all the creative die-namics that were available.  I had always hoped to one day visit her beautiful store front one day.  I hate to see her shut her doors, but understand how difficult business had been for many small business owners over the last 5 years.  My heart breaks for her to have to say goodbye to her company, but I look forward to hearing about her next chapter in life.

Onto my card...
For a dear friend of mine who crashed during El Tour de Tucson.
Wishing You a Speedy Recovery...
I used SC826 for my layout.  My Favorite Things Pure Innocence Better Get Better, stamping her in memento ink, coloring her with copics.  My Favorite Things Wonky Stitch die-namics, My Minds Eye Sunnyside Paper, and the ribbon is from Stampin' Up.

Thanks so much for having a look!

Thanks Tod...

To thank Tod for hosting a group of our friends to plan a cycling trip to Girona.  He made escargot, it was delicious!  In the end, I didn't end up going.  They all had a great time.
Thanks Tod...
Super simple card using Stampin' Up Unfrogettable and Wonderful Words stamp sets.  Colored with Copics.  Finished off my card with  Denami Design Ribbon (my absolute favorite!  I'm going to be sad when I run out!) and a Wink of Stella.

Thank you for having a peek at my blog!

Happy Birthday Linda...

I'm so far behind with my blogging.  I'm posting from mid December.  Eventually I'll get caught up, ha!  This was for my best friend's mom for her birthday.

Happy Birthday Linda...
I love this technique (black magic), but hardly use it.  I stamped My Favorite Things Gathered with Love in versamark ink on black cardstock, then colored it with prismacolor pencils.  Stamped my sentiment from the My Favorite Things Something for Everyone stamp set in white craft ink, then embossed with white embossing powder.  Finished off my card with a white gel pen and baubles from Stamping Bella.

Thanks for stopping by!

Welcome to AZ...

I made these for the incoming Homestretch Foundation Cyclists (Stretchies).  The Homestretch Foundation is a nonprofit organization that provides temporary housing and other resources to professional or elite athletes- primarily female athletes- who face financial and economic discrepancies.  Kathryn Bertine hand selects the athletes that will stay at the Homestretch.  The "Stretchies" come each year from December-May to train.  They are required to give back to their community and volunteer during their stay here.  One way that they interact with and get to know the community is with a weekly "Spin with the Stretchies" ride.  A relaxed recovery ride that is open to everyone.  We have age ranges from 11-80+ year old's!!!
Welcome to AZ...
