Happy 50th Jackie...

For my cycling buddy and good friend, Jackie for her 50th birthday.
I found inspiration for my card from a couple of cards I saw on pinterest.  I wanted to keep the card CAS and highlight the 50.  I used my very neglected cricut to make the 50.  Then used My Favorite Things Traditional Tags Stax Die-namics.  I ran a pice of Melon Mambo through a paper crimper and mounted the tag on top of the base card that was run through a cuddlebug embossing folder.  Topped it with a button and some ribbon.

Jackie and I at Madera Canyon for our first time.

You're a Super Star...

For my Super Star, Erma...such a great cycling buddy, teammate, and amazing friend.  My day is always brighter when she's around, love you my dear friend!

I used the MFT You're Super Stamp Set and Die-namics and the Stary Sky Stencil.  My first time using both.  Colored the girl with copics and highlighted spots with a Clear Star gel pen.

Me and Erma at one of our races.

Me and Shirey actually out of cycling gear!

Happy Birthday Alan...

I made this for my teammate Alan.  For his birthday he wanted to cycle up Mt. Lemmon.  We did it on a day that was also a supported ride sponsored by GABA.  It  was in May, great weather at the base but the weather turned as we were climbing.  Alan didn't have a base layer or gloves or anything to block the wind and keep him warm on our descend down the mountain.  Luckily GABA had newspapers to put in our jerserys "just in case".

I tried to get close to our team colors.  I used Lucky Limeade and Brilliant Blue.  The Bicycle is from Hero Arts and the sentiment from MFT Little Loveosaurus.  The printed paper is from S.E.I. Black Orchid paper pad.  I used SC749 for my layout.

Happy HP Birthday Andrea!!!

My teammate Andrea loves Harry Potter.  My hubs found a template online for me to make her this birthday card.  Unfortunately I don't know where he found it to give credit, sorry!!!

I started by cutting out the hair and lightening bolt from the template and tracing them on the backside of the card stock.  For the glassed I used spellbinder circles in two sizes together to get the thin circles.  I cut a small strip for the frames and stuck the circles to it then trimmed the pieces away in the middle of the circles.  I pieced the scarf together on a strip of card stock to give it slight dimension and it was a bit easier to put on the card.  I also used pop dots for the hair for dimension.  The card stock I used was Very Vanilla for my base, black, Crushed Curry and Cherry Cobbler.

Dann's the Man...

I made this thank you card for my teammate Dann.  He let me borrow one of his team jersey's (we have a black and white version) so I could match the rest of the gals I was riding with during the Triple Crown Challenge over Easter weekend.

I wanted to keep the card clean and simple.  I had bought this Gina K. Designs set Lil Tees a long time ago from a friend and finally used it for the fist time.  Although it's not a cycling jersey, I thought it was perfect for my card.  I stamped the shirt in memento and the sentiment in Brilliant Blue and Green Galore.  Neenah base card run through the cuttlebug.  Black cardstock and Green Galore Chevron Stripes from My Favorite things...I tried to made it look like a road using our team colors.

Me and Dann...only two that showed up for a team ride.
He's wondering where everyone is, ha!
