Thank You Carnival Cruise #2...

A thank you card for the waiter on our cruise.  We appreciated how well he took care of us...he always had a cheese plate on the table for us when we sat for dinner and never placed bread/a bread plate for me.  We also went on a Sunset Sailboat Adventure while in one of the ports, it was so beautiful!

Thank You Carnival Cruise #2...
This card was also created for the Dirty Dozen August Theme- Your Mileage May Vary.  We were challenged to celebrate vacations with cards that feature vacation spots and ways to get there.  Ideas were, to make a card featuring something you like to do on vacation- eat, read, rest, play, craft?  Or use a map on your card.  I used Frantic Stampers Ocean Sunset Scene, Frantic Stamper Lighthouse and Boats die and the My Favorite Things Shady Palm die-namics.  The inks I used were YoYo Yellow, Only Orange Real Red, Melon Mambo, Berry Burst, Elegant Eggplant, Tempting Turquoise, Pacific Point, and Night of Navy.  Black and White card stock.

Thanks for stoppinb by!

Thank You Carnival Cruise...

A Thank you card for our bartender, Marina.  The first evening of our cruise I asked her to make me something sweet and coconutty.  She came up with the best drink ever!  I have no idea what was in it, but I drank them for our entire 7 day cruise!

That's Rough Challenge- Happy Birthday Linden!!!

My 2nd entry for the Dirty Dozen Challenge, That's Rough.  This one is also my favorite.  Living in Tucson, I have a love for our Saguaro Cactus/Cacti, our amazing mountains, and breathtaking sunrises/sunsets.  We also have some of the best cycling here with our beloved Mt. Lemmon being ranked #3 on The 30 Hardest Climbs in the World.

Anyhow, we were tasked with adding texture to our cards.  Some ideas given were- to use sand, sandpaper, grit medium, glitter, distress embossing powder, or to use sandpaper to distress our panel.  For my my texture portion I added a Wink of Stella to the white portions that the Saguaro's are in.  Then I used a fine tip glue pen to trace the stencil portions and add the brown glitter.  The picture doesn't show the shimmer on the bike, but I used Pearl Ex Interference Blue on Marina Mist.  It turned out to be just like my co-ride leaders paint job on her bike.  I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome!  I love how playing with long lost supplies turns into a perfect find.
That's Rough Challenge- Happy Birthday Linden!!!
This was for my dear friend and co-ride leader, Linden.  We had a birthday celebration for her after our Tuesday ride.

That's Rough Challenge- Happy Retirement...

My first entry for the Dirty Dozen That's Rough Challenge.  We were tasked with adding texture to our cards.  Some ideas given were- to use sand, sandpaper, grit medium, glitter, distress embossing powder, or to use sandpaper to distress our panel.
That's Rough Challenge- Happy Retirement...
For my texture portion I used a Xyron Sticker Maker and placed my wave portion face down so the sticky side will be face up.  I poured glitter over the waves until I was satisfied with how it look and sealed it will hairspray.
Products used were-  My Favorite Things Serene Sunset, A2 Rectangle Frame, and Fishtail Foundations die-namics.  MFT Life's a Beach Stamp Set (sentiment).  Melon Mambo, White, Black, Daffodil Delight, White, and Highland Heather card stock.  White Craft Ink and White Embossing Powder.

Dirty Dozen Summer Job Theme...

This is number 5 for the Dirty Dozen Summer Job Theme.  This one is a Library Assistant.  My daughter loved to go to story time every week over the summer at the library.  She also loved to pick out books to read until we returned the following week to check out new ones.

I kept this one CAS.  I used My Favorite Things ALM Here's the Story, stamping her with Memento ink along with the sentiment.  Then I ran it throuth the die-cut machine using the MFT Notebook Edge die-namics.  I colored her with copics, then mounted her on an orange card base.

Thank you for having a peek at my blog!

Summer Job Theme- Dog Walker...

This is my 6th card I made for the Dirty Dozen Design Team Monthly Challenge.  The theme was Summer Job.  While the kids were out for summer break, I had seen a lot of posters on our mailboxes for Dog Walkers.  They have to start dog walking pretty early during the summer, it gets hot quick here!
Summer Job Theme- Dog Walker...
I kept this one CAS.  I stamped my Walkabella image from Stamping Bella on Neenah card stock with Memento ink, coloring her with copics.  I mounted her on a piece of  Pool Party.  I layered my Pool Party card base with a piece of  Echo Park So Happy Together paper, then added my ribbon and mounted my mail panel.
I hope you like what I've created for my first month as Dirty Dozen Guest Designer!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Summer Jobs...

My 4th card for the Dirty Dozen Monthly Challenge, Summer Jobs.  I picked Camp Counselor for this one.  I remember camping a lot as a kid.  The best times were with the girl scouts and 6th grade camp.  I loved being by the fire at night singing camp fire songs, roasting marshmallows, and telling scary stories.
I used S'mores Riley and Tent Riley.  My favorite Things Bear Hug Bunch for the tree stumps.  I took a circle die and cut out a mask for the moon using Removable ID Labels.  Then I colored the scene using copic markers.  I mounted my panel on a YoYo Yellow card base.

Thank you so much for stopping by!
